All the things no one openly shares: Despite how enamored I am with our little girl and all the cute pictures on Facebook, these first three weeks have been extremely stressful. Nursing has been anything but easy, and because our daughter is so tiny I have felt nothing but pressure for her to gain weight as quickly as possible... very difficult when breastfeeding is proving difficult. The onset of vasospasms so painful that it felt like a cigarette burning me straight through to my shoulder blade finally led me to make an appointment with My Pure Delivery. First of all, it was not covered by my insurance because Blue Cross Blue Shield sucks. But every dollar I paid out of pocket was worth the time they spent with me to ensure I felt comfortable utilizing the strategies they helped me master with their help. Additionally, they allowed me to come back periodically to weigh her at no additional cost so that we could monitor her weight without paying for yet another doctor's visit. I am forever grateful for the assistance My Pure Delivery gave me with a skill no one teaches you about, you are just supposed to inherently know how to do, and is perhaps the most stressful task I've ever had to do. It was very easy to get an appointment at my pure delivery. After my son was in the NICU and had issues feeding, we had all but thrown in the towel on breastfeeding. This place is a godsend! My wife and I just had our first child and she was losing weight not gaining :( Our pediatrician recommended My Pure Delivery to help us in getting her weight back in course. We called and they were helpful, friendly, and scheduled us easily. Jenna was our lactation consultant and she was amazing. Within 30 minutes she had our baby feeding from the breast, with the assistance of a nipple shield, and my wives spirits sky high. They use precise scales to measure feed amounts to verify the feedings, along with teaching techniques and positions. The session was an hour and a half and it flew by. Within an hour or so of our session, Jenna sent a very detailed/personalized follow up email with the information and a plan outlining the goals. We had a virtual consultation with Mellisa (based out of Dallas) who was also very helpful. We borrowed a scale from the local Cedar Park location for the day and Mellisa guided us through all the steps and helped with techniques and questions. Again, we were able to confirm the amount the baby was eating and Mellisa was very pleased with the results. She also sent a follow up email within an hour with specific links and recommendations based on the questions we had. Overall, this place is great for first time breast feeders and anyone with specific feeding issues. I just got done with my 3rd visit. My husband, daughter and I have been lucky to have them on our team for my breast feeding journey. The consultant was so nice and understanding but their reschedule policy is just dumb. My first appointment they rescheduled last minute and was fine but I wanted to reschedule one day before (2:10) while my appointment was 9:00 am and they wanted to collect the 25 dls. So is dumb that it affects me but not theirs only when is convenient to them. If you are a first mom you know is difficult to have time to do the calls you need on time especially if you are sick and have to handle your rest, feeding your self and taking care of a newborn. Also everything is expensive so sorry if I prefer to buy formula for my child instead of paying the fee. read more

I'm pretty liberal with five star reviews, I'll admit it. But if I had to choose just one business to give five bright shiny stars to, it would be My Pure Delivery. I am so thankful for these wonderful ladies. They really turned things around for my son and I, who are still going strong at 1 year! If you're reading this review, chances are that you are struggling with breastfeeding. I struggled with breastfeeding with both my son and daughter. I saw Diba from "My Pure Delivery" in the hospital with my daughter and went on to nurse my baby for 15 months. Diba was gentle and didn't make me feel bad about supplementing my little girl for the first few weeks as so many LCs do. She even rigged up this fancy system where my baby had to "simulate" nursing to get formula through a tiny little tube before my milk came in. When it came time to nurse my second baby, I thought I'd be a pro! It was actually a much harder experience. So I tracked down Diba again. I also saw three other LCs at My Pure Delivery and they were all amazing. They even supplied toys for my 20 month old who I brought in with the new baby. My insurance ended up totally covering my visits. Not the case for everyone, but it's worth inquiring about. Also! They have a free support group. I believe it's every Wednesday and one Saturday a month. I can't recommend My Pure Delivery enough. Definitely call if you are on the struggle bus with breastfeeding. read more

I'm a new mom and breastfeeding has been the goal but it was such a struggle at first. I honestly didn't think it would be so difficult or painful! I signed up for their free 1 hr live course and could not believe what a wealth of information was provided! Jenna at My Pure Delivery was a Godsend! With my first daughter we had latch issues, a severe tongue and lip tie, we would up in the Childrens ER after she took a hunk out of my nipple, and I would up exclusively pumping incorrectly for months. Needless to say I had a lot of anxiety about nursing while expecting my second daughter. A good friend referred me to Jenna when we were having latch issues within the first few days and it was like night and day. Jenna was calming, patient, kind, knowledgeable, and tremendously helpful. We resolved the latch issues and I'm able to feed her without pain. She gave me tips about healing my already damaged nipples and pumping. I will likely go back for a pumping consultation as well. These women are angels. I was lucky enough to have Orieta. I'm a third time mama who pretty easily breastfed two babies, for two years a piece. Not this time. I've had every breastfeeding roadblock under the sun- latch issues (tongue tie AND tight jaw), mastitis, thrush, low supply due to breast surgery, and a lovely breast abscess. I received a wealth of information and support from MPD. I thought I knew it all when it came to breastfeeding- I'm a seasoned pro! There were so many things I didn't know, forgot and just mostly hadn't had to deal with before. I cannot begin to express how cared for I felt every single time I came into the "office"- and I was there basically once a week for the first 5 weeks of my son's life. Orieta (and Diba!) hugged me when I cried, encouraged me when I needed it, and made me feel like I wasn't a failure when I said I couldn't do it anymore. I'm tearing up just writing this! The women here have such empathetic hearts. I cannot tell you how important it is to have support like this during such a vulnerable and hormonal time. It's crucial. My son is 8 weeks old now, and we are still doing it! I have to supplement, and maybe always will (but we are still working hard to kick the formula!). We have overcome so much to be able to comfortably, painlessly, HAPPILY breastfeed 8+ times a day. When my son unlatches from the breast just to smile at me, I am so overwhelmingly glad I didn't give up. Bless this company! Seriously best thing I ever did was picked up the phone and made an in-house lactation consultant appointment. Infant, I wished I would of had one set up for the day I came home from the hospital. I could of saved myself so my pain from engorgement and other breastfeeding issues. I had my appointment about a week after being home--I highly recommend this place! AND my insurance covered multiple sessions, so it was a win-win for everyone! Betsy Pokluda was my lactation consultant, she is an angel! Seriously, she was so sweet and passionate about breastfeeding and providing you with whatever information you needed to reach your goals. She was patient, she was hilarious, she was extremely informed and experienced. She sent me so much information post appointment in an organized manner so I could refer back to everything we went over in our meeting. With her help, I was able to bring my baby back to breast feeding when I had given up hope. I also didn't realize I was low on milk supply, which caused several other issues (my baby was losing weight), and Betsy set me up with a plan that I'm in the middle of executing and it's WORKING. I also learned so many cool tips and tricks on how to relieve a gassy baby which mean a lot less late nights and continuous crying. Betsy is the bomb, I highly recommend her. In summary, you can't go wrong with these experts. There's nothing like getting information from the source. You tube has hundreds of 'breast feeding fixes' but what it doesn't have is a personalized plan to help you reach your goals. I tried youtube with no success, there's just something about having the location consultant there with you watching the feeding and helping you resolve issues and showing you how to execute it properly. They are very in depth and they set you up with a personalize plan that WORKS. Anyways a 5 star from me for sure. read more

I've got to add to the praises! My LO was born and we wanted to EBF. So I went full steam ahead! The LC at the hospital visited my room once, at midnight for 10 min. Said all was fine and we never saw them again. Fast forward to 4 days after my c-section and the pain started. Over the next few days I found myself in increasingly more pain. Something wasn't right and I found myself avoiding holding my baby because I was afraid I'd wake him up and he'd want to eat. Desperate for help, I went to a mom Facebook group, and the response was amazing. Not only did someone from My Pure Delivery offer to make an appointment for me, when they weren't even open, but so many of the women on there suggested I give them a call. I was disheartened that my insurance wouldn't pay for it out right, but I was desperate. So I went ahead and booked it. They made it super easy for me to make a claim with my insurance, telling me what to do every step of the way. But honestly... here is where they really shined. Orieta was my LC and she was AMAZING. We both arrived at the facility at the same time, and she offered to help carry stuff in for me. She listened intently about my medical history, what our specific issues were, etc. And she not only helped me with the problem that I came in for (pain) but identified other issues. You see.. while I personally associate EBF with the "crunchy, granola" vibe, I am personally not very "crunchy" or "granola". I'm actually the complete opposite. So when we found out that I was not producing enough for my LO and he hadn't gained any weight, I expected her response to be very different. Instead, she told me that I immediately needed to get some formula to supplement just to get us through. I know, I know. "But you're at a LC... they shouldn't tell you to have formula!" And you're right, most of the time they don't! But this wasn't a "hunker down and feed more often" situation. This was something that could have turned medically dangerous. And she referred me to what was RIGHT for my baby. She walked me through the most effective way to feed, pump and supplement. She spoke to me about methods on how to up my milk supply. She walked me through supplements and medications that may work for me, and the ones that weren't recommended based on my medical history. She was SO thorough and SO sweet. We had a plan to make sure he stays healthy. And THAT'S the most important thing. Yes... breast is great... but FED is best. And I really love, when I found out that I had basically been starving my baby for 9 days, that she let me cry. She didn't tell me it was "NBD" but still, somehow, she made me feel better about it. I not only recommend this company for their outstanding customer service, before I was even a customer... but I recommend Orieta as a down to earth lactation consultant who will do what is right for mama AND baby... and help you through the feels when reality doesn't meet expectation. Having the option to have one on one assistance in the comfort of my own home was a lifesaver. Diba has been nothing short of amazing when it comes to our lactation consults. Becca is my lifesaver. My baby was born at 35 weeks and he was 5lb3oz. Within 2 weeks, his weight dropped down dramatically. He rejected my nipple and I had no idea how to deal with that as I didn't want to feed him with bottle. We called my pure delivery and schedule an appointment. Becca knew right away how to fix this. My baby was losing weight the first week after birth and we had to give her formula. I was disheartened not because I have anything against formula feeding but because I was really looking forward to breastfeeding my baby. Christen helped us out by providing several tools and techniques to increase my supply while getting my baby's weight up with formula. We went from my baby taking nothing from me to being exclusively breastfed.It was like a miracle! Christen was very friendly and was amazing at coming up with feeding plans that helped me achieve my goal. She was always very diligent, following up with me in between appointments to make sure everything was going good. I couldn't have done this without her! During the second trimester of pregnancy my OB and hospital recommended baby classes and I immediately signed up given I will be a first time mom. The classes I signed up for were Newborn Care, Infant CPR and Safety and Breastfeeding Basics, although many others are offered. I registered for them all though My Pure Delivery and they were taught by the NICU Nurse and Lactation Consultant Diba Tillery. Each class is offered to the public and the class sizes are kept very small. You don't need to bring anything with you. Everything is provided: the hard copy powerpoint, note pages, pens, flyers, folders and even food and drinks! (However, I would recommend bringing a pen and paper for the free hour classes if you'd like to take notes). The classes are loaded with pertinent information and it's easy to ask questions at anytime. Diba is great at creating a laid back atmosphere that's unintimidating. The classes range in price but a form is given out that allows you to submit them to insurance for reimbursement. As someone who has been around babies my whole life and who has cared for them I was still able to get vital information out of each class I've taken. I highly recommend them even if you're just brushing up on information. My pure delivery also offers specialized lactation consultations (at home and on location) as well as a free support group that meets a few times a month. This location also has a wide range of products they sell and rent (skin balm, pumps, hospital necessities, nursing pillow, etc etc etc). Basically it's a one stop shop for mommy and me products, lactation help and everything baby! With the experienced and helpful staff you can't go wrong! read more

I cannot thank Orieta and My Pure Delivery enough for saving my breastfeeding journey. I've been giving bottles to my baby in his first two weeks of life because of a low supply. He soon developed strong preference of bottles over nursing and always screams whenever I try to breastfeed him. Every feeding became a struggle and I thought I would never be able to breastfeed him again. I called My Pure Delivery desperately and they were able to schedule an in person appointment for me with lactation consultant Orieta early morning the next day. She pin pointed my son has reflux and tongue tie, and guided me to breastfeed my baby successfully during that session, and I've been breastfeeding almost exclusively ever since. Over the next three weeks, I've come to her multiple times to deal with various challenges and she was always able to diagnose and provide solutions to help me navigate through them. She is always calm, effective, patient, encouraging, compassionate, with a wealth of breastfeedingm knowledge. I decided to use my pure delivery for my third baby for our breast-feeding issues. This was my first time utilizing a lactation consultant. I was having anxiety and struggles with breast-feeding this one, and they helped me really figure out a lot of questions and came up with a ton of solutions. I went from baby being primarily formula to almost entirely breastmilk fed. They helped with everything from different feeding strategies to making suggestions on a new pump, bottlefeeding help, and I was able to rent a hospital pump until I got a new one. They use my insurance so nothing out of pocket for me. I went into the office and it wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought it might be. Really feel like this was essential and both baby and me are happier for it. read more

I'm a first time mom and was struggling with soreness and latching issues while breastfeeding right away. 8 days after my baby's birth I signed up for a consultation and had an appointment the very next day. The appointment went very well and we immediately solved several things to improve how we are set-up, from proper posture, holding, latching, and managing soreness with the right products and routines. Since the first appointment was 2 hours, we even had enough time to make sure I'm properly fitted for my pump. Getting help early was the best decision because now we are back on track after only a few days. Their Covid protocols are the best I've seen in any setting, and on par with NICU "wash to your elbows when you enter" level of clean. That definitely made me feel even more comfortable when choosing my in-person appointments. I was referred to My Pure Delivery by my son's pediatrician and I'm so glad I followed up on his suggestion and got an appointment. Christen was wonderful and helped me feel more confident about nursing and also gave me some great pointers that have helped me so much. She scheduled me for a Back to Work visit, as well, and helped me design a game plan for pumping when I got back to work. She made sure I was using my pumps effectively and helped me gauge how much my son is eating in a feeding. Really happy with the lactation service, and recommend it to EVERYONE regardless of whether you're having feeding latching issues or not. Setup an appointment ASAP upon being released from the hospital. We had previously taken the baby bootcamp and breast feeding classes at St. David's, but those are in a large group setting and the information was too broad and general to be helpful when we had specific issues and problems arise. She really helped diagnose issues and gave excellent 1:1 coaching, all at convenient times regardless of weekend or weekday. There's too much to put into a yelp review, especially with Medical info, but I can't imagine a scenario where you wouldn't come here for your first kid at the bare minimum. read more

Becca was incredible! I first met her at the hospital and thought I learned a million things on how to feed my baby. Turns out it was just a fraction of things to know about nursing. I had 4 at-home consultations and I each visit was filled with a tremendous amount of useful information about latching, pumping, positioning, and nipple care. My LO didn't gain back his birth weight by 2 weeks old so I scheduled an appointment with them (they do work with some insurances, btw) and we figured out just how much he was taking in at a feeding, made a feeding plan, and at his next appointment he'd gain more weight than his pediatrician expected. After struggling with breast feeding and as a FTM, I made an appointment with Diba and it was the best decision I could have made. She takes the time to go over everything with you from latch, feeding, pumping to bottles. It not only significantly helped my breastfeeding, but made me feel less frustrated and overwhelmed those first few, hard weeks as a new parent. She follows up with you to see how things are going and provides excellent resources to tackle any and all challenges. Lastly, she also taught me how to correctly use my Boba wrap to baby wear and have both hands free!
