Downtown

This was my first cooking class. My siblings and I chose the Authentic French Cuisine (filet…read moremignon) class at the chef's home (not downtown! ). She made an excellent substitution for one vegetarian in the group. Chef Erin is amazing, personable, respectful, and professional! She made the meal very easy to recreate at home with tips and tricks. Amazing stuffed mushrooms are easier and do not take as long as I used to make them. I am no longer intimidated to make hollandaise sauce! The class was designed for however much effort you want to put in. It was a very relaxing, cozy atmosphere with time to spare to hangout. The part I had already looked forward to most was no dishes to clean up! Overall, it was a good experience for home cooks to gain confidence in the kitchen. It was a fancy menu and the chef enlightened us on how straightforward it is to put together. She empowered us to do it ourselves, revealing how easy it actually is.

This places is a hidden oasis of brunch goodness…read more My mom has been badgering me for years to try CSFW's brunch and I finally decided to make a reservation for us to have brunch as a belated Mother's day treat. As mentioned in the other reviews, the cost is $16.95 pp. When they seat you, you get a choice of three different entree's (i chose the seafood cake with Orzo, my mom chose the grilled pork chop with polenta) along with fresh made bread, homemade fabulous strawberry lemon marmalade, and flavored butters. In addition to that, you have access to the various food stations. They have a salad and soup station, an omelet station, a pasta station, and a dessert station. They provide you with basic beverages such as coffee, iced tea, orange juice - but you can also BYOB so making your own mimosas are definitely an option. I could go on an on about how wonderful my meal and experience was - i really cant say enough but here's a short version: My seafood cake was heavenly. it consisted of crab, shrimp, and cod. it was mostly seafood and didn't require along of binders. I was seriously disappointed that it was gone so quickly. Keep in mind, your entree is more of a small plate, however with all the other goodies at the stations you'll definitely leave stuffed. The soup i got was a corn chowder that was excellent. Of course, you cant go wrong with an omelet! it was fluffy and perfectly cooked. I passed on the pasta station because i was getting too full and I didn't want to miss out on dessert. I loved how all of the staff was eager to talk about the food, process, etc. Their service was impeccable and made our experience very memorable. They even had a guy there playing the acoustic guitar. If you love food and love being around people who enjoy discussing ingredients and techniques this place is for you. Heck, even if you just want to eat and chill this place is for you! Make sure you call ahead for a reservation. Also: i would consider this place more kid-tolerant than kid-friendly.

Yum! Great brunch experience!…read more There are a half dozen (or so) stations set up including made-to-order omelets, pancakes, salads, soups, pasta & desserts. You also get to order from a menu of seasonal entrees. All delicious. Brunch includes tea, coffee & juice for $16.95 pp. I dined with a group of girls and brought in a cooler with champagne & grapefruit juice, which I recommend doing. Service was excellent.

Save your money, tastebuds, and time by using someone else to cater your event!!!!…read more On Friday, December 7, 2018 I had THE worst catering experience EVER!!!! The food was late being delivered and we received no phone call to advise us that they were running late!!!! We had to call them!!!! The food was not hot nor did they bring us anything to warm it up with. The chicken breast were beyond dry!!!! Desert sand with tumbleweed blowing in the wind comes to mind when I describe and visualize just how dry the chicken was!!!! Dessert was not what the desert we ordered and appeared to have been store bought, frozen, and been thawed out, but yet we we're charged $51.00 for an $8.00 store bought cake. The Red Diamond tea was store bought for $2.88 at Wal-mart, but we were charged $18.00 for two gallons. They brought no serving utensils for any of the food items we ordered. The dinner plates, forks, knives, spoons, and cups were brought with enough for 18 people, but there was not enough napkins for 18 people and there were no dessert plates. The chicken was hella dry. The roasted potato's were hard as a rock, were not completely cooked, and could have been used as a weapon. The only positive thing about the entire catering experience was that the asparagus was good and cooked. I will never ever ever ever ever use this company for any event personally or professionally. This was the first time using them and it was an EPIC fail in supporting local business!!!!
