Brandon teaches most of the classes but occasionally one of the fighters will teach - all good and they follow in his style. The gym also offers multiple classes for different levels - Muay Thai, Sparring, Clinch, Boxing, BJJ w Gi, BJJ no-gi, wrestling, and yoga (on Sundays). The owner and instructors CARE and that is hard to find now a days. They make every family feel like they matter and have a voice. They don't just let your kids move up in belt because you pay the fee. They actually teach them what is needed and they have to work for it. Their classes have helped my son with his discipline and helps him release all the extra energy he can't during regular school hours. If you miss a class they will allow you to make it up as long as you inform them. The workout classes for adults are amazing. No Judgment zone and allows you to work at your own pace. They motivate you and hold you accountable. I am not a fit person and in 2 months I was able to not only lose some weight and inches, but actually enjoyed working out. They offer Zumba, NJHITT, and Kickboxing classes. They also have Nerf night for parents where you pay a small fee and you can leave your kids there for 3 hours playing with dinner included. They teach you fundamentals here but let you express whatever motions in a guided way so you're not thinking so hard about what to do but rather just releasing the stress. I love the floor to ceiling bags (as opposed to the hanging water ones) and the soft flooring is so comfortable. I also have to mention they clean this place multiple times per day - a dedicated crew cleaning and fixing things why it's always immaculate. I'm not sure if they officially own upstairs at 9th Street gym too but that is the best body builders gym in Hoboken. I only took a star off because the staff can be a little cold / unfriendly sometimes.
