The first time i came here was a good experience although my haircut took longer than I've ever experienced but the guy who did it had just had surgery on his leg so I didn't blame him. The second time i came i was disappointed that i was coming for a treatment that was over $250 and i had to wait over a hour and 15 minutes before rescheduling and leaving. However, luckily when i came back for the appointment i had Tauny doing my hair and my whole bad experience was replaced with a terrific one. Tauny is absolutely terrific in every way! She is not only a incredible hair dresser but also very personable and kind. I am so glad she did my hair treatment!! Cody was there for his first day and knew everything he was talking about and doing and was also incredible and attentive and when washing my hair he gave me the best scalp massage ever! When you pay $300 for partial highs and a cut and you go home to cut your own hair? It's probably not the best thing. I showed my stylist what I wanted for a cut and it came nothing near it. Nor was the color. I would rather pay for the airfare to fly back to canada to get my hair done... for a lot less money.. Including the airfare. read more

I came in here because a prior stylist butchered me and I was in need of some serious "hair surgery" The sign on the window said they were voted number one salon and since it is directly across from my office building, I figured I would give them a shot. I walked in to make a same day appointment and was greeted by the very friendly staff. I returned for my appointment two hours later and was promptly taken care of. I recently had surgery and was unable to blowout my curly hair for a work event. I few people in my building recommended the salon but with the caveat that it was good but not the best. I was desperate and figured It would at least help me look polished for my event. The shampoo itself was great but the blowout itself not so much. As I mentioned, I have curly hair and typically it takes any hairstylist 45 mins to blowout. This took 30 mins (and no he didn't use a Dyson). He went quick and didn't appreciate that my hair is curly and needs a bit of a "pull" to lock it in with the heat. It looked fine when I left the salon but within 30 minutes, I looked like a chia pet. And trust me that never happens when I get my hair blown out. read more

She took the time to listen and pair me with an amazing stylist! I'm just a short walk from the salon; I waited outside as appropriate for Covid - rules. . .and my stylist came and got me right away. Her name is Priscilla and she is just an excellent pro - there's alot of expertise involved in working on brows and having them still look "natural". I literally JUST made this Yelp account as I felt obligated to review Tease and warn all future potential customers. Before I even sat down in the salon chair, my stylist was drinking a mimosa (??? Concerning). During the consultation I showed multiple photos of the style I was going for. I wanted to cut around four inches, but my stylist said "mm are you sure???" And made me feel self conscious about this decision, implying that I shouldn't go so short, so I told him I trusted his opinion because he is the one with hair cutting experience. I also asked for some layers for more movement and face framing for shape. The entire haircut felt extremely rushed like it was a competition to finish before my friend's stylist did. And indeed, we were done 45 min before her. I felt like my stylist was very scissor happy and just making random cuts. The way it was styled covered up the mistakes for a day but once I washed and blow dried it myself I realized how terrible it really was. The layers were EXTREMELY choppy - essentially there were two layers to my hair and the top layer was about three inches shorter than the under part - and there was no face framing at all, the layers were literally shorter than the front pieces. So, I went back to the salon where they happily agreed to fix it. I was scared to go back to the same stylist but my friends and family told me there was no way it could get worse. We were all wrong. I now look like I have a shag (see Mrs. Brady's mullet hairdo from the Brady Bunch for a reference). The face framing has been added and the choppiness of the layers has only been accentuated. There is ZERO angling, the layers were cut in a straight line and got even shorter when I explicitly asked for them to be blended and said to not make them shorter because that would have the opposite effect of what I asked for. Additionally, my face framing pieces hang in my face and are NOT EVEN THE SAME LENGTH - the right side is a full inch longer than the left. I am shocked. Thank you, but no thank you. read more

I've been seeing Andrew at Tease Salon since I was a little kid and I cannot begin to say enough nice things about him, Luann, and his salon. Today was the perfect time to write this review because I truly can't thank him enough for the work he put in to fix my hair. Yesterday afternoon I went to a new salon in West Palm Beach since we live up here and it was close by. I don't color my hair a lot since I was a teenager but decided to try a caramel balayage. The stylist seem knowledgeable and the place was nice but my hair turned out very poorly. He had died my whole head of brunette hair blonde! I was so upset and worried about how I was going to fix it. We texted Andrew this morning and he saw me right away. I didn't know how we'd be able to fix it but he truly pulled off a miracle! I went to Tease for a single process. I had heard it was a good salon and I pass by it every day. It was awful. The stylist, a big guy, was rude, disinterested and careless. He left me in the chair for about 20 minutes longer than necessary, and my scalp was burning, and I had to ask someone to find him because I couldn't. I have reddish hair, and my roots came out bright orangey red. I complained, and they did it over again for free. It looked better, but the roots still are bronze and look awful. When we were done, the stylist left me in the chair and just left the salon. No one said anything to me, and I just left. It was an awful experience. read more

Lovely experience at Tease salon for the first time! I was the last appointment of the day, but Josie was absolutely wonderful and took her time cutting and styling my hair. I am so happy with the cut!!! She heard what I had to say and then offered professional suggests for how she could cut it and create the style I was looking for. Went in the next day and Priscilla told me it was not a burn. Waited a week still red and peeling so I contacted the owner. She asked to send pictures to her which I sent. Then I get a call from Priscilla who burned my face to offer me $40 off my next service. ? I told her I will never go there again and to have the owner call me back as she said she would. I had pin straight, fine, virgin hair and have never had to do anything to it to style it besides maybe wand it sometimes if I wanted waves. I decided to get my hair permed and was mortified when I got home. I called the salon in a panic bc I thought something was wrong with my perm/hair and it looked weird. Andrew had me come in to see what was going on. I had no breakage or damage, but he gave me a trim that significantly improved it. Then Evelyn showed me exactly how to wash, dry, style and deal with curly hair (which is wayyyy different from what I'm used to with straight hair). I'm so happy to say, that I'm obsessed with the perm now! I went from absolutely hating it, to being obsessed with it!!! Any other salon would have looked at my newly permed hair and told me it was fine since the hair wasn't damage and there was nothing wrong with the perm itself, but they went out of their way to show me the ropes to get it to what I wanted and made sure I was happy. Worst overall experience of my hair's life!! - didn't listen to my 'consultation' and what I wanted - hacked my hair into the worst cut I have ever received - blowdried my short hair with a large round brush, ended up looking like a mushroom - asked another employee to wash my hair... Never got conditioner until mentioning it to him after he started to dry my hair, the he acted as if I was inconveniencing him - sent me to wait in the lobby with my highlight foils and never came back to get me - only after another stylist checked my hair and said 'oh yea, you're def done' (who he had not asked to check on me) did he scramble over to get me - my hair was striped with over processed blonde chunks. - didn't want to fix it I left the salon in tears $220 poorer! This place is so overrated on Yelp. I had my hair cut with Jocelyn twice. Both times I had to come back to have it fixed. She didn't seem happy about having to fix my hair, rushed through the correction and blamed me for being too picky. When I went to another stylist he spent a long time trying to "figure out" my haircut, and told me that it looked like someone made a mistake and then tried to correct it. Meanwhile, I paid over $70 each time for these mediocre haircuts, plus the parking garage fee across the street. Maybe there are better stylists here, but I won't be going back to Jocelyn. read more
