    This is a personal disupute and this owner has gone about going to a non related business I own to…read moremake reviews as a non customer. Defaming and/or slandering myself and my business reputation, which is irreleveant to this situation and a clear attempt to retaliate against me and my livelihood. This speaks volumes to his reputation and character. I never leave negative reviews for AirBnb, but this experience warrants a warning. The unit had no hot water, no functional fan controls, no AC, and no windows that opened -- making the stay extremely uncomfortable. I reached out before ever considering leaving a review. This host has indicated that I used a negative review as a manipulation tactic which is possible defamation or slanderous statements. All the receipts are there to show I tried to work it out first, then was met with the following uncalled for actions. Because of a flaw with Airbnb and their new resolution center, when the host declined my resolution I was asked by Airbnb to enter a new resolution. So I did this. The host then used this against me and said it was coercion. This is again defamation and/or slanderous statements. I even informed the host Airbnb asked me to do this, because they needed a case open in the system to help me. The host publicly claimed I 'checked in early without permission.' This is false -- I have written confirmation from his team explicitly inviting me to 'check in anytime' because the unit was ready. See attached photo. When I reported the issues, instead of addressing them professionally, the host became combative, insulting, and tried to shift blame. He drove from across the state unannounced, acted as though the problems were my fault, and when I pointed this out as his job he became very combative. He then accused me of being discriminatory when I pointed out that he should take responsibility rather than passing it to staff. This was completely inaccurate and defamation at minimum. Perhaps a lawsuit should be considered? I've stayed in Airbnbs worldwide without incident. This was the most unprofessional and disrespectful interaction I've experienced. Potential guests should be aware: with Vivid Vacation Rentals, you risk being insulted, blamed, and dismissed rather than helped

Cassy his maintenance guy was so helpful on figuring the entertainment system and was super polite and professional. If you are looking to book your Telluride experience through Vivid you can't go wrong.

    0 Stars!! I booked an AvantStay-managed VRBO property in…read moreTelluride specifically because it was advertised as ski‑in, ski‑out. That feature wasn't just a perk -- it was the entire reason we chose this property and paid nearly $9,000 for the stay. With the sudden full mountain closure, the property is no longer ski‑in/ski‑out, no longer a ski property in any functional sense, and no longer matches the experience that was advertised at the time of booking. Despite this, AvantStay has refused to offer any flexibility, refund, modification, or solution. Their response was essentially: "We understand, but you're outside the cancellation window." This wasn't a change of plans on our end. This was a complete loss of the core amenity we paid for -- something totally outside our control and directly tied to how the property was marketed. Every other business in Telluride (hotels, ski school, lift tickets, rentals, etc.) is honoring refunds for impacted guests, yet AvantStay is choosing to hide behind rigid policy instead of doing right by customers. It's extremely disappointing to see a management company prioritize policy over basic fairness. At a minimum, I expected a willingness to work toward a reasonable solution -- not a flat "no." If you are booking with AvantStay, be aware: If the primary feature of your rental disappears, even entirely, they will not work with you. I would strongly caution anyone considering an AvantStay property, especially in ski destinations where the main amenity is seasonal or operational. The lack of support and customer care in a situation like this is unacceptable.

    Booked an AvantStay-managed VRBO property in Telluride over the holidays. Was exactly as described…read moreand made for a wonderful vacation for our family. Well-maintained property and accommodations with excellent location in the town of Telluride. Was also pleased to have an agent that was available via phone throughout our stay to assist with any questions we had, including those pertinent to parking in town. Property was priced a little on the high side but overall reasonable value.
