Worst customer service. They pretend to be nice but they just want to hoax your money.

My siblings and I hired Pearl Rose Academy to evaluate my 91yo mother's driving. We had our concerns. Brandon understood and took mom on as a client. They spent 5 hours together and we ended up being reassured that all is safe for our mom, for now. Brandon called me after each lesson and gave me details about mom's skill set. Mom agreed for us to do this and she ended up loving Brandon. We will call Pearl Rose in a year or two or if we see a decline in mom's ability to be safe for herself and others on the road.As you can predict, taking away a parent's right to drive is a hard responsibility. We want mom to have the objective, professional input from Brandon so she can make her own decision when the time comes. We also have the info from Brandon to fairly and objectively determine if mom is safe on the road or not and then make the hard decision if mom decides to drive past her clear capacity to do so. Thanks, Brandon for being professional, compassionate, and smart about safe driving.

I came to learn about The Driving Institute, earlier in the year in January - I had a relatively bad experience with another Driving School, after 10hrs of road experience with that school... I was left with no confidence in any of my skills and I barely got any feedback. I booked myself in originally for 2hrs behind the wheel private lessons (which after I passed my driving test - I added in a further 2hrs later in the year to gain some confidence with Interstate and Highway driving), and I must say from the moment I contacted Miranda at The Driving Institute, I was greeted with nothing but friendliness and professionalism. I had my lessons with Mr Rossi [The 2hrs were split into 1hr sessions] and I have to say just after 2hrs, my confidence rose to further than what it was after 10hrs with my previous instructor. He fixed any issues I had within seconds with such simple techniques. He's a great teacher and he knows his stuff! It was well worth my drive from Richardson just for the lessons - I couldn't recommend anyone better to get you ready for these fast and furious Texas roads.

First I want to start off by warning you that it's almost impossible to schedule driving times as they have grossly oversold the program. It took over a week for them to even get us a log in after taking my $412. When I finally got a log in of course they are booked up for 2 weeks so our first lesson was not until 5/30 and that had to be scheduled on a "cancellation". I quickly realized they were horrible to deal with and asked for a refund which they would NOT honor. Honestly you need to set an alarm on Monday evenings at 8pm to log in to a session that is "more than 7 days from your last lesson". This is so they can scam more people by over selling the program. So for instance if you have a lesson at 9am Monday you cannot schedule your next session until after 9am the following week on Tuesday. (That's if you log in at 8pm Monday evening to schedule as they ONLY release the following week on Monday immediately forcing you to be a week behind scheudling once you sign up. Don't forget the Monday evening as by all the slots are will be booked by Tuesday morning! If you are out of luck and had a conflict Monday evening you are forced to wait on a cancellation list to get a slot. Now lets discuss our first lesson. Well guess what the other student driver no showed which inconvenience due because we planned for a 2 hour lesson that was only one hour of driving and we had to then reschedule another time to do a 1 hour observation because he couldn't just sit and watch the instructor drive around? Why were we inconvenienced for someone else not showing up? They kept referencing some instruction email that was NEVER sent to us. After all the hassle we finally got the 14 hours completed and then had to drive to Roanoke (we live in Colleyville and signed up in Grapevine) to sign a drivers education certificate in person? Not sure why It couldn't be compelled via docusign considering they electronically signed the document. Why are they forcing a client who signed up in Grapevine to drive to Roanoke for a wet signature? Upon arriving I only received more poor customer service when the woman didn't like the way our Aceable drivers ed completed certificate was printed. Claiming "the instruction was again in my email" and the "log needs to be transferred to them" Long story, but again I DO NOT recommend this company until they improve customer service and stop over selling the program. Anyone should be able to schedule a service after paying without jumping through hoops.

The instructors have always shown up on time. Sometimes the other student (who your student should observe) doesn't show, but that isn't really a problem with Right Start. In those cases, your kid can just set up another observation time. I came here to compliment their driving instructor, Ray. My son was really nervous about driving. After 2 times driving with Ray, he gained SO much confidence. I really appreciated how he managed the driving lessons. So grateful!!

I would not recommend based off my experience. A couple reasons:…read more 1. Less than favorable Availability. For driving sessions, the turn around time is at the minimum 2 weeks out. This would allow at most 2 driving sessions per month. However, there were also a number of months where there was no availability at all. The reasoning varied between, the drivers haven't opened up their schedule and the drivers not wanting to schedule due to so many cancellations. In addition to all that, then you have the usual closures during the holiday months. A combination of all those events made it extremely difficult to complete the requirements during the 12 month period. Right start was happy to extend the contract for a fee however. 2. Unprofessional driving instructors. To be specific my son's complaints were only related to Ray. To start, he completely shot down my son's confidence by recommending he first have more experience driving before signing up for another driving session/class. The audacity. My son took Ray's words to heart and we took the initiative to teach my son to drive. Ray also feels it appropriate to speak about politics during his driving sessions with teens. Speaking on various topics including deportation and other racially sensitive items. 3. Outdated systems for tracking, scheduling and data retention 4. Inconsistent hours - being told office is open till 6. Arrive at 4:50 and it's closed. An instructor arrives as I was waiting around and stated the office closes around 5 pm. \_o_/ *hands up lol There were other grievances but I'll leave all that out.
