Throughout the festive period Teddy & Co looked much in keeping with the beautiful family notion of Christmas and American toy shop store fronts. Maybe this had something to do with the large toy soldier occupying prime real estate space in the shop's glass front. Exploded toy box is the first impression to be had with Teddy & Co but on further inspection you see that it's a dedicated teddy bear sanctuary, with a heavy leniency on handcrafted cards and baby gifts too.
If you're in the market for a collectable bear then Teddy & Co is a good place to start, as it's to my recollection the only place I've seen Steiff bears for sale in Leeds. Steiff's can run as high as you're willing to pay, with the smallest of bears starting at the £100 mark, and standard sizes costing around £400, with limited additions reaching £1300. There are other bear brands aside from Steiff, and by comparison some are less expensive, but by no means are they cheap. I wouldn't be giving one of these bad boys to a kidlet for said kidlet to chew and drool and drag across the floor and just generally ruin, but for collectors it is a nice place with knowledgeable staff who know their bears.
For the kidlets Teddy & Co do things like mobiles, personalised plates, nursery/bedroom type decorations, bookends, Winnie the Pooh ornaments, and even letters from Santa and the Tooth Fairy...didn't spot one from the Easter Bunny though. read more
