I was so happy with Nazik at Oasis but twice now she hasn't shown up for my appointment. The first time was a Saturday morning. She apologized and said she had messed up her whole appointment book. I talked to her on the phone and reschedule for today at 4 pm. I waited to 4:15 and tried to contact her and no response. Another gal in the shop said she left for the day. My hair needed a trim. I called Oasis in the morning to see who was available for 2pm. I was scheduled with Nazik. I should have inquired about her familiarity with cutting wavy hair. That's my fault. I was only seeking a 2-inch layered trim. I came to the salon, having already washed my hair. I told Nazik I was going to the gym afterward, so there was no need to style. She still straightened my hair with a blowdryer, but she was using scissors as she straightened. I assumed part of her cutting process. Or maybe it was to add the cost of my visit, which was $50.... I didn't even get a hair wash nor was there product used during the blow dry. My hair was sticking to the ceiling of my car because it had all this static, and then when examining my hair in the mirror, I noticed one side of my hair is shorter than the other. I'm disappointed and also feeling jipped. I didn't want it styled, but if you're going to go through the process, i would expect to look 'outing-ready'. As it is, i don't feel confident like i did with my last cut. I'll have to wait until it grows back out so that I can find someone to even out the style for a reasonable price (I would say $40 for a cut would make more sense). Whelp, at least the dry ends are gone. read more

This review is long overdue. I was so upset at the time of all this I couldn't bring myself to write one. Now I've had time to get over this experience. The Oasis salon is beautiful, and definitely worth making an appointment here. I was very excited to get my hair done at such a nice salon. My experience with the hairstylist, Michelle, was terrible though. I was wanting my hair done for my birthday and I never do anything special for myself since I'm a full time working mom of 2. So the day of my appointment I was running late by 5 minutes. She was then 5 more minutes late while I was already waiting for her at the salon. When she finally met me, she told me we would only be doing a consultation since I had thought that I wanted a perm, but I really wanted and needed my hair cut. Since I kinda wanted perm, I agreed to just a consultation. During the consultation, she told me I was a candidate for a perm and we scheduled another appointment so I could have it done. And then the day before my appointment she messages me asking me if she can reschedule. Mind you my birthday is around the corner and I wouldn't be able to wash my hair for my birthday. After some back and forth about each of our schedules, we came to a day and time that worked. THEN! Day of my appointment she texts me and says she is going to have someone else do my perm! This whole situation is unprofessional. Michelle lost a customer. I was lucky enough to find another hairstylist to cut and style my hair the day of my birthday. I will be back to the salon thanks to Doreen but I won't be seeing Michelle. read more

Updating my review after my second visit with Kacee. The last time I came around 7 months ago I had her dye my hair black. 3 months ago I decided I wanted to lighten my hair and went to a local stylist to start the process. After another 3 months I decided to come back to Kacee to give my hair the love it deserves. Having realistic expectations is extremely important when lightening your hair/balayage but Kacee truly does her best with what she's given and is super informative with the whole process. I'm extremely happy with my results, Kacee was even able to achieve some ashiness with my hair considering how warm my tones were. Been tying for over a year to get a quote! I had been coming to this location since I was 13 idk why it's so hard to get a quote. I wrote a message and get told call the shop I call the shop and they NEVER answer! Last message I got was them telling me they would send my number to one of their employees and guess what? Still no call back no text no nothing! Why can't a quote be given through messages? Be easier than over the phone. Or at the least answer your phone. It's literally been a year y'all first time o called I was sitting in my sons school parking lot and guess what now he's in a whole different school and a grade older *-* I used to love this place but if anyone reading this can y'all send me a message with recommendations on where to get curtain bangs with layers on thick long hair thank you in advance!!
