Took it into Memory Express Calgary NW about 1 month ago. Was told it would take two weeks or more to get it back to me. I received a call from the technician working on my machine within one week. He related the problem to me over the phone and that he was in the process of repairing the damages. That was a Friday, by Monday I picked up my computer and brought it home. Total time I was without my computer was just over 1 week. I have been using it for approximately 3 weeks with out a problem. It boots up faster than before and there have been no more ugly blue screens of death. My cost was below what I was expecting to pay. I can't say enough good things about my interface with Memory Express regarding the repair of my computer.

I was accosted with a direct accusation of theft, with no questions and absolutely no effort made to understand the truth. The emails I've sent regarding this incident were met with a generic, probably pre-written, email with an utterly meaningless apology. I only wanted to buy a power block for my cell phone and go on my way. I got my power block but I also got an experience that will stay with me for a long time. As one who has never shoplifted and never would consider doing that, the way the store associate spoke to me caused stress that is still burning a hole in my gut. The situation could have been dealt with in a much more tactful way. There are better ways to deal with suspected shoplifters; I've read about this and the way I was spoken to that day was totally unacceptable.

No I would not like to buy an extended warranty. I would just like to purchase this wickedly overpriced generic brand iPhone cable and be on my way. It was until I found out that the dollar store in the same mall carries a lot of the electronic accessories, cables, chargers etc. that I would go to The Source. Granted, the accessories they carry are a higher quality than a dollar store, they're still really high priced for what they are. I'm not even one to only want the cheapest item out there, either. I am often very willing to pay more for a superior product. What I don't dig is the high pressure sales people, trying to get me to buy things that I don't want or need, many of whose questions I outlined at the beginning of this review. While this cliche used car salesman tactic might bump your sales in the short term, it makes me feel really uncomfortable and I don't want to return.

Now, I'm not sure if the man was deaf, but even so, he should have understood the body language in that I walked directly up to him with an item in my hand and started talking. The worst part is that I believe the fat man was actually the manager. If he didn't have time to talk to me (I imagine whatever he was typing into the computer must have been ridiculously important) he should have said "I'll be right with you" or sent someone else to help me. But the fat man didn't even have the basic human decency to acknowledge my presence. I will never go back there again, I'd rather drive someplace else.

However on an another occasion I went here for technical assistance as my iPhone had frozen while doing an update and I was scared all my data would be lost. However a lady there who was very professional and friendly helped me and was able to get my phone running and saved all my data. Based on that experience I would have given 5 stars. My dad purchased a TV that was advertised at a discounted price on their website. When he visited…read morethe store, the owner confirmed they had it in stock, so he paid upfront and was told he would get a call once it arrived for pickup. A week later, the same employee who sold it to him said the shipment was delayed and gave him a new date for the next delivery. He was never called about that delay, and he was never called when the shipment supposedly arrived either. After about two weeks with no word, he went to the store himself, and that same employee told him they now had zero stock of the TV he had already paid for. He called another location of the same store, and someone there said they had a couple of TVs in stock and asked him to wait fifteen minutes while they arranged pickup. Over half an hour passed with no call back, so he drove over, only to be told in person that they did not actually have it either. Between the lack of communication, the contradicting information from two locations, and paying upfront for a product that was never actually available, I cannot recommend shopping here. This was, without question, the worst customer experience I've had with a retailer.
