I spent two separate two-hour sessions with Apple support and another two-hour session with different IT consultant I use--six hours total--in a futile attempt to solve a problem with the disappearance of one entire email account. All three consultations failed to fix a crippling condition. I spent 27 minutes with Peter at Technician X during which he not only solved my problem but also another problem I didn't even know I had. What a shame I can give him and Technician X only five stars. I'd dump an entire constellation on them if I could! I went to get my laptop checked out because the hinge was loose and they ended up taking it apart and weren't able to restore it to how I had given them in the first place. So basically I had a laptop that wasn't working, they charged me 80 dollars for the service and told me to take it home because "it was going to break anyway". My laptop was not in bad condition, I just wanted to see if they could diagnose a problem. After much argument, they ended up shipping it to HP and I paid for that and their terrible service. If I had known all along, I would've sent it to HP in the first place. Their service was terrible and I would never recommend anyone to go here. read more

Came in here to have our old laptop checked out. Instead of trying to get me to by a new one, they diagnosed the problem with my old laptop and then gave me a side-by-side $ comparison between fixing the old one and getting a replacement. Unfortunately, there was more problems with my original, so I opted to purchase a refurbished laptop through Technician X. They even pulled out my hard drive out of the old laptop and enclosed it as an external hard drive for a reasonable price. I know I could have gone to a big box for a brand new replacement, but I'm happy with the refurb and felt I was treated right. read more

My one year old Lenovo Erazer 315 suddenly stopped working. I called Lenovo technical service dept. Got someone from the Philippines to answer the call. The technician went through approx 30 minutes of diagnosis and checks and told me that I needed to completely wipe out the hard drive and start from scratch to bring back to Lenovo default settings. I declined and looked for a local repair facility. I found Technician X nearby. I left a message and Dan called back and was very courteous and explained to me the min charges and what that entailed. I carried my desk top PC to the shop. Within 3 days as they had promised, Peter who worked on my PC called me and told me it was working and they fine tuned it. It only cost me $50. I highly recommend this PC repair facility should you need any PC repairs. They also sell computer peripherals and printer supplies at very reasonable prices. Before visiting, I called 'Technician X' shop over phone. The guy who attended my call asked me to bring the Desktop for immediate diagnosing ($50 plus taxes & keep repeating it multiple times!!). After reaching the shop with my heavy & newly built desktop the next day, the person at the shop, flatly refused to do any immediate diagnose instead asked me to handover desktop for diagnose after couple of days depend on the queue (may be unaware of how to diagnose?!). And very particular that there is no on-the-spot diagnose. If they do diagnose (repair follows later) based on a queue system of their own or if they are incapable of repairing advanced desktops, that should have communicated to the customer clearly (over the phone when I call). This would help me not to waste my 10 miles drive from my home and carrying my heavy desktop. Anyway I am happy that I have not asked them to touch my $3000 worth of my desktop. read more

My tablet was driving me crazy. It was almost brand new but it wouldn't charge. I'd have to wiggle the charging cord around for up to 20 minutes to get it to work. I was so sick of it. I took it to tech X and they figured out immediately that the port was loose, and had been glued in place rather than soldered. I got charged 60 for the hardware and 100 for the labor. Have been going to Technician X for about 7 years. Have used them for both computer repair and network installation/support. Also get my inkjet cartridges refilled there for half cost of new cartridges. Owner and employees are knowledgeable and honest. Planning on getting new laptop from them soon as well. read more

Used Technician X twice and both times, my computer came out with more problems than it had when I brought it in. I learned my lesson last time. My bill was almost $300, the major issues I asked them to fix were not repaired and now I have even more problems with frozen screens and windows explorer. read more
