This place has a terrible attitude. Receptionist is so rude they think you owe them a favor for being there. Jody is very good at highlights if she cares so she botched my hair once and made it nice another time. James is great at haircuts but smells like smoke and booze and unreliable. Charged me for a blow-dry when none was done. The others are so gossipy and unprofessional that after three times visit I decided to abort. read more

This salon is a a total rip off despite what everyone has been saying First off, I made an appointment for consultation with Jody. The receptionist new nothing about the consultation. After waiting approximately 45 minutes to see Jody, she finally came over to me. She gave me a few minutes of her attention (total rush job). I decided to cut my bangs. I had long hair and asked her who is good with long hair. She advised me as to whom I should use. All of a sudden a hairstylist approached me (not the one she recommended) and told me that Jody told her to come over to me. I sat down in her chair, and advised her that I wanted my bangs cut. Before I knew it, I was getting my hair cut. I advised the girl that I wanted to keep my hair long and only wanted my hair trimmed. I looked in the mirror not more than 5 to 10 minutes later, and all my hair was gone. I kept telling the girl oh my g-d, my hair is so short. All she kept saying is "no it is not short it looks fine. When she was done cutting my hair (the longest hair cut in creation) my hair was all choppy and short. She must have used a razor on my hair. Mind you have thin to medium hair and very bleached.. I believe you do not use a razor on porous hair. I called Jody the next day, which was right before Christmas and she just kept saying to me, come in , we will fix it. Not only was it all layered, but very uneven. One side was longer than the next and extremely fizzy from layering in an area that was already damaged. I was going to go back to the salon to ask for a refund, but it was before the holidays and then I left for vacation. I have since spoken to someone who knew the salon and used to go to Jody for hair color. She stated that Jody was totally wacky and burnt her hair so bad from over bleaching and overlapping. I will never step foot in the salon again. Not only is Jody incapable of hair color, but she also does not hire hairstylist that know how to cut hair. Jody is full of hers self, and thinks because she was on Snips, she is a connoisseur on hair color. Bullsh--t. I understand that when she was on the television show she was portrayed as being a wacky hair colorist. Anyone who knows something about hair and hair color should never use this salon. The only reason that I ever went to this salon was for Marques. I am origininally from NYC and used to high end colorists who have a range of colors, not just a few. Marques is an amazing colorist that I have been following since he was working at Ted Gibsen in Ft Lauderdale's W Hotel. Marques is absolutely amazing but Jody, the owner, is so difficult to deal with. If you are looking for an amazing colorist.... go to SALON EDGE AND ASK FOR MARQUES. That is where he has moved to... its around the corner and the staff is much more down to earth! read more

This salon is lucky to have Gino on board. I try to see him every time I visit Florida. A few weeks ago I got a terrible haircut in a high end salon in San Jose. Yesterday I made an appt with Gino. In 40 mins he changed the cut into a chic look. I've lived in several places in the US and Europe and I keep coming back to Gino any chance I have. I usually get my hair cut here, but I decided to do something different to my hair, I decided to add some color! And I couldn't be any happier! Chelsea did balayage ombré and I loved it!!! I was immediately greeted upon entering the salon by the very friendly staff. I sat down and my butt barely hit the seat before i was escorted to the wash station exactly at my appointment time. Too often i have been to other salons and you wait and wait long past your appointment time. All of our time is valuable so i appreciate when my time is respected. I think I was the first haircut this poor lady every did.....she was very nice but it took forever. I was asked to pay ahead of service because of the class. Not relaxing or professional. I went to see Vanessa for a cut after being referred but my cousins who all go to her. She is very cool as a person and did an excellent job on my hair. She did exactly what I asked, she's quick and precise with the scissors and I couldn't be happier with the cut. This salon should be closed down. The woman at the desk is awful & rude to everyone. She hangs up on people & acts inconvenienced. It's supposed to be upscale but there's never wifi for guests....they always just say oh we're getting it fixed. It's 2016, you should have working wifi for guests. Everyone around me was freezing to death because they keep it so cold. The salon chairs were disgusting & uncomfortable. Bathrooms were gross too. For where it's located & the prices they charge it should be top notch. All but a couple stylists look outdated. I've been in numerous times with my gf that goes & she even recently decided to stop coming for these same reasons. It's only a matter of time before this place closes its doors. read more

Well I can only say WOW!! I have been going to Jody for at least 5 years and she never ceases to amaze. I never have to say how I want my Highlights and yet she just does it perfectly every time. The people there are very friendly and actually listen when you telll them how you would like your hair done. This visit I had a new treatment called Dosage I think. It takes the Frizz out with out the harsh chemicals. I can not wait to see how it works for me. I drive over an hour from Palm City to get my hair done and like I said have NEVER been disappointed. RIP OFF. Went in for a consultation and have naturally med. brown hair and had a few highlights. I wanted more highlights and conditioning treatment. The DOSAGE treatment that was advertised on television is a ripoff. 1st, they said it was $35 but prices start at $50 and that does not include a blowout. So, $80 ( + tip) later, I had a treatment that was worthless. My hair is not different than it was before I wasted my money. It did not straighten it, make it easier / faster to blow dry nor does it help combat humidity. Don't waste your money! read more

Rated 1 star only because 0 is not an option. Made a 1st appointment with Kelly after they ran an ad stating that she specialized in mens hair cuts. Salon called the day before to confirm. Arrived 10 minutes before my appt. time. After waiting 10 minutes was told "I don't think she is coming in today". The fact they they didn't have the respect to call me to cancel is bad enough but I do understand that sometimes things occur. What REALLY bothered me is that no one seemed to care. I over heard the receptionist tell Jodi what happened but she didn't have the courtesy to come over to apologize nor has anyone ever called to apologize. Nothing. While I was waiting I was looking around thinking "boy this place has a bad vibe". Guess I was right. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where there is a chance that your business will be appreciated. read more
