I can't say enough great things about Lifesaver Team! My nurse friend and I had to renew our CPR…read morecard in BLS for work last Saturday morning. First getting there is so easy! It is located in a large plaza on the second floor so you won't have a hard time finding parking. Cris will greet you, have you sign in, and the best thing is that he makes sure we have our full attention by providing water and breakfast bars which was great since I totally forgot to bring banana and water. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to concentrate. I'm glad Cris is attentive and anticipates his customers' needs. The classroom itself was clean, organized, had wall to wall CPR information, and countless mannequins (infant and adult sizes) against the walls and at each table. The BLS for health workers certification was 2 hours long but don't expect a boring class where you just watch a video for the most part then practice at the end. Oh no! Cris had us watch each 5-10 minute videos of CPR steps and scenarios for infant, child, and adult (and no the videos aren't corny!). After each video, he had us do FULL CYCLES of CPR with AED and abdominal thrusts (for choking victim). I definitely got a workout being in that class and I feel more confident! We were charged $35 for recertification-what a great price! Other places charge $45-55. The test was easy and straightforward. Overall it was a very informative and hands -on class. You can also come in anytime to practice after being certified. Cris is courteous, professional, funny, and attentive. Getting certified here is worth it!

His instructions and teaching method were very clear and concise. To be honest, I learned more than I did compared to my previous BLS classes and for a much more affordable price. I'm definitely renewing my BLS certificate here from now on. Thank you Lifesaver team!

I really didn't want to go get my recertification because I knew how dull and boring this class…read morewould be, I've taken many in the past. Since my boss paid for it, I couldn't get out of going and I do need the certificate for my job, so I went. I'm so glad I did! Victoria Burke made it encouraging, upbeat and interesting. She gave us little memory hooks to help us remember what to do in an emergency and taught us WHY we were to do things in a certain order. I've been a CNA/HHC provider for the past decade and still learned useful information in a fun way. Next time, I hope she's still around because I will look her up to take her class again.

I wanted to receive both my CPR and first aid there but was told I could only do the CPR that day…read more I did it and left after the test. The gal who was teaching the class started hitting the AED to activate it, and it was yelling out orders wile I was taking the test 10 feet away. She seemed to have no respect for me taking the test and I had to yell out for her to knock it off. She apologized and stopped it. But it was not professional and I have not experienced anything like this before. I put my correct e-mail address for her so I hope I get my card soon or will have to take action like others on this platform. The gals at the front desk didn't look too busy either from what I could see.

I completed the IV Therapy & Blood Withdrawal Certification course at Los Angeles Career College,…read moreand I have to say--this place runs smoother than most hospital floors I've worked on. The staff was organized, check-in was easy, and the hybrid format made the whole process painless (unlike some IV attempts I've witnessed in real life). What really impressed me was how efficient everything was. Once I passed my exam, they handed me my certificate the same day--no waiting, no chasing emails, no mysterious "processing time." Just boom. Certified. I wish everything in healthcare worked that fast. Now for the real highlight: Instructor Steele Erickson. Steele is the kind of nursing instructor you secretly hope for but never expect to get. He breaks down IV therapy and blood withdrawal with such clarity and patience that even tricky techniques suddenly feel manageable. He teaches with a calm, supportive energy that makes everyone relax. He's incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely invested in every student, and somehow keeps the class both educational and entertaining. As someone with 25+ years in healthcare, I can confidently say instructors like Steele do not grow on trees. If you're considering getting your IV Certification, go to Los Angeles Career College and hope you get Steele Erickson as your instructor. You'll walk away confident, competent, and wondering why every nursing class can't be this smooth. Highly recommended!

Life got in the way a couple of times during this portion of the class and I was able to talk to Mika and figure out a plan so that I wouldn't have to miss class. I also loved listening to her real life stories of working in nursing. The course I took was 5 weeks, 8 hours a day. The first two weeks were online. There is a lot of reading, a lot of quizzes, and several tests, but you get the hang of it quickly. The second week was practical where you learned the skills. I got pretty frustrated when I didn't get the skill right the first time, but the fact is that there are a lot of steps to the skills and these are brand new things that I'm learning. It all falls into place when you go into the clinical. You get to apply what you learned in class and in your practical learning. I especially loved my clinical rotations at the hospital. It gave me such a bigger perspective on the healthcare industry and patient care. I learned so much and discovered that I really liked working in ER. I look forward to applying everything I learned in my future career.
