I can't sing Betsy's praises loud enough!! She was phenomenal to work with and I will always use…read moreher services when it comes time for buying again (hopefully no time soon though!). I met Betsy through a family member who had used her to sell her house back in 2019. We were going to buy then, but life had other plans and we had to put housing on the back burner. She never stopped sending us Christmas cards and touching base twice a year- I never felt like she was being pushy, just to catch up and give us an update on the market. In January 2023, we found a house and next thing we know we are under contract! As first time homebuyers, we were extremely anxious about the whole process and Betsy was such a positive and calming force of nature to have as we navigated the real estate market in Raleigh. She was quick in her responses and always kept my husband and I in the loop with anything that was happening. She was always willing to meet us at the house to show our parents and get their opinions on it. I never felt like she was just trying to make a sale, I always felt like I could call or text her whenever I had questions come up (which was often) and she was always so thorough in her answers.

I went to view a home that Betsy was the seller's agent for. She was extremely professional in showing me the home, and since I didn't have an agent, she ultimately recommended I find a buyer's agent for that home if I were to buy it. Although she could act as the buyer's and seller's agent in the same sale, she wanted to make sure each side had a neutral party to represent their interests. I really respected that. Ultimately that home wasn't the right option for me, but I reached out to Betsy about a different home I was interested in. It was being sold by Opendoor, so I had already viewed it. Even though she wasn't "required" to, she went and viewed the home so she could assess it before we moved forward. As a first time home buyer, I really appreciated it! The home buying process from there was made extremely easy by her, Sarah, and the lender she recommended (Cindy at Resource Financial). Betsy and Sarah were super communicative throughout the process and helped me figure out the right offer price. If I buy or sell another house in the future, I'll definitely work with Betsy!

When I told her I had spoken with other real estate agents with regard to selling my home, and would be selecting one of them as my agent since they had done some preliminary work for me, she stated that she was the best real estate agent to represent me in the sale of my house and I should educate myself on what a successful real estate agent she is. My relative steered us to Amy Shair for two reasons: First, because Amy holds the prestigious CRS designation, which can only be earned after rigorous training and many years in the field. And second, because when she called, Amy answered the phone herself each time, and was very responsive to calls, texts and emails. Amy has exceeded our expectations in every way. She walked us through each step, and was never impatient if we had to ask for clarification on an issue. She thoroughly knows the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill-Triangle area. Further, she has seen the region develop during her 30 years as a realtor, so she can give insights as to the history, and help predict trends for future resales. She created a list of a dozen homes in our price range to see what our preferences were. Never did we feel pressured to decide. When we settled on a home, she used trusted referrals to guide us to the end.

Her warm and welcoming personality really made us feel comfortable. We reached out to Christy while planning a trip to NC and coordinated multiple days of showings. By the end of the week, we had found the perfect home for our family, put in an offer, and negotiated with the sellers' agent to get exactly what we wanted. In fact, we signed the deal on the plane ride home! The closing of our new home and our move coincided with the beginning of the quarantine, so it presented many complications. Thanks to Christy and Lezlie, it all worked out perfectly. Christy was able to help us adapt as we were forced to close long distance, and did the walk-through for us via Facetime. She even got multiple quotes for us to handle minor repairs, coordinated handyman and cleaning services while we were unable to be in the area, and periodically checked on the house until we got there. To top it all off, she was regularly checking in on us personally to make sure everything was going well throughout. We HIGHLY recommend Christy! And we absolutely love our new home here in Cary, NC!

As you know there are so many moving parts and challenges to getting a house ready to be put on the market. Christy was there for me every step of the way helping provide guidance and resources to ensure my house was in the best possible condition to sell during these hard times. My house closed March 25th, 2020 and as we are aware these are not the best times to try and sell a home. With that said her and her team were able to guide me in a way that allowed me to get full asking price within 21 days of being on the market. I am truly grateful. And if getting a house ready to be put on the market isn't hard enough closing the deal during these times is significantly harder. I was so impressed with her ability to negotiate the deal and ensure that I was able to get full asking price post due diligence period. After the inspection was completed she was able to work through each item with the buyers and maintain that the asking price was in line with the condition of the home. In addition to negotiations she provided significant guidance and support for me when closing the loop with builders, manufactures, and insurance companies to ensure the few things that needed to get done were completed allowing us to close on time. Christy's experience in this market coupled with her professionalism eased what is normally a long stressful process. Her effort and results made it an easy decision to use her and KW Lagacy to also purchase the home i am currently living as well. Again, I cannot speak highly enough about how she approaches her job and what she brings to this process. You cannot hire a better realtor for this market!!!
