I took my iPhone with a cracked screen into Techloop with the intent of buying a screen protector. The crack went diagonally across the bottom half of the screen and was not terribly noticeable and I thought I could get by with a screen protector to keep the glass bits at the corner from cutting my fingers. Latif cleaned the screen and razored off the bits and said it might be just a scrape rather than an actual crack. Miracle of miracles, he managed to restore the screen to its original condition. He recommended that I put a glass protector on it to prevent future mishaps and for $30 I got my phone back good as new. I was in and out in 10 minutes and Latif could not have been nicer. He very much wants to be a reasonably priced local resource, and I highly recommend him for all your phone cases and tech repair needs. read more

I would like to thank Techloop Electronics Menlo Park for repairing my phone not once, but twice, and for carefully restoring YEARS of photos and recordings of loved ones who have passed away and my Beloved One's birth and first few months of life. I had a really old iPhone 7 that was not backed up to iCloud nor to any other device, and then the entire screen got shattered to the point where all you could see was a mostly black screen with a few colored vertical lines. Letif, the owner, replaced the entire screen in under 30 minutes and got the phone up and working again, for $90. About two weeks later, the same phone, which I still had not backed up, got run over by a vehicle weighing over 6,000 lbs and the back was dented and it (obviously) would not turn on or anything. Hector was by some miracle able to salvage the memory board and restore the phone with ALL PHOTOS, RECORDINGS, etc INTACT, in less than 7 days, for $250. Letif also showed me two different ways to back up my data and offered to do it for free. He did return my phone with an incorrect SIM card, but found my correct SIM card within a day and fixed that issue. Some other notes about my experience with Techloop Electronics: The staff were pleasant and professional and the store was clean and comfortable inside. He took my broken iPhone and examined it the way a doctor evaluates an injured patient. He handled my phone super gently and thoroughly explained what the best course of action would be. Instead of charging me a consultation fee or taking any money, he kindly told me his recommendation. The phone was not worth repairing but he could fix it for me if that's what I wanted. He was super knowledgeable and informative. Explained everything very well and was also patient and friendly. I learned quite a bit about the logistics of an iPhone while I was there. The guy gave me instructions on how to temporarily fix the problem myself and how to prevent further damage.
