Per my usual methodologies of…read moremeasuring boxes I visited the website to research the coaches, programming, and testimonies. After satisfying my initial screenings I reached out via email/online form to drop in for classes. I received a response within 2 hours which is far faster than responses I typically receive. The communication was concise, contained all of the information I needed and my options, and professionally written by the owner. First impressions mean a lot, and OPCF shines in this area. The whole place is clean, very well organized, and oozes with pride and personal touches put in by the owners and employees. I was also greeted by a huge smile from Dulcinea who promptly sent me on a 400m run (I was a little bit late from not knowing the area too well). Upon my return the whole process of warming up and explanation of the day was expertly done before we broke out to warm up and get into the strength portion of the day. The classes I attended in the morning were small, but the community has large personality. Everyone was super friendly and embraced me as a newcomer as if I had been a member there for years. One of the ways I determine the culture of a box is through the actions of the members. This is an establishment that obviously places emphasis on being supportive and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door, regardless of their ability level or goals. They offer at least 4 different programs (each offered through labeled classes on their schedule) that range from endurance to self-defense (and obviously CrossFit). All of this doesn't really matter if the coaches themselves are not knowledgeable or able to teach and coach members in a meaningful way. Within minutes I was getting great observations and movement tips from Dulcinea that helped me in a meaningful way and allowed me to hit a PR in my overhead squat of 220# (it was a 1RM day by chance!). She also took the time to observe and give me some pointers on the movements that were scheduled within the WOD and it can be refreshing to get some fresh pointers and PoV after being in the CrossFit community for over 6 years. Whether you are seeking a local place to enhance your overall fitness, increase your CrossFit abilities, find a supportive environment to reach your goals, or drop in to a CrossFit class while you are traveling OPCF is a choice you won't be disappointed in. With family in town I have found a location I can rely on whenever I'm visiting without any worry of schedule, flexibility of programming, or getting a great workout with a great group of people.

Location, location, location -- it's one of the most charming plazas in the city, so showing up for a workout here just feels good. They're also on ClassPass, which makes it easy for travelers or locals bouncing around different studios. What really stands out though is that it's more than just a workout spot -- they host community events, run clubs, and social gatherings, so the vibe is always lively and connected. My first class was with Cameron and Micaleigh and they are easily some of the most attentive, enthusiastic, and encouraging coaches I've met. Gracyn, Marley, Cameron and Micaleigh are all patient, educated and invested not only in your progress but in your safety. As someone with previous injuries, I was hesitant to try group classes. If you share this concern, at F45 you can rest assured that every class has coaches ready and able to modify any movement/workout to ensure it is tailored to your needs/past injuries. Bottom line, whether you're looking to start your fitness journey or just join a new gym I strongly encourage you to sign up for their 7-day trial and find these coaches on the schedule!

I have been regularly attending Psychosomatic transformation Center at one location or another…read moresince 2014. Eight years ago I moved to the Grant Rd location, and I n that time the space has changed quite a bit. Initially, it was high intensity interval training classes, which were about 20 people per class, and a separate private training area. Then the COVID-19 pandemic , and the private training space went away. The gyms' focus has shifted to more individual focus training in smaller weight classes. They rebranded the HIIT classes into a cardio /weight based class that's available now. From the time I originally moved to the gym the space was primarily an open area for HIIT group classes, but now it's carved out more so for individual training and just a quarter of the space being used for this cardio weight class. I go to a weights class to strengthen muscle groups three times a week and the other days Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday is this cardio weight combo class. Wednesdays has become a balance focused day, which provides something new to increase flexibility in addition to strength. I myself am not very flexible, so I can't do flexibility and weights quite yet. Much of the communication is on Facebook page groups. So for a new person wanting to check out the gym it's a little tricky. Hours aren't posted in a public space, plus the construction on Grant Road right now makes it tricky to get in and out of the parking lot. There's no signage on the door. It seems many of the newer students came through word-of-mouth of existing clients. Psychosomatic Transformation Center also offers protein powders, and supplements to enhance your fitness journey. In the weeks to come, they're going to be offering peptides as they're working with a physician to prescribe those. Basically the gym is evolving to meet our needs. Private training is available. Also, one of the private trainer works with high school students in strength, training and agility for track and field. I'm part of a fitness family and have a good time.

They sell it as this is a last resort for you to lose weight. You can easily join any gym who has strength training classes and get the same results. I did it before I moved here last year and I lost 42 lb and was on a low carb. This gym just babysits you basically to get results and and hold your feet to the fire or if not, if you can't commit to their timely challenge, then you'll lose your $500. It only be worth it if you can really do it, meaning that you have no other obligations that will interfere with going there 5 times a week. So if you need childcare forget it. Don't do it because they don't have it. Honestly this is an overpriced gym. This gym doesn't have to buy workout machines so there's no maintenance on that equipment or the manpower and extra supplies to wipe down all that machinery so I don't know why there Elite memberships are so damn expensive. It's ridiculous. On top of that during their membership drives they blocked a lot of people from commenting about the way they do things, to include the fact about the up front $497. What kind of company blocks other people from reviewing their company. If you're really THAT good, then you would STAND by your name and fight for your gym. You don't so I'm posting my review from my experience everywhere.

I didn't necessarily mind paying for the classes because in comparison to CrossFit etc it is reasonably priced but that should have been disclosed prior to signing up for a "free" challenge.
