Terrible I've had many facials so know what to expect and understand everyone has there own technique. It was a terrible experience not a welcoming atmosphere once I went into the room the eye pads they used were too large and she had to keep ajust everytime she massage my face which she did for about 5min .The way she preformed her massage was so unprofessional I could have and would have done a better job,if you want your face just pasted with cream with a few daps of finger tips this is the place dont waste your time or money ,pay a little extra and get a professional touch. read more

I followed my hairstylist to Temecula salon & day spa. I could not find anyone who knew how to cut and style my hair until i met Stephanie. Stephanie knows what she is doing. Whatever style I want, Stephanie customizes the cut to compliment my face. I work long hours so it was always difficult finding a hair stylist that was available when I was free. I appreciate that Stephanie makes time for me that is convenient for my schedule. The price is comparable to other salons in the area. I used to feel intimidated when going to a salon, but the atmosphere here is great. Stephanie is so nice and the other people who work there are friendly and welcoming. Last month I went in for a cut and some natural looking highlights. I ended up with unnatural stripy highlights like a bad version of early 2000s Kelly Clarkson. Maybe it was my mistake not knowing exactly what I wanted. I can't imagine anybody wanting this though. Also, the salon could've been a bit cleaner, and I could do without the gossiping (I don't need to know my elderly neighbor wears a wig but still regularly comes in to have what's left of her hair done). I get my hair done by Ellen V. and she is great. She works with my challenging schedule and even comes in on days off if needed. She does an awesome job and is very friendly and personable. My mom even drives over from Orange County to get her hair done by Ellen! One note of caution if you are looking for a new stylist - I had an appointment scheduled right before a big trip and unfortunately Ellen had a family emergency out of town so another stylist named Angela L.did my hair - HUGE MISTAKE!!! She took forever to do my weave, added bleach after I specifically told her not to and ignored my wishes even as I was visibly upset. Ellen had left specific instructions on my color and how to do my hair which Angela completely ignored. I will never use her again! ******review update****** After leaving my initial review I was contacted by a couple people from the salon and Penney agreed to do our hair at a slightly higher rate than the original girl was going to do it for. She did a great job and all the girls looked fantastic in our rockabilly victory rolls. I was very impressed with her hair ability. The partner she brought to do makeup completely discarded the fact that I told her I didn't do bright red lipstick as it always looks orange on me (months before the wedding we discussed needing a darker color for me while having the girls wear the brighter red) however and only brought bright red, which I hated and she had very little ability to correct it. I don't believe Kelly worked at the salon though, I am pretty sure she may have just been a friend of Penney's. This review is for my hair stylist, Lori Nolan, who occupies one of the spaces at TS&DS. I have been going to Lori since she was at another salon, and I have followed her here. To say I'm a picky client is an understatement. I care about current trends and product innovations, and I'm aware of what I feel looks best on me. I've been to very skilled hair stylists in the past, and I read up on what's happening in the industry. I like good hair and I'm an aging "fashionista." I want a good balance between a stylist who gives me the benefit of his/her knowledge and artistry, while respecting my comfort zones. I'd been trying to find a decent stylist since I moved back to this valley in 2010, and was having a rough time. Prices in the valley have skyrocketed, while the quality of knowledge and technique has not matched that hike. I encountered a few stylists who charged a lot for very novice work and had some less than happy results. Lori was the first stylist who I could tell understands product application and properties, what is practical in the real world (fashionable but not overwrought), and with strong styling skills (you leave there feeling like you want to go out so someone can see your new cut/color). Lori knows how to cut hair, she is one of those people who moves your hair around and you can tell she has the experience and knowledge to give you sound advice. She uses fantastic products, and her color is probably the best I've ever had. I have come to the point where I just sit in her chair and let her lead the process. I used to always have a reaction to the chemicals in standard color (feeling some sting and getting blotchy in areas), her product does none of this and is not even noticeable--it actually smells good! She gives recommendations, takes notes so that she remembers what she has done in the past, and let's me know what is going on with my hair. She respects my wish to not always follow trend, but stick with what is flattering. Her cuts are modern but also easy to live with. Lori has become a friend, too, but I don't take hair recommendations lightly: I think she's one of the top stylists in this valley, and I give her a hearty recommendation without any reservations. Kaitlyn is the reason for the 5 stars. I have thick red very curly hair. So hard to match covering my gray, and no one I've been to in 25 years really has known how to properly cut curly hair. It's quite different from cutting straight hair. There is a book called "Curly Girl" that turned me on to this and you can even pull up a video on You Tube. Well she got my hair color like I was a kid (Exactly Right) and best hair cut I've had in 25 years. She has curly hair but straightens it, and her mother has curly hair like mine so she knew exactly the right way to cut it. Had a great visit with Kenny last week. I get very nervous trying out new hair stylists. Kenny was very patient and took his time talking to me in normal language to find out what I really want. I don't really know hair language so it was comforting that he was very willing to explain everything to me. He also considered my physical features when helping me decide what work needed to be done. He was not at all pushy about adding extra service, promoting products, or scheduling the next appointment. Kristy did a great job on my hair, but she's very clumsy, got dye all over. I asked her some questions about my service and she really offended me. Saying "you're not a hairstylist, so you wouldn't know" I will NEVER return to this place, because of her comments and also because this place is filthy! Cob webs, dirty floors, dirty mirrors. She is friendly and personable and really does a wonderful job. On occasion when I've had to cancel or change an appointment at the last minute she has been very accommodating and worked with me. My hair stylist is Diane Hood....best ever! Gone to her since I was little (over 20yrs now) an I will not go to anyone else. Have resided in NC and Washington DC....guess what, made a vacation out of it to visit my family when I needed my hair done. She is very trustworthy and knows what she is doing. Does my hair for the Military Ball and just recently did my hair for my wedding July 2013 and she did an AMAZING job. Obviously I couldn't fly to her for the military ball out of state however, you cannot compare the jobs done. Diane is very professional, has a great attitude, is honest, finishes your hair so you can see the final product before walking out and if you aren't satisfied, she does what she can, listens to you and what you want, gives suggestions, and it is ALWAYS a positive outcome. Highly recommend and very affordable! For make-up, I highly recommend her daughter Chelsea Simcox. She has her mother's awesome personality and does an OUTSTANDING job as well. I had her do my make-up for my wedding July 2013 and the military ball Nov 2013 and I absolutely loved it. Chelsea listens to what you want, talks to you as she works on you to let you know what she is doing, and the best thing about her is that she does trial runs BEFORE the special day and keeps note of it. I wish I could post pictures on here to show her beautiful work!!!! You don't have to have a special day, if you want to just have your make-up done just because, give her a call and schedule an appointment, I promise your time will not be wasted. If you don't like it, just be honest with her and she will fix it! Her pricing is affordable as well. Both Diane and Chelsea are outstanding artists and very professional with their work.
