I had taken the day off and drove from Barstow to Victorville specifically for this appointment. When I arrived for the new 4:00 PM time, she was still working on the previous client. At 4:21 PM, I was told she would call/text me when I could come inside, so I waited in my car. By 5:07 PM, I still hadn't been called in. At that point, it had been over an hour since the rescheduled time and more than three hours since my original appointment. I texted that I couldn't wait any longer and requested my $54 deposit back. She called me at 5:08 PM saying she had just finished and I could either come inside or receive a refund. I chose the refund because I had already waited long enough. To her credit, she was understanding and canceled the appointment through StyleSeat. I understand appointments can run behind, but this was excessive. I had already accommodated a two-hour delay, drove from Barstow, and then waited another hour after the rescheduled time. For a $180 service, I expected better scheduling and communication. I can't speak on the quality of her work because I never received the service. This review is strictly about the scheduling and overall experience. I appreciate that I was given the option of a refund, but losing several hours of my day after making the drive was very disappointing.

It is not always easy to find the right person to do your hair. Sometimes they don't do a good job, or sometimes they are rude and make you feel uncomfortable. I cannot say enough how WONDERFUL Sonya is. Sonya has been braiding my daughter's hair for several months, and it always looks beautiful. From Ghana braids to individuals, and everything in between. She works quickly so you don't have to spend half the day getting your hair done. Sonya has a cute, comfy space in a convenient location. She is professional and reasonably priced.
