Event Date: 01/15/2023 Time: 1-4pm…read more Love this venue. Over a month ago, I was looking for a venue to host my son's 1st Birthday. Ultimately, I selected Wee Gather because of the services they offered and the excellent reviews on Yelp. I originally requested January 8th as the party date, but Sierra (my party coordinator) said this date was no longer available and suggested January 15th, which I booked. I had the Custom Gathering which included venue rental for two hours (I paid $125 for an extra hour, for a total of three hours), setup + clean up, tables + chairs, themed event design + styling + decorating of event space, coordinator for the planning process, themed decor + serve water, balloon garland w/custom colors, flowers, coffee bar, fully stocked mini fridge, use of projector and patio area, and access to additional furnishings (which will have extra fees depending on what you rent). This info is from the from Wee Gather website. I booked the space on 12/2/22, a little over a month before the event (01/15/23). At the time of booking, the Custom Gathering w/extra hour + rental of cooler cost me $1,150 ($975 for the Custom Gathering, $125 the extra hour, and $50 for the cooler rental). On the website, the Custom Gathering now starts at $1,299. My party coordinator, Sierra Mathews, was excellent in executing the Super Mario theme of my son's 1st Birthday Party and was super responsive whenever I had inspiration pictures or any small changes to the proposal. I even toured the venue a couple of weeks before the event. Sierra, Oceana, and Amber decorated the space so beautifully and was so gracious to help my family and I bring in the food we had catered from various restaurants of my choosing (you can also request catering from Wee Gather, who most likely have connections to caterers). The projector came in handy because I made a PowerPoint with transitions to show the growth of my son over the year and also the speaker for the music. If you are looking for an awesome space to host a kid's birthday or baby shower, this is the place. The cost is totally worth it because I am a busy mom and Sierra and her team literally did everything, I just provided the inspiration photos for the them. All the guests had a good time and loved the theme. Although my son was a little fussy throughout the party (not used to so many people), I think he secretly enjoyed the party. Thank you again Sierra, Oceana, and Amber! :-) Most Photos were taken by Sierra, only one was taken by me.

Here's the revised version:…read more The owner contacted me and offered a free event, which I declined, requesting a refund instead. She then offered a 20% refund and asked me to change my review, which I again declined. She claimed that despite paying for full event planning services, the event was subpar because I hadn't been involved in planning it. They didn't call. They didn't ask me to go their warehouse. They didn't do anything until the week of the event, when they tried to fit me into their random available times to walk them through my space via FaceTime. To clarify, I paid $2,000 for someone to plan and orchestrate an event. What I received was maybe a $200-$300 setup, and it's apparently my fault for not planning the event I paid someone to plan. She argued that I should have requested changes during the setup. However, I wasn't home at the time. The whole point of hiring this service was to arrive at a fully set-up event with my guests. When I arrived, they were still setting up as my guests were arriving (even though they were supposed to have been gone by then). So, there wasn't time to make changes, and it would have been an awkward conversation anyway. Instead of blaming me, they should have done the job they were paid to do or not sold the package in the first place. To add insult to injury, she compared this situation to eating a pizza and then requesting a refund. This was over $2k. It's not even close to ordering a pizza and asking for a refund. She ripped me off. I stand by my request for a full refund. She should have offered that refund on her own. This event was pitiful. I will never use their services again or recommend them to anyone.

I sent her a message, and she replied quickly. We had an initial Skype consultation. she asked me some questions on the style and material of the invitation cards, place cards welcome sign and based on my budget she came up with a schedule and itemized plans. Since we were getting married in Balboa park, I wanted our invitation card to have a sketch of one of Balboa Park's iconic Museums. Claudia came up with several mock up sketches to chose from. Her price was reasonable and she immediately captured my vision. Deadlines were met and Claudia did an amazing job. Our guests had nothing but positive comments to make on the little detail touches on the invitation card and place cards. I would highly recommend Claudia as she is very sweet to work with and you can trust her with any of your stationary needs.

I found Yvanna through social media. Her pics and decor looked amazing. I booked an appointment and…read moreshe seemed super on point and well organized. I decided to book with her for my wedding. We coordinated for about a year and things seemed to go smooth. She seemed to capture my vision. She is very well versed. However, things went down hill towards the end. the closer we got to my wedding , her response time was not the best. I found myself anxious and unsure when I asked for updates. My portal was never updated on the additions I made. Her attention to detail is not what she tries to sell. The day of the wedding came and my bouquet was NOT what I had sent her. It didn't even incorporate my wedding color. My bridesmaids bouquets looked wilted. The men's boutonnières had some ugly ribbon that I asked to be removed. I never decided on that look. Plus after requesting additional ones, they were not added so some of the bridal party did not have boutonnières. The coordination was horrible at the reception. I completely put my money and my wishes in her hands for my most special day only to have to be looking for her half the time. I had to call her at one point cuz she was no where in sight. Even after arriving early after pictures The grand entrance started late. She didn't have my bridal parties names after she had asked for all that info and was provided on her website. She had to write it down the day of for the MC. The late start was due to the band not being able to connect their sound but we had a dj also who was ready so I don't know why the delay even happened tbh. That pushed us back almost an hour. The food was served late. Her food tasting did not match the food the day of the wedding. Although cooked on site I had guests later tell me their food was cold, the beef had too much fat, the waiters were rude. My vendors kept asking me and other guests for food constantly because they were not served! Even after guests had eaten. All the important wedding events like bouquet / garter toss, cake cutting, dollar dance were super late I had little to no guests left I had to constantly tell her I wanted to do them already. Everything that I purchased separately i labeled where it went and what it was for to make it easier for her and placed in a container for her and her team to either do or put out and was explained beforehand. I was told it would get done but it didn't. My table decor was not what I asked for. I had asked for hurricane vase candles and they were not put. So I'm not sure why I paid what I paid for candles ? The ones she put out were from the dollar tree because I've seen them there. I had a backdrop I asked her to put up. It was left in the box and not put up. Then my box was taken. My memory wall was not decorated how I envisioned. The candles I bought were not placed with the pictures it was literally a naked wall w pics smh. My bouquet was given to her at the wedding, after handing it to her and telling her I wanted to preserve it still and her assuring me she would put it in water only to later find out she handed it to an assistant and She ended up taking it to her warehouse and I got it back 4 days after the wedding of course in horrible condition. It couldn't be salvaged anymore. My party favors were never placed on tables even after the sun had gone down. My cake was not cut and passed out. No one got cake!!! I didn't let it ruin my night but I wish I would have read some of the negative comments on here first because her coordination is terrible. Sure her decor is nice but also didn't meet my expectations and what was asked / told would be delivered. I had many guests later reach out to me with negative comments on the coordination part and that they had to actually go look for her as well to try and help out because they didn't want to bother me or my groom during the wedding event. Apparently other guests had requests or concerns and I didn't know until after the wedding. Super embarrassing to hear. Nice girl but shouldn't offer what she can't deliver. Maybe it was too much on her plate and she needs some extra assistance. I suggest she gets more help if she can't do it all. Not worth my money IMO.

I was told one hour before the party, so I followed their recommendation and scheduled delivery for 10am. At 10:10am, with no one there, I called to ask for an update. The person I spoke with was incredibly rude and said she would try to reach the driver and call me back. Twenty minutes later, I still had not heard anything, so I called again. At that point I was told that I had signed terms and conditions allowing them a much larger window to arrive. After the fact, I actually went back and read the 9 page agreement. It does say that the company is not responsible for delivery and pickup delays, but I could not find the larger delivery window I was told on the phone that I had agreed to. Regardless, I had specifically asked their staff what time I should schedule delivery for an 11am party and followed the one hour recommendation they gave me. The bounce house finally arrived at 10:54am, six minutes before the party started. Thankfully it got set up, but having no idea whether the main attraction for a children's birthday party would even be there when guests arrived made an already hectic morning incredibly stressful. The setup was also poorly thought out. Both the blower and generator were positioned facing directly toward the party area, making that entire side so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation. We ended up having to reposition things ourselves just to make the space usable. Pickup was scheduled for 3pm, and unfortunately the communication was no better. No one arrived, my repeated calls went to voicemail because the line was "busy," and I received no response to the voicemail I left. Eventually the driver called and said he was still 17 minutes away. At that point I had a baby and toddler who needed to get home, so I told him I could no longer wait, and he said that was fine. A few days later, I received an email notifying me that they had issued a partial refund because of the experience. I genuinely appreciate that they acknowledged there was a problem and provided a partial refund. However, considering everything that happened, I think a phone call and an apology would have gone a long way. The bounce house itself was fine. The issue was the service, communication, and reliability surrounding it. There are plenty of rental companies to choose from, and based on this experience, I would choose a different one next time.
