I have a baby shower coming up on the 12 and wasn't able to get an appointment with the salon I normally go to so since this one was closer to my job and had availability I had no choice since all I wanted was a bangs ,wash , set ,blow-dry and flat iron I had already pre-washed and detangle my hair and but wanted to wash out again, I rather not say her name because I don't k ow if what she did next was the simple fact that she has never worked on people with my hair type before or she just didn't know-how (whichever way this was the 1st and last time going here )or just didn't give a shit.so after she washed my hair she was very indolent towards even working with my hair, she took some sort of rollers that seemed like velcro , didn't even detangle my hair just rolled it up and there wasn't a actual hair dryer , after my was extremely tangled up more than ever after so tangled the she couldn't get the rollers from out of my hair , she had to end up getting one other employee (Denise )for assistance.. I thought that I would of end up with a patch .i got so irritated with the woman and was starting to run out of time I had to ask her if she would get Deniseto finish or at least try to since Denise had clients of her own.Denise had gotten out the tangled rollers and blown dry my hair but was unable to finish with the flat iron part (I could of tell that she was fed up but she was nice enough to help out)so she told the one that I was with to finish as she slowly started to walk towards me and started to section my hair off not even with a comb but with some type of clip I told her I was just going to do it my self when I got home my 1:30pm appointment ended at 3:30pm , smh never again . read more

Horrible experience and the ruined my hair. I brought in a picture of what I wanted which was a balayage and I got the opposite. I paid $200 and left unhappy. I went back because they said they would tone it and it was still horrible. When the lady called to check on me I told her it was okay and I still wasn't happy she told me I would have to do everything all over again and be charged. I had the keratin treatment done in February by one of Al's stylistas, and I am happy to update my review with a five star report. Their keratin is low low low in chemicals and my favorite part is that they will give you a letter explaining the proper maintenance of your newly enriched hair. I.e. use a sulfate-free shampoo, dry on a low heat settings, no need to use any styling products. To make this experience even more noteworthy, you are invited back three to four days after your treatment for a complimentary wash and dry. I went about a year without keratin, but thanks to Al's salon, I'm back in the game of virtually frizz free hair in steamy South Fla. read more

I called at two pm on a tuesday and was in by three. I had a brief consultation with Al and the haircut started. I had my hair washed, including a complimentary scalp massage that had me falling asleep. I am in love with the way that Aisha cut my hair and look forward to returning for a deep conditioning treatment! The whole staff was super friendly and very entertaining. Don't waist your $20-25 dollars on salons and barbers. Ellie is a truly trained stylist and everyone trains on new techniques. My hair is challenging as my new transplants are 8 months old Nd at different lengths. Ellie and team discussed what is the best and they priced out their decision. It looks great. I serendipitously stumbled into this little salon after getting my nails done next door. I had long been neglecting my locks and my ends were splitting up faster than a celebrity marriage. I was able to walk-in with no appointment and got a quality cut from Mr. Stephens, himself. And he had no qualms about giving it to me as straight as my hair and saying I needed to take better care of my coif. I had to bid farewell to at least four inches. He had a technique I've never experienced before, which included me standing for part of the cutting process. The whole staff was friendly and efficient and the salon was simple and clean, not to mention pretty new as it's only been there for about a year. It was $55 for a shampoo, condition, cut & blow out which I think is decent for a non-McSalon in SoFlo. They're open 7 days a week (unheard of for salons) and I like that it's a local place and they even have their own line of haircare products. Talk about an overachiever! I'm happy to report after almost two weeks, my hair still has that freshly-cut look where the ends are all crisp and straight. Loving it. BOTTOM LINE: OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK so you should be able to spare some time to give them a try! read more

I had haircut, style and color with Al. I specifically asked for stylist not to cut too much of my hair's length and he took off 2 inches! I also said that I do not want fringe and he did it anyway. They also have a huge sign in the front about their "special" - $99 for color and cut, except it is much more if you do it with Al. I wish they would tell me that when I made my appointment. Also you cannot add tips to credit card transaction and they send you to ATM to withdraw cash for tips. After reading so many great reviews I was clearly disappointed. I prepared for this visit from Jersey with the hopes that my good friend would 'hook me up' with her new stylist, Al, and thank goodness she did!!! HE AND HIS STAFF ARE AMAZING! As soon as I stepped off of the plane, I was taken directly there where I not only got my scheduled Keratin treatment, but this great cut, which my hair desperately needed. Al made me feel so comfortable that I looked forward to returning for my follow-up....which was just as amazing. Since my return form Florida, my hair has gotten so many compliments and it feels soft and the cut is quite flattering. I called and scheduled and appt.with Al and they told me what time to come. I arrived after driving for 45 minutes from North Miami and was greeted by the receptionist who told me Al was running behind, really behind and she could cut my hair. Al was right in front of me and was doing color on a lady and he never even said how long the wait would be nor did he apologize. I left and called back and the girl told me the reason Al was behind was because the lady was really late and had just come in before me a few minutes. I said that she should have had to wait since I had the appointment adn I was on time and then she could have waited on me. This salon is terrible!!! I went in asking for my natural color and highlights. My hair came out this muddy, dishwater color. I went back to have it corrected. It is now orange, bright carrot top orange. I have been getting my hair done for 18 years and never had it orange. The owner was quite insulting asking me if I bleached my own hair. The stylists could care less that they messed my hair up and almost felt like they were bothered by me being there.Their work is absolutely terrible. I am embarrassed to walk outside with this awful hair. Never, ever again will I go back nor will I ever suggest this salon to all of my friends, family and co-workers. read more
