If I could put zero star I would. The tacos here are NOT what they used to be ! Horrible seasoning. Tortillas are cold and they give you ONE salsa for 4 tacos. The pastor is NOT pastor I'm sorry. Stumbled by this place on accident and what a happy accident it was. Currently moving cross country and stopped for gas. While there we noticed something smelled incredible. We headed to Los Puchunguis shortly after. It was a man and women team. Both so generous and helpful. I got a burrito with buche and my husband with al pastor. Soooo good. We had a vegetable soup and some birria tacos. Incredible!! I'm lactose intolerant but risked it all. No regrets. Make sure to stop here for some good food. read more

This isn't authentic Mexican food, it's white washed Mexican food. Ordered an asada burrito without reading because burritos everywhere are the same at real Mexican places. Paid $13 cash because they don't accept cards. First bite I realized I messed up picking this place.. Usually the first bite is cilantro and onions with beans and rice, 2nd bite you get the meat and everything mixed. it had no chopped cilantro or onion but instead a lot of lettuce and tomatoes (only white people put lettuce and tomatoes in their burritos) with one long green onion in the middle that wasn't even cooked right.. The asada has a weird taste. They serve the burrito on a plate with 3-5 round and thick American tortilla chips (just like the ones you get when you go to a gas station and get nachos ), and 1/4 slice of a pickled jalapeño. The green salsa which kind of looks like an avocado salsa is like green runny water and has no flavor, it's just spice. They also charge extra for one slice of ‍. I don't recommend this place at all. My wife was telling me about a Taco truck that served very good tacos down in the South Valley. We decided to check it out but she couldn't remember exactly where it was located at the time. I decided to locate another one and found Los Puchunguis at a Microtel hotel off of 98th street. This is my first time trying a Taco truck but not trying the different tacos out there. I always wanted to try a Pastor taco and this place had it. I ordered two Asada tacos, one Pastor and one Barbacoa taco. The price for each taco was $2.50. Not bad I thought. It took about 25 minutes to make and it looked pretty busy since we were ninth in line for our order. Once we received the order, my wife saw that the tortilla was bigger and had more meat on it than the place she went to previously. The tacos come with an orange chili and green chili in plastic containers. For garnish, it had pieces of radish and cucumber. The Pastor taco had pork meat that was orange in color and cilantro on a corn tortilla. It was succulent and had a tangy flavor to it. The Asada taco and Barbacoa taco also packed a lot of flavor.
