This is regarding the parking situation and not the field. I frequent the shopping complex next…read moredoor. Between going to the market and having dinner at pizza chalet on the weekends. My issue is, every time theres a game, everyone is parked in that complex. I can understand if majority of businesses are closed, but the main businesses are open. Took me almost 20 minutes to find parking one night. All i was trying to do was have dinner with my family. The city needs to figure something out. Its not fair that we have to deal with that. As it is, the people are so anxious to get to the game, they are rude and cut you off.

Easily the BEST stadium in the San Gabriel Valley! Covina District Field is one of the oldest…read moresports facilities in the area, holding a significant historical value. District Field was originally Covina High School's football stadium until the school moved to it's current, larger campus off of Hollenbeck Ave. in 1957. Since then, the stadium has served as the District Field for Northview, South Hills, and Covina High School. After the passing of Measure CC in 2012, the Covina-Valley Unified School District demolished the facility in 2014 to completely renovate it. Construction was completed a year later in 2015, just in time to host the district's high school graduation ceremonies. However after the 2015 graduation ceremonies, construction slowly continued on the multi-purpose building located directly next to the field. This building would house the ticket booths, concessions, team rooms, restrooms, the field's first ever video screen, and an all-new multi-purpose banquet room facility on the second floor. The construction at Covina District Field was finally 100% completed in February 2017 and since then has seen tremendous use. The renovations not only brought the facility into the 21st century, with the use astroturf and new technology, but also allowed for the district to make the facility as usable as possible. Covina District Field is perfectly equipped to host Track & Field meets, Football games, and Soccer games. It also sets a new standard for a high school sports stadium as a whole. The new multi-purpose building maxes out the stadium's usability. It can host meetings, community events, banquets, ceremonies, and much more. Also, as part of the 2014-2017 demolition and renovations, the City of Covina even built a brand new public park in the back corner of the site which includes a small community center, children's playground, splash pad and water spray feature, community garden, historical mural, benches, picnic area, and parking lot. Out of all the great things about this stadium, there are only two negatives to it. One, The discus (throwing) ring is located too close to the track, making the cage surrounding the ring hard to throw out of. Two, depending on the event, there has never been a lot of parking available, being that there is not a lot of extra land on the site to accommodate the needed amount of parking. Unfortunately this problem was unable to be fixed during the renovation/expansion. Luckily, parking is always available at Covina High School and is less than 5 minuets walking distance to the field. Overall, Covina District Field is both absolutely beautiful and incredibly useful. Definitely one of the best places to be for sporting events.
