They originally came out to trim our palm tree fronds but after the long freeze determined the palms had died. They were able to take them down same day. Guys were great, able to safely take the palms down with only removing a section of fence. Very knowledgeable and made quick work of it. read more

Received coupon for 20% off so decided to give them a try. Tracy (sp?) came out and gave me a quote the same day! Shocking. I was pleasantly surprised. He answered all my question and gave me a reasonable quote. I decided to book services. They were booked out almost a month. Judy from the office called several times to check on the quote, schedule the appointment and to confirm the appointment when it got closer. She was also very pleasant and helpful. I referred them to a friend in Castle Hills that was looking for some trees trimmed as well...and all of this before they even came to do work at my house. She thought they were a little pricy, but she had power lines involved with her job. The day of, the group was EARLY-say what? My crew was Brandon, Charlie, Edgar and Victor. (sorry if I got that wrong guys!...that's what I could remember!). They were quick, thorough, and polite. They were all wearing masks (important with Covid running around). They thinned out and raised two of my oaks up front. They sealed all the cuts and cleaned up the yard (even blowing the leaves from the driveway). Brandon pointed out some issue with the oak up front that I should keep an eye on as well. Out back they cut the large overhanging branches from the hackberry trees that are in the city greenbelt that grow over my property. Again, cleaning up their work. These guys did an awful job. On the larger branches that they cut, they did not apply sealer. They did not seem well equipped for the job and also used what seem to be day laborers. The crew that arrived included guys with face tattoos. These are not the kind of guys that I expected to show up. read more

Tried these folks after seeing a coupon in the paper. I have to rate them 2 for a couple of reasons: While their response for an estimate was prompt and efficient, the follow- on scheduling was painfully slow. Lucky for them, I work from home so when they did finally schedule, I was flexible. The crew showed up promptly and did an OK job, but for a service that features "tree" prominently in their name, I was not overly impressed. I had to nurture them along on how to best shape the tree (believe me, I'm no arborist) and most of their trimming ended up snapping the branches off versus cleanly cutting them. While it may suffice, it's something I'd expect from kids out and about for summer work instead of a pro tree service. They did clean up the area well after completion. But they also left several cuts untreated and subject to insect infestation unless I spray them myself. read more

Have had them out twice now. Both times they have showed up on time, and work was completed. They do most of their own cleanup, but usually there's an item or two left behind (hence the 4 vs 5 stars). Still, they are the best of the folks we've had out, and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

We have used Teague's for our tree trimming and some complete tree/stump removal needs twice and would highly recommend their services. Plan ahead for scheduling since they are pretty busy~kind of like your doctor these days! Worth the wait and extremely fair pricing. Crews are exceptionally talented at what they do. I had a very tall tallow tree close to the house and they safely removed even the highest large limbs. Do they clean up? Got a quote from here, work included trimming my neighbors tree that over hung my roof. After I got quote my neighbor called to get a quote to trim the same tree. We both set up to have work done. We were both charged for work on same tree. When I called to discuss this with them I was told that because the limbs on my side of the yard required more cutting I was charged for that portion of the work even though it wasn't my tree. I was also told that my neighbors tree reqired more extensive trimmimg on my side of the fence, crew spent about an hour doing work, was going to get a quote for removing another tree in my yard but I will be finding someone else for that future work. They also insinuated that because I had a new truck parked in my driveway I could afford the tree trimming price. Not sure why what I drive would have anything to do with how they charge. I would recommend getting someone else to do tree trimming. read more

I have been uniformly impressed with Teague's Trees. I have used them several times over the years. Their promptness, professionalism, and courtesy were absolutely first-rate. What particularly impressed me was what they were able to do with the tree in my front yard. It had become droopy and so thick that the grass would not grow under it. I truly did not see how they would be able to solve both problems while keeping a good shape to the tree, but they did. It was as much artistic sculpturing as tree trimming! In talking with them, I found that they are just as much sticklers about the things I did not notice--like ensuring that every cut is properly sealed. Teague's Tree Service is fantastic. This was the second time we had used them. We had scheduled to have a large hackberry tree removed in April. Mother Nature had other plans and strong storms in March brought the tree crashing down through our patio and into our pool. We called Teague's and left a message, expecting that many others had experienced storm damage and we would hear from them in a few days. They called back within a few hours and informed us they would be out that afternoon. I was expecting them to come out and look, but they came out to start the difficult work of removing the tree and debris. They started with three guys, but due to the complexity and challenge of removing the tree from the pool, Teague's added 5 more guys. These guys worked tirelessly, and worked together to remove the tree. A few even got into the pool to get the large pieces of trunk out. They were professional, competent and efficient. Even though it was after 6 in the evening, they didn't leave until ALL of the debris were removed and the area cleaned up. I would highly recommend Teague's for both emergency and routine tree maintenance and will be using them in the future. From the initial phone call to have someone come and give me an estimate through the clean-up of all refuse left following the cutting, everything that was accomplished was fantastic. When Berry came to evaluate what was to be done, he was very profession and listened to what we had in mind. He then offered constructive suggestions that enhanced our desires and resulted in our trees looking really great. When the men came to do the actual cutting, Berry returned and told them in detail what branches were to be cut from our oak trees and the location where those cuts would be done. Each branch was cut to specifications and not a twig was left in the yard once all of the clean-up had been finished. I cannot tell you if their cost for this effort was expensive or inexpensive as I did not do "low-bid contracting." However, for what they did, I am well pleased for the amount the changed and had no problem in giving them the check for the amount. Teague's Tree Service will be my tree service for future projects. Like the other English review, I too had to wait for weeks for service. They trimmed 2 trees for me, one in the front yard and the other in the back. The two man crew showed up a half hour early for our appointment, and cleaned up the yards. Though I'm happy with the trimming result, on both trees, they neglected to treat any of the cuts. Another Arborist, doing my neighbors' trees, offered to treat the cuts on my front yard tree for the price of a couple of bottles of water. He pointed out to me that without treatment the cuts could get infected and kill the tree. read more

Absolutely the worst job I have ever seen....while trimming trees for our neighbor, they BUTCHERED two large, beautiful trees in our yard. They did NOT trim branches...they did a straight down cut which makes the two trees look like they were halved. I would recommend drunk monkeys over these guys. I got burned by the previous company- they left the job half finished. Laura was courteous and professional on the phone. The estimator was on time and friendly. The estimate was very fair (told me of a special they had without me having to ask)- so fair I had to ask why it was such a good price. (F.Y.I.- even without the special their regular price was still better than the others. In addition, knowing now how good they are, I would pay more to use them if it came down to it BECAUSE of the service) He responded by saying that they just try to help out the customer. I called them back to set an appointment after getting two more estimates- no one could touch their price. After the appointment was set (about a month out due to them being booked) Laura called me the next day to tell me that they could do it a week later instead of four weeks- super awesome!! The crew showed up ON TIME and with a good attitude- very friendly! They worked diligently and finished quickly without rushing. They were very professional and did a great job cleaning up afterward.
