Ted & Stan's Towing Services provides an awful service. The ETA, to begin with was more than and hour long and on top of that it took 2 more hours for the truck to arrive at my location. The driver lies about the ETA all the time, every time I called to get and update on where he was he said he was going to be there in 30 minutes or 15 minutes. I called On Star around 8:55 PM and got picked up around 12:40 AM. This is not even a "fair" service. Worst experience ever. I rather pay overpriced that have this service again. That day I lost more than $200 because I was unable to get to a concert because the towing truck took forever to get to us. These are some of the very serious deficiencies from Ted & Stan's: - Lies to the customer about their ETA - Won't answer the phone. I had my boyfriend to call him because he won't pick up when I called. - Arrived and didn't introduce himself. I had to approach him and ask if he was the person I was waiting for. His reply: "Do you think I would come and pick up your car just like that?" - The truck smelled like marijuana. Can't say he was consuming but the smell doesn't come from the air. If I can put negative stars I would. TRY YOUR VERY BEST TO NOT EVEN CROSS PATHS WITH THIS COMPANY OR ANYONE THAT WORKS FOR THIS COMPANY. They are crooks, they will not help you! I come to pick up my car after a week of exchanging phone calls with these people explaining to them from the jump that my wallet was lost during an incident where a repo tried to illegally repo my car. I come in and they ask for id so we repeat the conversation we've been having over the phone about the issue. They ask for us to contact the bank and have them authorize a release as well as emailing them a photo of the License. Done. The lady comes to collect 380 cash for the fee which she physically created her own receipt from whatever room she walked in after leaving us in what appears to be an abandoned waiting room. After collecting the money, she left for several minutes and cake back saying that she would like to see a bank card.... although she's well aware that I lost my wallet . She is also well aware of the incident with the repo because there's a whole police report and investigation pending. When we remind the bright lady for the idk how many times, she says she's only asking for it because SHE PERSONALLY DOES NOT THINK that it is me on the license . To save everyone from the head ache I experienced ill cut the story short. Police arrived We explained the situation He looked at the id on the image as well as the registration in my hand Now we're waiting for a tow to get MY Car after two hours of dealing with these individuals Even after the situation is resolved, these people still wanted to give us a hard time and said they requested a tow for us that it'll be here in an hour After 45 mins , we come back inside for an update on the tow and the lady tells us she called me 13 mins ago and then when they do show up they purposely bring the wrong tow ( not a flat bed) after this whole mess these people know for a fact what tow I needed because they know what car Ive been talking about lmaooooo Moral of the story . Worst customer service ever. Not only did they make me pay extra and cash because the owner of car was outta state. The young man with a black hair and Blonde man bun wanted to fight with us because we dropped some cone that was on my 60k car on the floor he tried fighting me an threaten me to park my car again in wynwood end of day y'all released me a car illegally then you try to fight me crazy. read more

Genuinely bad people and even Miami-Dade police agree with that assertion. If they tow your car against your will, there is nothing you can do about it. But you would be making a serious mistake to ever knowingly give them business. You would be better off flying in a sled dog team from Alaska to tow your car. When you go onto their lot, you will most likely be angry, but always remember that they are the ones that have to tow cars (sometimes illegally) and ruin people's days in order to pay their bills. I notice they're reviews match the service given to the community . My review will not change my experience but this company is fraudulent and also negligent with customers vehicles. Staff is literally indescribable from the young ladies in office to the managers at hand disgusting One thing I learned living in Miami record everything!!! When dealing with people of such nature when they are used to something they make it a habit and that's why I'm Not going to even send anything to info@tedandstantowing going to send it to a lawyer whom doesn't reside in Miami because it makes no since, they have no ink to print your receipt for you car you have to come the next day oh now it's they don't have your car that was towed hours ago because they so called have other vehicles to pick up they can pick by twos on a loader (whatever to me sounds like lies), so my car wasn't there because they parked vehicles somewhere else. while they finish of other jobs oh last but not least the damage the vehicle and does not inform you. Oh and there's more you go to the facility the young lady's can not get your vehicle for you because it's raining and has house arrest monitor (which doesn't matter everyone has to work and she's cute) is on her legs. So she doesn't want to walk through puddles for my vehicle in which she can not open the gate so I can leave after walking through puddles of water up to my caps myself at 3201 facility anyway all in all TRASH. I just want the people to know TRASH but they will continue to bring in revenue in the scam like ways of doing business I can go on in on with details of more with photos and time stamps but not worth it I can smell the TRASH. God fearing women, recorded all conversation with individuals polite and firm with responses still received Trash response with a claim of disrespect when in fact they where just trying to hang up on me thank god they record conversation and I recorded as well nothing but politeness and accuracy. read more

Overcharged more than advertised price for the tow, and damaged vehicle in the process.

Here's my experience my allstate called and made arrangements for a tow. My 2012 Ford Escape was inoperable. Jimmy the tow operator should up within 20 minutes, hook up my car with ease. I needed to be towed from Miami to Orlando which was over 250 miles. I spoke with Frank over the phone provided my credit card info which I was a little skeptical but they were honest. This place does not even deserve a star! For all of you who get towed by these mendacious thugs, per Florida Statute 715.07, a towing company must release your car to you within one hour of your request. If the company does not, you can sue them. Use this like I will!!! read more

Luckily enough the overnight tow truck driver Bruce was our savior. I was stuck in a parking garage for 5 hours, dealt with a rude driver and front desk worker at Homestead towing and triple AAA was no help with time, bruce came to the rescue and was really nice and jacked my car up to try putting a spare tire but sadly it did not fit, he even came back because my boyfriends cars tire had a leak and he was nice for saving the day twice, i do not know how this company is in the day, but at night if youre stuck call and ask for bruce, nicest man ive ever met. Need more people like him in this world, thank you Bruce im refering my family to you if they ever need a tow! :) read more

this company towed my box truck 8 miles. over charged $400 for 8 miles that is a rip off!!!!! the owner said he would be there in 15 minutes it took 3 hours and another 30 minutes for him to hook up this non english speaking driver did not know how to hook up// the driver got lost for another 2 hours and they charged me for the time he got lost !!! it cost me 6 hours down time one hours was all it would have took i paid 400 to tow a truck 8 miles i was delayed 4 hours almost 5 to get the truck and the women who answers the phone was like dealing with a child they need to be put out of business read more

Awful service, they left me hanging for 3 hours then the driver try to overcharge me for cash and then ending up hanging up the phone on me... AAA road assistance call them through my membership, the operator after the driver hang up on me fail to disclose how much is a tow charge and how much per mile through my AAA membership. I'm writing this review in the hopes that no one has to endure the suffering that i experience with them. Completely un professional and discourteous. They don't run a clean open air business if they dont want to inform you how much they charge and then after 3 hours wait try to charge me more that double in cash for the same service that a AAA tow truck finally provided and save me... I endure a 4 hour ordeal stranded... My truck was disable within 5 minutes of their radio of operation. It was awful dealing with them!!! read more

The absolute worst towing service in the world. Told me they would be here in 15 or 20 minutes and I waited for 2 1/2 hours while no one came. Very rude on the phone and will over talk to you and curse at you. Please do yourself a favor and if you were stuck on 95 call someone else. These guys are the worst. I wish that no one would ever have to deal with these people. They left a woman waiting for hours on an extremely hot day with no water on the side of the road on I 95. The operator dispatched the call with AAA and didn't send a truck or call me. After an hour, the operator told me I would receive help within 20 minutes, only to not even call to let me know no one was coming. When I called 30 minutes later, to ask where he driver was the person on the line was extremely cavalier about my well being in a situation which was an emergency for me. I was in distress on the phone and was laughed at by the operator. I almost had two panic attacks on the phone with them. The help I needed never came and a simple flat tire turned into a three and a half hour ordeal. Please don't give money to this inhuman trash. There is no place in society for people like this. I have filed a formal complain with AAA and will follow up with the better business bureau. This could have been tragic had I not had my fast acting inhaler. I wonder how anyone could deny another human being the help they promised. read more

Unprofessional Garbage Company. They tell you the price of a tow over the phone and when you get to the lot, the price is completely different and a lot higher. They're probably not even licensed to drive the trucks. My car was completely beat up by the time I got it back. They're disrespectful to their customers, especially women. I had to chase them down as I was stranded in the art district at midnight and when I arrived I was threaten by the drivers as the closed the gate and said "pay the fee and get out of here before we have problems". It was 3 of them as I was forced to pay over $150 at midnight as they mockingly said " I took your car just like I take 10 cars a night, business is business". read more

These guys are crooks. They prey on the social security office and take cars everyday. The guy says cash only $120 . Then magically writes the receipt for $100. My wife is 7 months pregnant and a good woman waiting in the Social Security office. The driver say "Im doing you a favor by giving you your car." I explain it was a mistake and that money was for her baby shower. He could care less. They do this everyday and dont care about human beings. The guy who owns the lot and the company making hand over fist preying on pregnant woman, elderly, and people with disabilities to make a dollar. Very sad but I guess all things go full circle and will catch up with them. I know I couldnt sleep at night doing that. There are plenty of ways to make an honest buck and living but this is the low of the low. Im glad I asked for a paper trail. I wonder how much cash the driver just pockets daily or keeps the 20 and gives the shop 100. Anyone who has ever been towed by this company please call 305-603-6531. The City of Miami only allows $101 tow rate and the company may have to pay you 3 times that amount if they overcharge like the man today charging 120 cash and not giving a paper trail unless asked so him or the company can pocket the money. If your car is dropped on site the rate is 50.50 as mine was and I paid the $101. Dont get taken or abused and call the number if they ripped you off like me. If you feel this company did something illegal or overcharged you as they did me please call 786-469-2333 that is Miami Dade and they call help you.
