My kids have been going here for two and a half years, and I feel like the key to the success here…read moreis you need to be a little bit more of an involved parent and find a coach that is a good fit for your child. Overall, the staff here are wonderful. Jennifer in the office is an absolute doll and the owner Lisa is extremely hands-on and you can tell that she really cares about her students. Not all coaches are created the same, and while admittedly there are some duds in the bunch,( as they do utilize some younger coaches for more of the toddler classes and such-not really bad coaches per se, just unseasoned) it's something that you as a parent should be able to recognize immediately if you're actually taking the time to sit there and watch your kiddos and see how they're engaging in class. As for the training itself, if your kiddo is dedicated and they have a passion for gymnastics they have the potential to go far within the sport in Avant Coeur. We checked out a few of the other local schools before enrolling our kids, and there really is no comparison. Avant Coeur is just leagues beyond other local offerings.

Was super excited to find a Parkour program in CDA Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. No…read morewarm up or stretch, spotting is rare and dangerous. Coaches do not seem to know how to teach except jump out on equipment & do it themselves. The very young coaches do more parkour than any of the students. There is no clear teaching moments in a 1 1/2 hr class. The coaches do not monitor safety or the kids all getting turns. First class a kid fell from a men's high bar to their face and no coach was near, watching, or even noticed. They are too busy chatting or playing themselves. Unsafe and no direction. Clearly a lesson plan is not even a thought nor is there any commitment to the kids learning . It's more like open gym. Would not recommend!!!!!!! After we posted this and alerted management of our concerns they were very professional and pro-active and appear to be attempting to rectify the above issues. Our son still does not wish to continue but we wanted to be fair and comment on their response.

Extremely unprofessional and heartbreaking experience…read more We are extremely disappointed with how Evergreen Gymnastics handled our family's situation; especially after being there for almost 5 1/2 yrs! Mid-season, after we had already paid all tuition, meet fees, competition leotards, travel expenses, airline tickets, and lodging, we were abruptly removed from the gym. There was no warning, no prior conversation, and no attempt to sit down and discuss any concerns. Instead, we received a termination text message, which is incredibly unprofessional--especially for a youth sports program that claims to prioritize athletes and families. The decision was reportedly based on hearsay, not facts, and our daughter did absolutely nothing wrong to deserve being kicked out of her gym in the middle of competition season. She followed the rules, worked incredibly hard, and poured her heart into her season -- only to have it ripped away from her without explanation or fairness. The devastation this caused our daughter is something no child should experience. Gym was her passion, her commitment, and her safe place. Watching her try to understand why she was suddenly removed, through no fault of her own, was absolutely heartbreaking. The lack of communication, decency, and professionalism from the owner was shocking. Removing a child from a team this way--without discussion, transparency, or fairness--speaks volumes about how families are treated once concerns arise. Parents considering this gym should be aware that commitments and payments may not be respected, and that decisions can be made abruptly without proper communication or due process.

The facilities are top-notch and well-maintained - from the equipment to the changing rooms to the viewing areas. They offer a variety of classes, which provide something for everyone, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. We also love how they structure their classes in terms of age groupings and skill levels. The staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to help out and answer any questions. They ensure our kids feel safe while they're learning new skills. And they make sure that everyone is having fun while pushing themselves to reach their goals. Overall, Spokane Gymnastics has been an incredible place for our children to grow as gymnasts. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality gymnastics instruction!

You'll be paying teenagers to "coach" your children. Some are great (friendly and caring-- but…read morestill not professionals), some not so much. The owner doesn't have a set or stringent outline for training. This is basically just an overpriced playdate. She's now throwing your children under the bus to make sure she'll still be able to generate revenue. Inslee has called for remasking as of today, 8/23- but that doesn't apply to children exercising. Nadine has decided to go "above and beyond" in compliance in order to avoid getting closed or losing money. She, in her infinite medical wisdom and against the advice of all agencies, is going to have your children touching their masks/faces every 30 seconds or so by having them pulling their masks up and down throughout practice. Her guidelines ignore the recommendation to wash each and every time a face mask is touched and instead tells your kids to pull them down when they're on the mat and then pull it back up as they finish. I guess she's hoping for lawsuits by imposing medical decisions outside of (already tyrannical) orders. Covid aside, it's also unsanitary and a little gross.
