At 4:21 PM, I was told she would call/text me when I could come inside, so I waited in my car. By 5:07 PM, I still hadn't been called in. At that point, it had been over an hour since the rescheduled time and more than three hours since my original appointment. I texted that I couldn't wait any longer and requested my $54 deposit back. She called me at 5:08 PM saying she had just finished and I could either come inside or receive a refund. I chose the refund because I had already waited long enough. To her credit, she was understanding and canceled the appointment through StyleSeat. I understand appointments can run behind, but this was excessive. I had already accommodated a two-hour delay, drove from Barstow, and then waited another hour after the rescheduled time. For a $180 service, I expected better scheduling and communication. I can't speak on the quality of her work because I never received the service. This review is strictly about the scheduling and overall experience. I appreciate that I was given the option of a refund, but losing several hours of my day after making the drive was very disappointing.

The appointment was booked by Amy Gray for a haircut & wash with Valerie Cutro (no blowout/no styling) for October 7, 2026, at 1 PM. When I arrived at 12:56 PM, I wasn't greeted with a hello but instead was bluntly asked, "Do you have an appointment?" I confirmed that I had an appointment with Valerie Cutro, & moving forward everything went downhill from there. Valerie was okay at conversation but not at listening to my requests for the haircut I wanted. It seemed as though she already had her own "haircut" in mind. When I explained to her that my phone didn't have signal inside the salon & that I was having a hard time loading the video I had as a reference for the haircut, she didn't seem concerned & appeared to want to rush the experience entirely. After the video I wanted to show her wouldn't load, I remembered that I had screen-recorded it in case this issue came up. I showed her the video, & she still seemed to be in a rush nonetheless. When I saw my hair in the salon, I definitely noticed just how much she had cut off, but I still paid & walked out with my head held high, not realizing just how horrible the quality of the cut actually was. If I had noticed at the time I wouldn't have paid; that is definite. Keep in mind, the website they have linked for booking appointments lists a haircut & blow-dry with Valerie at $75. I only received a haircut & was still charged the full $75. Regardless, my hair looks nothing like the video I showed her or what I had communicated that I wanted. When I got home, my family & friends all told me that I shouldn't have paid the hairdresser. The cut is uneven, choppy, sloppy, & simply not what I asked for. My dad even asked if my hairdresser was drunk. My mom was extremely upset, & my friends suggested that they should have a word with Valerie, but instead, I'll leave this review. I've been to this salon in the past & had a wonderful experience with Vianey Lara over a year ago. I would have booked with her again, but she wasn't available on the website this month, so I decided to take a chance on a new hairstylist. That was my mistake. Peroxide Hair Salon can partially fix this issue by issuing a refund & speaking with their hair stylist.

I used to have to spend over an hour blow-drying and straightening my hair, and even longer if I wanted to curl it on top of that. Now, it's sleek and beautifully silky to the touch. Sunnie added a keratin treatment to ensure that my hair would retain some volume and keep it healthy after the straightening treatment. From the moment I sat down in the chair, she inspected my hair and told me that the process would consist of applying the solution to my hair, letting it process, washing it, drying and flat ironing it, then applying the neutralizing solution that would allow it to stay straight, using the keratin treatment, and using a special iron that would almost "steam out" the keratin solution and make it bond to the hair, and then we'd be done. She was an absolute delight and made sure that I was well taken care of the entire time. She even brought me water without even me having to ask! She was also very detailed and even made sure to check individual strands of hair during the entire process to make sure that there was nothing overlooked. My hair looks amazing. I am so incredibly grateful for her work. Thank you so much, Sunnie!

While I was grateful to have gotten attended the same day I called, it really did feel like I was fast money instead of a client. I have experience going to salons and I've never been treated like I did here. To begin she was very rough brushing my hair out with a comb instead of a brush and she went straight down running into knots and ripped some of my hair out instead of starting from the ends to the top to avoid any breakage. She gave me a trim that I agreed to and immediately I noticed she had cut my face framing pieces uneven. She also did a refresh on my already bleached hair with a fantasy color so when it came down to washing that out she basically wet all of the right side of my face taking my makeup off. She got water in my left ear as well just plopping her wet hands all over the sides of my face. Then she installed the tinsels from a kit that I had brought myself. Her demeanor was pleasant enough but I can't imagine trusting her with intricate work such as extensions that she claims she also services. When it came down to charging me she kept tapping on the register buttons and I grew concerned and hits me with a total of approximately $305. I really was confused I mean this is the high desert and they are charging hourly here. I'm a hardworking individual myself I get the hustle but the pricing breakdown truly did not translate to what I received, when I travel to San Bernardino and LA to upscale salons I have no issue paying that much because I receive much better care! And complementary drinks for that matter.. When I called the salon back the next day to try and resolve this issue I spoke with Joe I believe is his name possibly the manager? He told me I had to speak with the stylist directly and that was what I was trying to avoid I really did not like that he put me in that awkward position when I tried speaking to someone supposedly higher up about a service I feel like wasn't pleasant and a charge that was pretty high to just shell out for said experience. I wasn't a happy client and they didn't care. I booked an appointment to remove the tinsel the upcoming week since I went away for the weekend but I just decided to go to a salon near the hotel I was staying at in LA to remove the beads the next day because of how tight she had clamped some of them it felt sore. All to say I'll never go back and I wouldn't recommend this salon to any of my friends or family..

She was very easy to consult with about coloring in the future and I have all the trust that she can make some really beautiful but subtle differences in my overall color. The salon itself was in the nice lake area, and the closest entrance I saw was up a flight of stairs. Decent parking and an aesthetic salon with very comfortable sinks to sit at. Cannot emphasize their comfort enough. Not to diminish the timeliness of the staff- as I was being squeezed in, but I'd definitely recommend making ample time for your appointment as it would be less stressful for yourself and the staff. Hi. I am leaving a 5 star rating. I usually do my own hair, because of prior bad experiences at salons in the high desert & my hair not looking any thing close to what I have asked for. I decided to check out the salon in my neighborhood after hearing about them on Facebook (& reading) all their positive reviews. The woman who did my hair was Coilin. She did a color correction on my hair. I went in with medium brown hair & I now have beige with blonde highlights. Before starting, she warned me because my hair was dark it wouldn't look exactly like the image that I showed her (which is to be expected with darker hair), but she would get it as close to it as she could. (& She did!) I am so, super duper happy with the outcome. She did a great job! She gave me her business card & has been so sweet. I went in 1 week later & she put more toner in my hair at no cost! I tipped her because I am so happy not only with her work, but her great customer service. She is a very sweet women & I would recommend every one to this salon. They're very welcoming & friendly. I decided out of the blue yesterday that I wanted to get my hair done and called around 12:45 in the afternoon to see if they could fit me in today. Luckily they were able to get me in with Taren and it was great! She was just so sweet and the time flew by. I didn't really know what I wanted done with my hair other than I wanted to get it cut much shorter and colored with some chunks and highlights. She was able to guide me to the perfect color and I love it. She was able to thin my really thick hair, color, cut and style it in about 2 hours which is amazing! My son's also get their hair cut with them once a month and they always love their haircuts and looks so handsome. I will be back for sure! read more

I went to Oasis for the first time ever and I am so thankful I did! :D I scheduled an appointment with Armando and didn't know what to expect really so I went in and he did the most amazing job on my hair ever! He took his time and made sure my hair was done correctly. On top of that he made my Ombre look perfect. Before I had brown hair with tons of different colors in it because I had dyed my hair red and black before and it had faded. I just had my first visit and service here at Oasis and was very happy with my experience. I was a walk-in client wanting a haircut. Coilin was the stylist available at that time and so she took me back. She greeted me and was very inviting and friendly. From consultation to shampoo to cut to styling... she was great! I felt with each part, she took the time and was very thorough, not rushing or half-heartedly going through the motions. It was great to learn about all of her experience too. I tried Oasis when I couldn't get an appointment at my regular salon. Danny cut and colored my hair. I have always left salons feeling like my hair looked good, but never great. Danny paid attention to what I wanted and was a wonderful consultant. He helped me choose a color right for me that also complemented my skin tone. I have seen him 3 times and he is consistently AWESOME. I don't want to go anyone else. I told my son that he needs to change salons. Jessica has been doing the color and keratin treatment on my hair for almost two years now, first at another salon and now here at Oasis, and she does an amazing job. She is great at what she does and I'm always thrilled with how my hair looks when she gets done with it. Finding the right hair dresser is sometimes difficult especially if your going blond. I was very hesitant to change hairdressers but I needed to find a hairdresser in the high desert driving down the hill was not an option anymore. I have experienced a decline in service from my stylist at Mirror Mirror of many years, marked by…read moretardiness, scheduling issues, and unprofessional behavior (taking 40 minutes before color is even applied, constantly rescheduling my appointments, and bad mouthing others) . It seemed like personal problems be it family or relationship, car issues , and health issues were always at the forefront of every appointment: On one recent appointment my stylist complained so much about stomach issues I offered to leave so she could get care . not exactly the relaxing experience you come to a salon for . Despite my loyalty and generous compensation, I was subjected to verbal abuse and unprofessional conduct during my last appointment. The stylist prioritized personal business (helping a non client set up an instagram business at the salon during my appointment time ) an appointment that had already been rescheduled by my stylist request . I was not treated with respect when I asked if this person could come back after my appt (stylist had already told me she had no other clients that day )and the stylist became very angry. As a result things became extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable for me , leading me to share my experience to inform others.
