Both occasions were for my Kiwanis activities. The CC is very easy to get to and there is plenty of parking in the [very large] lot. A quick walk over to the main house and then the banquet room. It is a very large room with an amazing outdoor patio designed with beautiful settings for any type of photography. (wedding, prom, sweet 16, etc...) There is also plenty of open wall space in the main room to hang banners, pictures, etc... It was a simple and very nice dining experience buffet style. Grilled chicken or Roast Beef or both. Served with green beans and roasted potatoes. All good! The staff here is wonderful and attentive. Even buffet style the servers always made sure you were good at the table. They refilled glasses and took away dirty dishes quickly. My request for a cup of coffee to go at the end of the night was quick and done with a smile. Overall I just picture that the team and then you here we do a wonderful job for just about any type of event. As a photographer, I would welcome the opportunity to take pictures here. I wouldn't recommend walking this course as it felt at times we were driving a whole kilometer from one hole to the next, but this isn't necessarily a negative, just something to keep in mind. The golf course managers do an excellent job of spacing out tee times as we never felt like we were hitting into another group or had someone on our tails. I have no issues with the course itself, however I would not recommend bringing a new golfer here as there are many houses near the course and a novice golfer would very easily hit multiple houses/windows. All in all, I feel like it was a good experience to golf here and would rate the clubhouse/locker room as an A. Keep up the good work.

It's one of the tightest, toughest holes I've ever played. There's literally no room for error. I walked the course and I don't know if I could recommend walking lol. There's lots and lots of distance to cover to go from finishing a hole to the next tee box. Plus the course length plays relatively long. I was tired from walking by the end of the round but I really enjoyed playing there and would definitely play this course again!

The property itself is beyond gorgeous! Fire pit. Lakefront views. Impeccable landscaping. Drinks. Golf. Food. What's not to love???? Approximately ZERO. I wore shorts a nice top and cute shoes and did not feel out of place. The food. Oh. Em. Gee. The restaurant at the club is branded by Nolan's. The menu and weekly specials are easy to find online. I started off with the moscato. I usually only have one glass but it was delicious I had two-don't tell anyone. I got the stuffed garlic bread as an appetizer. That was correct thing to do. I also tried my friends bacon wrapped scallops. I'm not a fan of scallops but I have to say-they were pretty darn tasty (and that's coming from someone who doesn't like them-imagine how heavenly they must be if you do care for scallops!) Next up...the special for the week. Salmon Toscano. I live in Vegas and I have had Gordon Ramsey's salmon at Hell's Kitchen and that was the best meal of my life. I have to say CCC's salmon was right on par with that. Parmesan crusted served in a Parmesan tomato sauce with mashed potatoes. DELICIOUS! I was quite disappointed with the dessert selection. The server started off with something called Bomba...it sounded like a high brow ice cream sundae. I said talk to me about cake. She said they didn't have cake...on a Friday night...during an invitational. This is the only place where CCC was way over par in country club speak (I don't know anything about golf or what I'm saying) I did get a very nice dessert. It had lemoncello and a frozen mousse/sorbet served chilled in a champagne flute. It was very tart, refreshing, yet sweet enough to satisfy my dessert craving. I have to say that the service was at a very very leisurely pace...and maybe it's supposed to be like that at a country club because this is not Red Lobster.

Great course. Scored an 8am tee time during a holiday week by calling the night before! Wow!…read more We showed up early to rent clubs and get balls and tees etc. They had two bags of clubs for us. Between the two bags, it wasn't a full set. We purchased used balls at a dollar a pop and new balls for five bucks a sleeve. Ten tees to a bag was only a dollar, so we grabbed two of those. The shop has some merchandise and snacks. Since we had time, we grabbed a large bag of range balls which cost $8. The pro shop worker let us buy 9 holes for three people and said we could decide if we wanted to do the other nine holes later. Three players for nine holes was $20. Not bad! We asked for a scorecard and headed out to the range. Check the scorecard for a layout of the course. The range was empty. We hit a few balls there. I like how they have distance markers on the range. We skipped the putting range. The greens were well kept but wet from recent rains. The fairways were gorgeous but slow because of the rain. The carts were gas powered. I've never experienced that! No gps or electronic scoring. No windshields, so bugs were all in my face. No towel service either. By the end of the day, we had a great time, my shoes were soaked, and I managed to play like a decent golfer with a 1, 5, 5 hybrid, 7, two 9s, a sand wedge and a putter. Lol. Not a full set, but manageable. Bathroom had no light, had to pee with the door open just to be able to see. The course moved fast. We were done in less than four hours. Only two major water hazards. Lost a few cheap balls, nothing major. Overall, a great time. Bring your own gear, a flashlight and eye protection and you'll do fine. The offering is minimal but keeps cost down. Could use a real restaurant and a snack and drink cart on the course. However, they do a great job maintaining the course, so I would recommend a visit.

A five star country club at an affordable price…read more Note: I am not a member, but I come here when my insurance broker from Stork Insurance needs to talk business. Hole 1: An up-hill climb to this elevated par five green will make you re-think your decision to nix a golf cart. A tight, tree-lined fairway on both sides will also make you re-think your decision to pull driver in front of all those clubhouse onlookers. Hole 2: A medium-length par four that has a disorienting tee shot with a large bailout zone to the left that you can't see off the tee. If your tee shot winds up on the 5th green, you get a free drop, which I learned first hand. Hole 3: The opening four hole stretch is the toughest on the course, and this par four's blind, downhill tee shot provides no opportunity for relaxation. Note: If your ball ends up in the neighbor's yard to the right of the fairway, they don't mind if you retrieve it. But don't hit from their lawn (that's just common courtesy). Hole 4: Another steep up-hill climb to an elevated, semi-blind green that is a staple of the opening ten holes. Don't forget to look back toward the tee box from the green! A wonderful view that pays worthy tribute to the club's namesake. Hole 5: A par 3. I usually hit 9-iron to 20 ft, leave my birdie putt five feet short, and then my kind insurance broker says my favorite words: "That's good." Thanks buddy. Put me down for a three. Hole 6: If you're a lefty who fades it, this tee shot looks nearly impossible. But there's a hack: I highly suggest playing a huge cut to the right of the tree that blocks this par five's fairway. It should slice back into play. And if you wind up on the 7th fairway, it's a pretty agreeable angle into the green. You'll be thinkin' eagle (but if you're like me you will probably flub a chip and make a six). Hole 7: The seesaw front nine takes you back uphill on this short but tricky par four. Hole 8: Back downhill on a par 4. Don't miss right! That ball's a goner if you do. Although if you find a Taylor Made 4, that's mine. Please mail it back to me if you can. You can DM me for my address. Hole 9: The longest par 3 on the course, although it's still probably only a middle-iron for most golfers. Hole 10: The back nine (my preferred nine, for sure), begins with an uphill, dogleg right par 4. The elevated, tree-lined green is one of the prettier spots on the course. Hole 11: The course widens on this back nine stretch. If you were hesitant to let driver fly through the first ten holes, now's the time to let your big dog bark. Hole 12: One of my favorites on the course. A par five at just under 500 yards, a good drive will put you in an exciting go/no-go zone. If you challenge the water and win, you'll be raking in the Schlitz cocktails. If you lose, you'll be complaining about how the Finger Lakes air messes up your ball flight (and marking down a number that begins with 's'.) Hole 13: Back- to-back par fives is a quirk of Lakeside, but not a disagreeable one. This is the longest hole on the course, but an open and forgivable fairway makes it another good driving hole. Hole 14: If you're hungry and forgot to grab a bite at the turn, feel free to grab a few fresh grapes off the wonderful vines along the left side of the fairway, kindly placed for you to snack on. Hole 15: Along with the 12th, this is probably my favorite hole. The cottonwood trees provide an inviting and picturesque atmosphere, even when you're slamming your hybrid into the ground because you chunked one from the tree-lined left rough. Hole 16: An attractive, intelligent, and well-dressed par four. This hole may seem like a beautiful and eligible lady when you square up for your tee shot. But as you head down the fairway, you'll notice the ring. Sorry, boys. She's taken. Hole 17: My favorite of the par 3s. The trees once again create a secluded atmosphere that is the motif of the closing four hole stretch. Hole 18: The blue tees provide a tight angle into a wide open green. The white tees offer a much more forgiving shot. Whichever box you play, you'll love the view as you head for clubhouse and then onwards to The Laurentide to pound Schlitz cocktails with your handsome and delightful insurance broker.
