HE HAS GONE HERE FOR ALMOST 6 YEARS! Insane, so where exactly is a 10 year old supposed to go if not daycare? Now we are forced to find another option for his before and after school care and there are almost NO options within proximity to his school. This company just screwed up royally. I will be withdrawing BOTH of my kids. I guess our money is no good to them.

But there were times that every two weeks there were different teachers in the room. One lasted 1 day because the state came and did a background check on the employees and for some reason this new girl was released that day! The last straw was when he was moved up with his friends to the next classroom. I was nervous about this change because he finally had 2 teachers that lasted a month! But I was promised (by the director) the teacher had been there for a long time and was great. So we were hopeful. So in the new class room we were not there long at all, when an accident happened and...it is now 6 months from when it happened and he still has a scar. The kids were playing outside and when they lined up to go in, they said he ran off, tripped and his face went into the iron fence and his teeth through his lip and into a board as he landed face down on the ground. If you know my child (who is not perfect but very shy) this is not his nature! I asked the lead teacher what happened and she flippantly says she doesn't know....HE was covered in blood and she does not know! I was in shock, grabbed my child and left! The next day I go to see the director who was not there when this happened and she tells me that the lead teacher didn't show up to work and quit...that screams something is wrong! She then calls in the other teacher (another new hire) what happened and the above story is what I got. She said she was busy with another student but saw it happen. I ask her what she is going to do to ensure my childs safety (as he has also been bitten in the new class just the day before....deep bite through a sweater and his skin was broken on his back) and again, I am given the speech to give them more time.....NO I was done! I was calm, over and over again as he was bitten (skin broken) because new teachers were not keeping kids engaged. I believe when we left, the number of times he was bitten was 8 and he didn't bite back. The teacher told me they had a kid who loved to bite, but there was not a bite policy in place other than they would talk to the parents. And the teacher in the classroom told me that child was a problem as he bit 3 kids on the last day we were there. The several times I did drop ins, they were not following curriculum! I know I should like a helicopter mom, but when your child keeps getting injured.... you start to take notice quickly! And this is how I found out about a teacher putting soap in a child mouth.....but the director/owner can spin a story to place blame on everyone but them. I moved my child to another school (United Methodist in Montgomery) after this and at 6 months now with the new school....no injuries! He has had the same teachers the entire time and he has learned so much.....verses Primrose where he was not because they were constantly training new teachers. I regret that I allowed my child to stay there as long as I did!

Key things that are a bare minimum for me as a first time mom in a child care facility is that my child is safe and cared for properly. What I got was way more than I can imagine. My child is LOVED by her teachers, cared for by all staff members, and she is thriving! When she started, she had a difficult time adjusting. I watched her teachers Ms. Megan, Ms. Cecile, Ms. Teresa put in EFFORT & TIME to help her adjust, make her feel safe to where now she runs off without a care in the world. There are no words to describe the amount of gratitude I have for that type of love and care. As she moved up in her Toddler class, I watched Ms. Madison, Ms. Genieve, Ms. Alyssa, teach my daughter songs, manners, show her such love. Such love that she tells them she loves them as she leaves their class and talks about them at home. These are examples of how great the teachers there are! Make no mistake that no preschool is perfect and there can/will be issues, but anytime I have a concern, I am welcome the opportunity to discuss and and it is addressed. I explained with management that it is important that we work together because we view this as a partnership since VRA plays a key role in my child's life. Working with Brian, Jane, Elaine on expectations have been great and again we are honestly thrilled to have found VRA. This review is long overdue, but the peace of mind, love, and care that the staff at VRA have provided my family and my child is priceless. And for that, we thank you!

There was no…read morecommunication at all done ,no incident report done or anything.When I asked the daycare what happened they stated no-one was available to assist me so I ended up having to call the police to try and get answers and escalate the issue due to no communication & poor response from the daycare ,and due to the extensive head injury my child received while in their care.Instead of an explanation or apology the owner sends me an email without warning ending my child's care ,but still to this day no communication on what happened to my daughter.Im extremely disappointed and hurt ..I trusted my 2 year old non verbal baby in the care of this daycare and the staff including the owner failed us!

Why 5 stars? Because we loved everything about sending our son here…read more --- --- --- When we first moved to the area, we sent our son to another daycare. We thought things were going great there until about one year into it, we were told that our son was not progressing and that they recommended we look into other schools with smaller student:teacher ratios. My wife ended up finding a couple of options, and we landed on Grace Lutheran as the best spot. Our time here was only about four months, but we really loved it. We only ended up leaving because our son was enrolled in full-time ABA therapy. But if not for that, we absolutely would have kept him here until he started Kindergarten. Every staff member we ever dealt with was incredibly friendly and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed their job. And make no mistake, it is no easy job. Dealing with my own kid's issues is hard enough, I cannot imagine having to deal with several of them every day. These people are true saints. If I could change anything about Grace Lutheran, there are really only two things, but both are minor: 1) The first school we went to provided lunch, but Grace Lutheran did not. At first, I thought this would be a pretty major issue, but it really wasn't that big of a deal to send our son to school with a packed lunch. But if I had my choice, I would have preferred the school to make lunch. 2) They rarely uploaded photos of the kids at school. The first daycare we ever sent him to in Tampa would upload 10-20 photos a day, but most of them were blurry and near duplicates of other photos. That was excessive and pointless. But at Grace Lutheran, the might only upload one photo a month. A middle ground would be ideal, just to see the kids in action. But again, I understand the hectic nature of just keeping the kids out of trouble and that it's probably not easy to find time to take pictures. Overall, this is an excellent place to take your kiddo. If we could go back in time, we would have sent him here from day one!
