So I never write reviews, but I absolutely had to take the time to write about Tease It! I typed in hair salons into my Maps and Tease It was the second salon to come up, it was only a mile from where I was and I was in desperate need of a hair cut so I just drove straight over. Didn't call ahead or check to see if they had any available appointments. The front desk receptionist was so kind and understanding in my need to have my hair cut TODAY. The receptionist also has a pug which pretty much solidifies the salon's legitimacy for me. G cut my hair and did an amazing job! He took the time to ask me about the style I wanted and was open to discussion on what I wanted and what would look best on me given my hair type. He never once said "No I won't do that." instead, asking if I was sure and explaining the styling maintenance for straight across bangs might not be something I would want to deal with every day. I always prefer my stylists to cut off less in the beginning and also for my hair to be cut dry. G is so intuitive he did all of this without me ever even having to ask. Once he had finished, he let me see the back and showed me how much he had cut. worked with me to find a way to achieve the style I wanted that would look best on me given my hair type. Sometimes it feels like a stylist will just kind of do whatever they want based on what they think you SHOULD have, but this was not G at all! He was open to discussion about what I wanted and provided his professional opinion in a way that didn't make me feel like he was deciding for me. He was super attentive, professional, and just overall a really kind person.It was worth every penny and I would highly recommend this salon and G himself. read more

Tiffany is super skilled, equipped with the latest techniques & has a creative vision! I've been a loyal client of hers for several years now. She's such a sweetheart; she genuinely cares for her clients and takes the time to get to know everyone. She'll take on any challenge when it comes to cutting & coloring hair. If you aren't 100% happy with the cut or color, Tiffany is happy and eager to adjust it to your liking. Cuts are typically around $50 here. Color may vary in price. The location of the salon is off the beaten path though. When you get into the parking structure, I recommend parking on the 3rd level, so you're close to the salon. They validate parking tickets too. It's a decent size salon with a spa in the back as well. Everyone there seems to keep it clean, orderly, and mellow. This review is for Samantha, the esthetician, only. I discovered Samantha through one of daily deal sites, and have been a client ever since. I initially went to her for some type of facial, but after she looked at my skin, she offered to do a facial more suitable for my skin (even though the deal was for something else.) I appreciated that. I ended up buying a "package" of, I think, five facials. She really takes the time to talk to you about your skin, and to let you relax. While sometimes the extractions are painful, she does a great job of keeping you at ease. Highly recommend! (Note: I did visit Tease It, too, for hair, after being a client of Samantha's for a few months. My hair was fried and destroyed (I went dark from being a natural blonde)... so I cannot recommend them for hair. It's still recovering.) read more

Chaz is my colorist/stylist and he is beyond amazing, always makes me look and feel like a million bucks! I had a surprisingly great experience here for a cut. I say surprisingly because I've never had a single cut where there was something sliiightly off--whether it's length, layer, or style, there was always something that would make it not perfect. HOWEVER, that was not the case with Ani. I showed Ani a picture, and wanted to do a V-shaped haircut, letting her know I still wanted to keep the length I had in the very back, and give more volume to my hair. At the end of the cut, I expected to see it shorter than I wanted or not enough layers--but no. She did everything exactly how I wanted, and it actually looked like the picture I showed her. So many stylists even try to mask what they did by curling your hair, so you can't really tell, but she did everything on point. There was no pressure to buy any products after (which seems to be the case with a lot of salons) and she was pleasant from the beginning to end. Luckily for me, I also work in the same office building and there's an additional discount for those who do. I had gone to this place for haircut service. I saw the Groupon offer which had haircut, wash and styling for $39 by G(the hairstylist) The ambience is really good.. I got layers cut. My hairstylist G did an amazing job. I loved his friendly nature and overall haircut experience. He knows his job really well and is one of the best hairstylist I have come across. He suggests you what will suit you. He was very patient and did great job with my long layers. I loved it and would recommend G to everyone who wants to have great haircut And hair salon experience. I had a very unfortunate experience with this salon. I found it via groupon and decided to try it out. I called and made an appointment for a brazilian wax. I arrived on time for my appointment only I could find it. The address doesn't say to that is inside of an office building, when I called for directions the receptionist was quite rude and spoke very rudely to me as if I should have known. This was frustrating. I arrived and checked in and she said please have a seat. Looking around there are no seats so I asked where. She looked at me incredulously and said around the corner. Thank you for being so helpful. Secondly, she said the woman I was meeting with wasn't even in. She was going to try to reach her. I then asked her for a salon menu of services as I am looking for a new place to get my hair done. She looked at me like an idiot and said we don't have one. And then said they all have different rates. Did not any time explain to me the pricing structure or how to choose a stylist. For a receptionist, this woman was very unhelpful and very rude. Finally, she comes back and says the woman I had an appointment with was not in today. Imagine my frustration to find out that not only was I treated poorly I have quite literally wasted a large portion of my day only to find out I could not get waxed. I came here on a Living Social voucher for a One-Hour Antiaging Facial, Shoulder and Scalp Massage, and Paraffin Hand Treatment, which is supposedly a $135 value. Samantha is the esthetician there and she was friendly, kind of chatty, but that's ok. I first had to fill out a questionnaire before my facial that asked for my phone numbers and address and other personal information. I didn't think much of it at the time. Then during the facial she started pushing the products they offered. I paid an additional $40 for a particular treatment because she said it was a promotional deal. When all was said and done and the facial was over, Samantha tried to get me to sign up for a prepaid 5 visit anti-aging package deal @$55/visit. Then she started to recommend Yon Ka products she thought I needed. I said no to everything she tried to sell and I left. As I was leaving she said she would text me to remind me to come back, now I know why there was a questionnaire! I seriously felt like I was at a car dealership than at a spa. Samantha talked a lot and was very fast. I just got out of a relaxing facial treatment only to be bombarded by a sales pitch. I think she is a nice person and is good at what she does but I'm not a big fan of locking myself into a package after just ONE treatment. Once I got home I realized I never got the paraffin hand treatment. Samantha just placed the warm gloves on my hands but never dipped my hands in the paraffin wax?? I always thought paraffin treatment included some type of liquid wax? Oh well, I could be wrong. I read other reviews on Yelp before I purchased this Living Social deal and they were all positive reviews so I was really looking forward to my facial and paraffin hand treatment. However I am disappointed based on my experience. I would have returned to Tease-It Studio if there wasn't that constant push to purchase more products during my visit. Rebecca cut my hair the other day and I love it. Not only is she great with the cutting scissors, she super nice and funny. Her assistant (forgot her name) is a doll also. I like this salon, it's low key and the music is not ear splitting. The only thing I don't like about the salon is the location...it's smack dab in the middle of an Irvine office complex. It's kind of hard to find it, even with a GPS and I've even been here before...I still always get turned around. When I finally locate the building and park in the structure, I enter the empty office building and bam....where do I go...is the salon upstairs, downstairs or what? This review is for the esthetic care offered by Samantha at Tease It studio. I was a mess when I came in. Mixed dry patches, random break out spots- A stressed out face. (A rigorous collegiate lifestyle will do that to you!) What Samantha did in just one session can be called a skin-care miracle. She used a variety of NATURAL products (Yon ka) to help even out my weary complexion. I place special emphasis on the word "natural", because I really dislike chemical-infused products on my skin. And how many skin lines are riddled with : -ates, -propyls, -mides, fragrance... Boo. For my moms birthday, she gave us a wonderful package. It made me so happy to help my mom FINALLY do something nice for herself. I recommend Samantha for anyone. Her demeanor is affable and the results will make you feel gorgeous! Came here because I had a gift for a facial/massage through Groupon (so worth it!). I had my facial with Samantha, and she is THE best! She's personable, sweet, and definitely takes good care of your skin. She assesses well and doesn't try to shove products down your throat. She personalizes your type of skin and tries to give you the best advice. Samantha educated me more on microdermabrasion. I've had about 3 sessions so far and I love the results! My goal is to not have to wear makeup to cover my blemishes. I'd just like to put a little layer on to keep my tone even. After a few microderm sessions, I have felt more confident not wearing makeup everywhere I go. My skin is more even toned and smooth. She really works wonders! She also makes great company while getting a facial. She's very friendly and remembers our previous convos. I love when people take the time and effort to do that. Means a lot! Chaz is the man at Teaze It Studio. We have had lots of fun going from blonde, to red, to stripes, and back to red again. Chaz likes to have fun with hair so don't be shy to try something new with him at the wheel. He is a master at color and does not disappoint with the cut. The salon validates parking, but make sure you leave some extra time to walk from the parking structure, unlike me who is always 5-10 late. I've been having my hair done by Guillermo since he was as Jose Eber. He is an absolute perfectionist, takes lots of time to make sure the cut is perfect, and he is the ONLY stylist who has ever been able to properly blow dry my thick coarse hair. Guillermo is the absolute best hairdresser I've ever been to -- and I have been to MANY in pursuit of the perfect hair cut. I often can go 3 months without a hair cut because it keeps it's shape for so long. Guillermo is always up on the latest styles and even cut my daughter's hair in the MOST adorable pixie cut when she was only 2 years old. OMG, it was so flippin cute. I've been going to a different place for 6 years and I'm not one to change things up, but someone recommended me and I ended up getting a haircut from Chino. I must say, it's the best haircut I've ever gotten. My hair is very long and thick so I usually have them thin out my hair, trim and layer. The thinning out process was done perfectly! I used to hate feeling like I needed to get a haircut every 2-3 months from my usual girl. It's been over 4 months (maybe longer) and I still don't feel the need to get one. I've been going to Justin Dillon since 2004, with the exception of when he moved to San Francisco for a year or so. When he moved back to Orange County, he joined Tease It Studio earlier this year. This Salon is fantastic. If you are looking for a very professional Salon where all of the stylists take their craft seriously, this is the place! All of the stylists on the team are either from Vidal Sassoon or Jose Eber (or both), and they are absolute masters of their trade. I cannot say enough GOOD things about Justin Dillon. He is the only person that really gets my hair texture, and he is the only person that I trust to cut it. I get nothing but compliments on my many hair styles that I've had with Justin, and because he gives me such wonderful haircuts it is very easy for me to make my hair salon perfect every day. If you are looking for a stylist that will give you the best haircut possible to flatter your bone structure GO TO JUSTIN. This review is for Samantha who performed a soft wax Brazilian on me. Let's get to the point here.  Samantha un-sanitarily double dipped the waxing instruments as well as carelessly left a good amount of hair on the service area, which inconveniently causes me to come back for a second time. As if that wasn't bad enough, she refused to clean the serviced area even when I asked her to remove any leftover wax before I left the studio as it happened the first time around. She said "Don't worry, there's no wax left." Mind you, she did not even attempt to clean the area after she redo it. I came home that night with skin sticking to the wax which cause rashes and a great amount of itchiness. I've been waxing for years and the this the worst experience I've ever had, yes, worse than my first time having a Brazilian! Don't say I didn't warn you. read more

Overrated and overpriced. I was so excited to go to this salon only to be paired with the owner, what a mistake. I asked for a trim, he pushed for a cut and explained my hair was too long. what the heck? i should have walked out THEN, but noooooo, because he said he worked at top salons and knew this and that and that blunt cuts were his thing. i explained i was trying to grow my hair longer and just needed to even out the ends. just a blunt cut, no crazy trendy stuff. he said "of course." i was unable to see what he was doing because he faced me opposite the mirror. Once he blow dried my hair he started trimming more, claiming he was cleaning things up. If he is a seasoned pro, he wouldn't need to do that. And then busts out the flat iron - NO ONE flat irons my hair. I don't know what planet this guy is living in, but my hair looked like straw when he was done. I felt like I was in an Afflac commercial. He took 3 inches off my hair!!!!!! that is 6 months worth of growth!!!! what English does this person understand? I said trim!!!! I found out about this Salon through a Living Social deal. I purchased a facial. Samantha is the esthetician and after one session I had dramatic results. I came in, in a panic, because my face was really breaking out. She took the time to evaluate my face, skin type, products I was using, and my diet. The first session really helped. Don't get me wrong, when I initially walked out, my face was red and swollen from extractions (so don't plan an event right after), but after a couple days, my face was smooth. She was able to recommend products from the line Yon Ka, which have also really helped my skin. I did by a package that was offered from her, but it was mainly so I can be committed to getting facials regularly. I've been back twice since my initial visit and see improvements after every session. Each session she does offer additional treatments that do cost more, but you can say no and she's fine with it. I would refer anyone looking for an esthetician to see Samantha. Lastly, the location is not easy to find initially, but the receptionist is really helpful in guiding you and even coming out to get you when you look lost. Parking is validated so you don't have to worry about paying for parking. read more

And it was supposed to be a 75-minutes, Anti-aging Facial plus mini message, but I was done within barely 1 hour. Some steps were cut-short or skipped. I bought a voucher from Amazon Local for a facial at Tease it Studio & Spa. Generally you have to book your appointment several weeks in advance especially when a Groupon, Living Social, or Amazon Local deal go out. I anticipated for the phone to ring several times but I was surprised when the receptionist Jared picked up the phone within 2 rings and got me an appointment the same week! I got lost finding their studio and when I called for direction, Jared gave me a detailed turn-by-turn direction how to find their studio. Once I arrived, I was greeted by Samantha - the Aesthetician. My facial was very good and relaxing. She took the time to examine my skin and recommended a different facial that will benefit me better than what I had originally paid for. I loved my facial with Samantha that I returned the following week for a massage with her. As we were chatting, I told her that I haven't gotten a hair cut over a year because my hair stylist in Fullerton always overbooks and I didn't have the time to wait most of the time I was there. Samantha recommended one of their stylist at the studio and hooked me up with a great price. Guillermo cut all my split ends and gave me a fresh look. He's very handy with the brush and the hair dryer. Its like watching an artist creating a masterpiece. I love my new hair cut (it's been nearly 2 weeks since the hair cut and I still love it). My overall experience at Tease it Studio & Spa has been positive from customer service to service goods. Jared, Samantha, and Guillermo were amazing. I just had a facial with Samantha on a deal from Amazon local and it was very relaxing. It was a FULL hour with scalp, arm, neck and shoulder massage! The facial room is small, but comfy and the skin care products are Yon Ka - nice! The salon is located on the lower level of a big office bld, so you have to park in the multi-level lot and get your ticket validated. I am writing this because my hair was so easy to style this morning, and it looks like hair I see on the movie stars! I had my hair done by Rebecca at Tease It in Irvine. The layers she cut frame my face perfectly, I didn't need an iron to get the ends to curl under and it is so silky; my color and highlights are so soft-looking and natural. It was well worth the money, I will be back for my next appointment soon because she listened to what I wanted and paid attention. So, it's the new year. 2013. New year = new hair. It was time for change and it was all meant to be. I was browsing Orange Coast Magazine at work one day, when I stumbled upon an article about Guillermo at Tease It Studio... The name of the salon sounded so familiar to me, and then I figured out that it was the hair salon located downstairs from my work! Totally convenient. I called and a very friendly receptionist got me set up to meet with Guillermo that week. G was able to service me during my lunch break! Don't be fooled by the muscles - this guy does very intricate and detailed work when it comes to hair. You can tell by the way he works that he has a lot of skill. 45 minutes later, I got the perfect hair cut to start off the new year! Thank you so much, G! I will be coming back :D read more
