The sales clerk said exactly and kindly, "Hi, how are you?" My response was well and yourself? She responded, "Good, just letting you know we close in 10 minutes, but please feel free to look around." I did not find this rude at all. Afterward, Mr. Victor and his family came in. The sales clerk said the same thing, kindly, and his wife seemed to not have an issue with this, seeing as she responded "Okay, thank you," with a smile. After that, Mr. Victor's response was, "That's a pleasant way to greet us, I'm not spending a dime in this store." and he stormed out of the store. His family remained to browse and apologized to the sales clerk for how rude their father/husband was when she was so friendly and did not do anything wrong. I worked in retail many years ago, and for one know you cannot simply lock a door to close. You have to count change, restock, clean, etc. You're not able to do this with customers still browsing. I've been coming to DeeGee's since it was across the street at Ruddy Duck's. They have an excellent selection of books and gifts. I have ALWAYS found the staff so friendly and helpful. I like Pokemon 151 and got taught the other series I never opened that I wanted to buy but wanted certain characters. I even bought very low cost cards as I collect Lorcana and requested(if they could) to penny sleeve them all instead of putting them together in a pack and told them I'd pay extra. They accommodated me and only charged another 5$ which I expected it to be a lot more. I also love it as my S/O never felt harassed or looked down upon by being a female they were so excited to share stories and help find items and just loving the genre and hobby. I usually hate leaving their side because of harassment but I felt comfortable exploring while they have a good time talking and laughing to the employees! Also big thank you to the gentleman that had pony tail and glasses you were the one that answered the phone and helped us. I think Jeremy? You were super helpful and friendly so thank you!

In addition to kites and puzzles, they also had board games, and lots of decor/yard art, flags and more to make your home feel a little more beachy! Pricing seemed fair, especially being at the beach, I had expected it to be much worse. I'll echo some comments on the cashier (owner, I think, if not owner take heed). I happened to be standing behind a local with whom she was having a nice conversation, I waited patiently for them to finish, they were having a discussion on facial care products. It was sweet and the cashier was very responsive and friendly. After a fairly long wait, I greeted the cashier. The reception was cold, unwelcome, almost to the point that I wanted to put the items back, but had expectant grandchildren behind me. I really like the contents of the shop and it's displayed very nicely. Some time spent on customer friendly service will make a tremendous difference.
