We visited around 6:50 PM as a party of four, and unfortunately the experience was not what we've come to expect. Our server came across as very unpleasant from the start--she placed items on the table in a rushed and aggressive way (even sliding the salsa to the point it nearly knocked things over), and overall seemed bothered to be waiting on us. The food was also disappointing. We ordered two Monterey Chicken dishes, one steak fajita, and one shredded beef chimichanga. The Monterey Chicken in particular was not edible--it tasted as if it had been microwaved just to melt the cheese, and the overall flavor was very bland. The rest of the meals were also underwhelming and lacked flavor. Additionally, our server never came back to check on us after the food was delivered, so we didn't have an opportunity to address any of this during the visit. We came here to eat after my brother's football game. This Ted's was everything we were hopping for! The food was awesome. I loved their burritos and their tacos. I honestly ate way too much. Also, they had awesome chips and queso! I thought the salsa was just decent though. Another thing I have to add is their service; it was great! Our waiter, Stephanie, was so kind and helpful. She should definitely get a pay raise. The last thing I want to add is the inside was clean (including the bathrooms). Good ambiance too. I ordered two tamales (one beef and one pork) with rice, beans, chili sauce, and queso on top, along with two street tacos that came with beans, rice, chips, salsa, and queso. We were promptly provided the complimentary chips, salsa and cheese sauce. Our waiter brought our drinks along with complimentary flour tortillas, atomic hot sauce and relish and took our order. My wife ordered a beef taco. I ordered a beef and a cheese enchilada with refried beans and fried rice. A person other than our server brought our meals. He was friendly and professional. I loved every bite of the enchilada sampler. My favorite was the beef enchilada. It was chunks of tender, flavorful beef--not ground (and to be honest, beef is usually my least favorite). My second favorite was the cheese enchilada. And then the chicken was good but not quite as awesome as the other two, but still good. The corn was EXCELLENT! And the rice was good too. We had great hopes going to Ted's. The experience started off and ended well, it was the food in the middle that didn't impress. They brought out "the setup", which is chips, warm flour tortillas with cheese sauce and salsa. The setup comes free with an entree. The manager heard it was our first time so she came over with some complementary guacamole. All of this was excellent. I wanted a beer on draft and they didn't have Modelo, so I settled for Pacifico. The waitress asked me if I wanted it "Ted's Way" which apparently is with salt like a margarita. NO, just in a glass. I got it in a margarita glass that made it hard to drink. There is a reason beer comes in a mug or a beer glass. A huge margarita glass almost takes two hands to drink. She asked if I wanted a straw... Again, NO to drinking beer through a straw. We ordered nachos and the classic Mexican dinner. The nachos were sad, just chips and cheese on a plate with some ground beef sprinkled on it. It looked like something a child had made. The Mexican dinner was pretty tasteless and not enjoyable. We dumped the "free" cheese sauce and salsa on them to give them taste. I asked for some sour cream to help my dish along and was given a dollop on a plate for a "small up charge" that turned out to be $2.49. We had also ordered a margarita and it was so sour it was not easy to drink. We left 75% of it behind. We are new to the area and are checking out several restaurants to get our core favorites down. We have no need to return to Ted's. There are too many others that are good. They did end the dinner strong with a complementary desert, a nice sweet dough with honey. So if you try Ted's, stay away from the nachos and maybe you will have a better experience, just don't ask for some more sour cream unless you have an extra $2.50! read more

Tonight, I got a to-go order or steak quesadillas for dinner, and it was delicious. Very flavorful, wonderfully cheesy. It comes with sour cream, pico, and guac (i think) on the side, but I didn't want any of that. My only issue was the steak and tortilla were a little dry and it was slightly difficult to tear apart. This was my first time visiting Ted's. It will be my last. I can't believe people are eating here on a regular basis. My "nachos" were sopping wet and the chicken was cubed and just looked old and dry. My boyfriend had the wrap and said the chicken tasted like mystery meat. He literally couldn't even finish half of it because he was grossed out. The ONLY saving grace were the tortillas and the sopaipillas (which are free). It's been awhile since we ate Ted's (in store or to go) so decided to try tonight. They have went way downhill. Where fajitas used to be plenteous in meat there was almost not enough in the double portion for a single (almost thought they had made it wrong but nope). Packaging was horrific with meat falling through styrofoam container due to no lining. Ted's used to be our 'go-to' but for the high price we will go back to passing it over. The ground beef in my taco and tamale was some of the best seasoned I've had. We had more than enough to eat and it was delicious. Wait staff was on the ball and very kind. Quick food delivery. Ted's has quickly become a "go-to" spot for my wife and I. We've been in midtown Tulsa for AWHILE, and have recently began to slowly relocate south of town. Now, Tulsa Hills is convenient for us to come to town and get some errands done. I'm pretty partial to my favorite taco truck in town (21st, East of Sheridan), but I was all in on this lun special once the plate was set in front of me. I ordered the lunch special, two crispy corn taco shells filled with pork, lettuce, tomato, and cheese served with rice and beans. My wife ordered the lunch special with two tostadas topped with marinaded fajita chicken, lettuce, tomato, and cheese, rice and beans as well. First off, the food was on point! Each item was done so well. And while I was a bit skeptical since these tacos were a step away from my usual street taco fix, the quality won me over in an instant. The rice and beans were a hot with me for sure. My wife said her tostadas were done well, and her lunch as a whole hit the spot. While this wasn't our first trip to Ted's, it was definitely worth reviewing. To add to this meal, Ted's starts you off with chips, salsa, and queso! Yeah, you read that right... FREE QUESO!!!!!!!! It's not bad quest either. I ended up drizzling some of it over each of my tacos, and I wasn't mad about it at all! Honestly, one of the best 0arts of this lunch visit was out server, Aniyah. Personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and one SUPERB server. Just this aspect was a HUGE "win," because a server and their ability to do their job well (or not) can totally make or break a dining experience out. Sweet Mother of Jesus they are delicious and FREE! Wife loves the huge taco. Meat spicy like she likes it. She had street tacos before and enjoyed them. I wanted to make a proper update to my review, because looking at my old review, it seems a bit harsh, and I want to make up for it now. My husband and I had actually went to Buffalo Wild Wings in Tulsa Hills and were ignored for 15 minutes. We walked out, by that point, we were "hangry", so we decided to pop into Ted's and give them another try. We were greeted by a super nice male host, and escorted to a table. Our server was super kind, and as soon as we sat, we were met with fresh chips, salsa, and queso. In my older review, I had mentioned that it was a flour bomb. You could tell it was fresh, but it tasted more of flour than it did of cheese. NOT this time. It was perfectly smooth, and tasted of fresh cheddar and seasonings. We were also asked if we wanted some house-made tortillas, and being we were so hungry, we gratefully accepted them. Oh my gosh, those are SO good! Hot and fresh, a little thicker than tortillas you're used to buying, and I liked dipping them in the cheese. It was a hearty appetizer, for sure! We were offered a few other salsa choices, but I declined those, because their "house" salsa (I would call it, the one they serve as default) was so bright and fresh, that I didn't want any other salsas destroying the taste of that one on my palette. haha Our meals were fantastic, and large. We had to get to-go boxes for what was left. All through the meal, we were frequently checked up on, and beverages topped off. It was such a great experience, a few days later, when mom and dad were hungry, I suggested Ted's. They said, "Okay, let's see." Both mom and dad were very satisfied with their meals, and they also agreed that dipping the tortillas in the cheese sauce was a very tasty snack. I don't know if any management changes happened since my first few visits or what...but it is definitely on point now, and is a new favorite. Great Job! read more
