I booked a loc maintenance appointment for 2:00 PM on a Friday. Around 12:23 PM, my stylist texted…read moresaying she was very behind and asked if I could come at 4:00 PM instead. I agreed. I had taken the day off and drove from Barstow to Victorville specifically for this appointment. When I arrived for the new 4:00 PM time, she was still working on the previous client. At 4:21 PM, I was told she would call/text me when I could come inside, so I waited in my car. By 5:07 PM, I still hadn't been called in. At that point, it had been over an hour since the rescheduled time and more than three hours since my original appointment. I texted that I couldn't wait any longer and requested my $54 deposit back. She called me at 5:08 PM saying she had just finished and I could either come inside or receive a refund. I chose the refund because I had already waited long enough. To her credit, she was understanding and canceled the appointment through StyleSeat. I understand appointments can run behind, but this was excessive. I had already accommodated a two-hour delay, drove from Barstow, and then waited another hour after the rescheduled time. For a $180 service, I expected better scheduling and communication. I can't speak on the quality of her work because I never received the service. This review is strictly about the scheduling and overall experience. I appreciate that I was given the option of a refund, but losing several hours of my day after making the drive was very disappointing.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this salon. I came in March excited to get a…read morehaircut and a dark brown hair color from the owner herself, although I thought it was pricey I wanted to support her business. Unfortunately, I left with no haircut because I ran out of time and planned to return the next day--and my hair ended up jet black instead of the dark brown I requested. To make matters worse, the dye stained my forehead for two days, and no real effort was made to clean it. Despite the poor service, the owner insisted on being paid in full, so I did. Afterward, she repeatedly rescheduled my follow-up appointment. On top of that, I was overcharged without any explanation. I expected professionalism and clear communication, but that was not the case. Later, I returned to get a quote from another stylist just to compare prices. She quoted me $100 less than what the owner had charged. When the owner found out, she told me never to come back. This level of dishonesty and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I do not recommend this salon and will never be returning. Save your money and go elsewhere. Almost a year has gone by, and it still makes me very upset this girl charged me $300 for black hair.

Dana is your girl…read more.... If you're looking for an amazing and trustworthy hairdresser in the Victorville/High Desert area, I highly recommend Dana at Oasis Salon. Dana is incredibly talented across the board, but what really stood out to me is how she listened and delivered exactly what I asked for. That can be hard to find, and she absolutely nailed it. She is especially amazing at color correction. If you've ever had a bad color job or need your hair fixed, she truly knows what she's doing and takes the time to get it right while still keeping your hair healthy. Another thing I really appreciate is her honesty--she'll guide you in the right direction and make sure the end result actually works for you. Her pricing is very reasonable for the quality of work she provides, and she works efficiently without ever making you feel rushed. She may have been away from the area for a while, but she never lost her skill or passion for doing hair--and I'm so glad she's back. If you're in Victorville, Apple Valley, or Hesperia and need a reliable, experienced hairdresser for color, corrections, cuts, or anything hair-related, Dana is definitely the one to go to. Highly recommend!
