Hundreds of vendors from all over the Great Lakes and midwest. Most of the things we used to furnish our home came from this venue. Now, 3 half filled buildings. Most things not priced. Some very nice things but most of it run of the mill. Not worth the trip, the time or the entrance fee. You will notice that the previous reviews listed are from 2006 and 2008.... The management makes a very strong claim to oversee the booth owners, to kick out anyone who mislabels things, and to squelch dealers who buy and mark up items for resale the same day.

I checked out some of the jewelry and the spoon rings alone were $20 each. I looked through a lot of the clothing and most things were $14.99 and above. Most of their clothing wasn't very well curated for the high prices in my opinion. I tried on one top but the worker looked a little burdened to help which made me uncomfortable. Their garage home section was really cool but again, everything was incredibly overpriced. Overall, here are my prices and cons: Pros: 1. Some kind service; well greeted. 2. A lot bigger than you would expect. It goes far back and then loops around as well. Some places to sit for older people interested in checking it out Cons: 1. Overpriced for a consignment store. I work at one in a wealthier area and the items still aren't that expensive. 2. Imbalanced service. Some were kind, some weren't. 3. Size organization was kind of all over the place 4. It is well stocked with men's, women's, boys & girls clothing, toys, sporting equipment, electronics, pet related items, furniture, kitchen items, crafting supplies, home decor, linen/ bedding, and so much more. It's a great place to browse with very affordably priced merchandise. Often they have certain items marked down up to 50% off sticker price. Unbeknownst to me was that the jacket was missing the main zipper. Yes... the jacket had absolutely NO zipper with which to close out the cold. We discovered this only after I returned home & my 14yo son tried it on. I tried to return asking just for store credit. The store rep - Abby informed me they would not take back the jacket as it was marked "clearance". And that because their buyer "made a mistake" they marked it clearance (30% off original price). When I emphasized that I only wanted store credit and that I would gladly choose something else for my son. I suggested that if they were passing a "mistake" onto a customer, that they should do so with transparency and clearly mark the tag with a note indicating the items flaw, e.g. write "missing main zipper" on tag. Otherwise, I suggested, the omission smacks of deceit and is unethical. She seemed unconcerned. Abby & other employees said with a laugh, "we don't even know how to do that". Meaning they don't know how to do a store exchange. I couldn't help but notice an air of smugness when she said this. Abby was quite bodacious and loud as she exclaimed a refusal in front numerous customers. I felt humiliated and defeated. So they refused to accept the jacket back. Adding insult to injury, Abby offered to take the jacket and donate it! I am a seasoned shopper and loyal customer of Platos. We've purchased clothing for all 3 of my now teen kids for the past several years over the course of numerous growth spurts including a current growth spurt my 14 yo is now experiencing! I don't appreciate the disrespect nor the blatant disregard on full display for other customers to witness and perhaps intended as showcase. I'll simply have to take my business elsewhere. Luckily, there are numerous options for used clothing.
