We spent many weeks sampling food trucks and discussing our ideas with a few of them. When I heard Pasion Latin Fusion had recently acquired the taco truck I was ecstatic!! PLF is by far one of my favorite local eateries. We met with Elvis a few times before our wedding and he just gave us that warm fuzzy feeling you want when you're planning this once in a lifetime event. He is passionate about what he does and it definitely showed during the planning process. With his help we put together a fantastic menu that only cost us $17 per person. You really can't find that anywhere else when you're looking to serve fresh food in a timely manner to 100 people. They did a great display of appetizers, provided homemade aqua frescas, and managed to deliver the entrees in record timing. We heard nothing but wonderful things from all our guests! We offered bacon wrapped plantains and chips and guac for apps. For entrees we offered the pork arepas, fish tacos, and chicken stew. Everything was delicious. I'll admit I was leaning towards 4 stars because of a couple of small issues day of the wedding - But I have to cut them some slack, we were only the 2nd wedding they'd catered. The staff was patient, friendly, and helpful. The food didn't take very long at all, but that could be because there was only one other party of guests there - although other pupusa places have taken much longer to prepare the food regardless. We ordered a variety of pupusas and they were all made fresh to order with creamy melted cheese oozing out as we cut into them - way more cheese than normal and very delicious. They all had different flavors based on the filling and were all delicious, but we really enjoyed the rajas (poblanos) and zucchini the most. The plantains were nice and soft and delicious and the masa in the corn tamale was amazingly soft and moist, but the crema they brought with it was not sweet at all - which didn't take away from it at all, but it said it would be sweet. The tomato soup on the side was nice and spicy and running, easily poured onto the pupusas as desired, and the cabbage was refreshing and perfect. Since their business name includes "taco" I had to try them out. I have to say that their tacos are very good with my favorite being the tripitas. I was also curious about their burgers since those seem to be an item that people get. I ordered the monster burger which is a Mexican style burger loaded with all kinds of goodies including winnies and ham. My description of it doesn't do it justice so take a look at my pics. Their tacos are very good but you also need to try one of their burgers, especially if you have a monster appetite.
