This place is so cute, a couple work friends met up for tea time over the weekend. They tell you to make a reservation so that they know you are coming. It is a small place but the 11 of us had fun. There are so many teas to choose from my favorite was a caramel apple (I think). Their chai tea is also really good. The little tea sandwiches were delicious. I'm so happy to start the new month of February being able to share the great experience I had at Tea Time in Sunrise. Located in a pretty nondescript strip mall, once you walk inside you'll immediately feel as if you're part of an English tea experience. The owner Brian is such a nice man and he'll make sure your experience is nothing but positive. I went with a friend who is vegetarian and he made sure her food was within the confines of what she could eat. For high tea they have The Royal Madison which offers you choice of tea, pastries, homemade scones with lemon curd and clotted cream, assorted finger sandwiches and fresh fruit. For $10 more you can get Megan's High Tea which also includes a slice of quiche, a cup of soup and champagne, a mimosa or fruit juice. We opted for the Megan's High Tea and I'm so glad we did. The spinach/feta quiche and the carrot ginger soup were both very good. My mimosa was perfect and was the perfect accompaniment for the finger sandwiches. The scones were warm right out of the oven and were so delicious that I'm still thinking about them a day later. I really enjoyed all the finger sandwiches with their different fillings, it's hard to pick a favorite. The tea was perfect the hardest part was picking one from the vast array of choices. They also have a cute little gift shop area that's worth checking out. Among the things they sell are a nice selection of assorted teas. I can't recommend this place enough and like I said, Brian will do whatever it takes to make sure you have a memorable experience. read more

Just left here after a visit with my extended family, and we were just blown away by this hole in the wall! I made reservations for noon for 8 people a few days ahead of time and had no issues with being accommodated. On the morning of, I texted the gentleman (Brian) who called to confirm the reservation to advise on a dairy and egg allergy and he was so incredibly accommodating, despite the last minute request (TOTALLY my fault!) When we arrived, Brian greeted us and seated us immediately. We started with teas, the blue heaven, buckingham palace, and strawberry fields - so wonderful! Not a bad sip. Brian took our orders, and with my nephews dairy and egg allergy in mind, prepared a special tea platter just for him with the dairy free cheese he purchased just for my nephew! Our sandwiches were incredible - a table favourite was the chicken salad and the turkey/brie/fig on croissant. The desserts were lovely and the fresh fruit was such a nice touch to cut some of the richness. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, Brian was so so sweet and accommodating, and while I'm almost sure he was the one making the tea platters and serving us with no assistance, he was SO graceful, prompt and attentive. A cute afternoon girls outing to enhance our Downton Abbey movie experience. Loved the spacious room lined with various tea settings. Our host was friendly and invited us to try on tiaras for pictures to remember the day. Although the chicken salad croissants were delicious, we found the bread used for the sandwiches to be dense. Carrot soup and quiche was lacking in flavor. Choice of teas were extensive. If you like your tea strong I would suggest you let them know, so they steep it longer. The host is the most gracious i have ever had for a high tea and there are so many elements that made this one deeply special. There are hats to choose from for wearing for your tea time that are so fun and beautiful. The tea was plentiful/flavorful and delicious. The sandwiches, pastries, all of it was so great and adorably set up. The space itself was so cute and I'll admit..the location throws you off a little, as it's in not the nicest plaza. But, again, don't sleep on this place, because when you walk in..it's an adorable little wonderland that transforms you to a wonderful experience. I did a high tea here for my 34th birthday with my sister and we both loved it! Fantastic service, ambiance, food, and most importantly tea! Really easy to make a reservation ahead of time too and I highly recommend it as they can get quite busy. They do sell their tea so if you like any while tasting, you can always bring some tea home. My friend and I came here recently to try the Royal Tea Service, specifically Megan's High Tea. My friend is gluten-free and they were able to easily accommodate the high tea for her with gluten free breads, desserts, and fruits. We each tried different teas while enjoying our mimosa and tea sandwiches. We tried the strawberry fields, French caramel creme brûlée, and the earl grey raspberry. We loved all of the teas but my friend loved the French caramel creme brûlée the most and I loved the earl grey raspberry. I am biased as earl grey is my favorite but this is much sweeter than your typical earl grey. I ended up buying some to enjoy at home as well. The only thing that is different here from other tea services I've had is they used sugar packets instead of sugar bowls and they did not serve any milk with their tea. You may have to ask for the milk to get it instead of it already being setup. I do have to give a shout out to the carrot soup as it was absolutely delicious. I never thought I would like carrot soup, but this one changed my life. We had a wonderful time together, with excellent and attentive service, delicious treats, and extraordinary tea. Let me just say what a phenomenal experience I had today. Daniella helped me out and was great to converse with. She has a beautiful, kind heart and made me feel super welcome even though I visited the location alone to read. Everything was absolutely delicious from the tea sandwiches to the sweets. I couldn't even finish the entire high tea. The location was small and quaint and exactly what you wanted for a quiet rainy day by yourself or to host a big group. I came here to celebrate my birthday with my friends and we had a wonderful time. We ended up having the place to ourself for two and a half hours. The owner, Brian, greeted us when we came in. They have a little store area in the front where they sell tea, teapots, hats, Etc. We decided to do the full afternoon tea which comes with a mimosa, quiche and a choice of soup or salad, tea sandwiches, scones and cream and then petite fours. The Mimosa was a little bit of a surprise, they add some grenadine to it and it's delicious. One of my friends is vegetarian and Brian was very accommodating giving her sandwiches that had no meat. I did not want quiche since I had it for breakfast so I asked if I could have instead the soup and salad and he agreed. The pumpkin soup was excellent. The tea sandwiches were super fresh made with different breads. One was pimento cheese, another cucumber sandwich, and egg salad. It comes with a small scone which was tasty. We tried two different pots of tea, we loved the peach ginger. The strawberry tea was okay, didn't care for it. The tea house is under new ownership. They've repainted it and spruced it up. Five of us came for high tea and had a great time! We had Megan's high tea which consisted of a piece of quiche with your choice of soup or salad, 5 sandwiches and mini tea desserts. I had the ginger carrot soup, which wasn't bad but it wasn't hot. I like my soup hot. Each person had their own plate with sandwiches and the sweets, which was great! There was a cucumber sandwich, a chicken croissant, a pimento sandwich, an egg salad sandwich, a purple sandwich (don't remember if it was cranberry cream cheese) and a scone with clotted cream with lemon curd. I can not believe this place is not talked about by everyone, everything here was exceptional from the moment we arrived. It is family owned and the people are the most caring ones in the world when it comes to intimate tea and in general I feel like. We had a reservation (and you need one for the most part) and we were quickly taken to our seats. On Sunday's they have a special and it comes with a slice of quiche and soup or you can get a salad. I opted for the soup and quiche. The flakiness of the crust was amazing and the quiche was above and beyond in flavor. The tomato soup cup was the perfect amount and the creaminess of it was amazing, that I easily could've drank a gallon of it. During your stay you can try as many different pots of tea that you can drink and you get two pots per table. We got the house blend that they make their and I think I have found my new favorite tea, I hope one day they package and sell it because I would go broke buying it, easily. The flavors were amazing and it was steeped to perfection without any bitterness to it. The array of food you get is magnificent as well and everything on it was flavorful and I was trying not to inhale it all at once. The egg sandwich was great but not my favorite, but that is because I need to be in the mood for it. But overall amazing flavor. I loved their pimento cheese sandwich because the cheese was right with flavor and not overpowering as well. The other sandwiches were beautifully flavored and I cant wait to have them again. The desserts were phenomenal and by that point I was so full on food and tea I felt like I was going to explode. The little bundt cake was amazing and the crème in the center was perfect and not overly sweet. I loved the chocolate dipped Madeline the best and it was so soft and flavorful as well. The Sunday brunch comes with a mimosa and it was perfectly combined and rounded out this experience in the best way possible. I can not wait to come back here again and try other teas. Had a nice afternoon tea at a quaint little place called Tea Time in Sunrise, FL. It is located in a shopping center but don't let that fool you! Lots of charm in this little place. And each chair even has a hat for you to wear for tea! The owner is so sweet and friendly too. We tried 4 different types of tea. The Bella Coola was my favorite. The scones were even in the shape of flowers and hearts which I thought was adorable. Plus they had lemon curd, my favorite! They do practice social distancing guidelines. This past february was the SECOND time i've visited Tea Time for my birthday! The space is cozy and intimate with tea themed decorations throughout the area. Every seat comes with your own scarf/shawl with a matching fancy hat! Somehow every hat i've gotten has matched my outfit and i love it. The food is so good, always fresh and served perfectly in the style of a fancy tea time. I've attached some pictures but they just don't do it justice. I recommend getting the full brunch experience with a meal and dessert tray! it's actually really filling and i've never finished everything. The owner makes the quiche from scratch and i can say honestly trying her quiche was the first time i've ever really liked quiche The have SO MANY tea selections. Truly one of my main issues is trying to pick one out. Thankfully, they're extremely kind and from what I remember their rule is that you're allowed a new pot at any time and as many tea changes as you can drink! Either way, i usually stick to 2-3 types and pick my favorite tea to buy a HUGE loose leaf bag at the end. I've purchased tea here each year and it's always fresh and packaged really cutely which i imagine would serve perfectly as a gift! You are served by the sweetest people who genuinely care that you're having a good experience. They're super attentive while also giving you space to enjoy the company of your friends. Once I saw a Galentine's event, it was so much fun to see! Plus, they always give me an extra treat for my birthday which makes me feel so special. What a lovely surprise! I love tea. I'm a current tea drinker. My mom spent part of her childhood in Canada and afternoon tea was part of that experience. Do not be turned off by this odd strip center/group of storefronts. It's a mish mash of types of businesses and from the outside parking lot, the area looks run down. Inside, you are in a different world. Ariel W was nicely indulging my desire to see the newest "Mary Poppins" movie. We had reservations for a show nearby, but wanted to stop for lunch first. How great was her plan -- a tea lunch first. Perfect for the movie we were going to see. We were joined by her daughter. When you enter, you first walk into the shop part -- all sorts of tea related items for sale. The cutest little teapot night lights were some of my favorites. Everything is pastel, frilly, girlie. Just what you'd expect a tea shop to be. Sometimes they book up completely for a private party, but today they were able to accommodate the three of us. The owner told us that it's best to call first and make reservations so we won't be disappointed. We explained that we had limited time (due to the movie schedule) and she assured us there'd be no problem. At each seat, there were scarves/boas and various hats -- Just made for picture taking, which of course we did. And each place is set with a fancy tea cup and matching saucer. Each tea cup is different. First we started off choosing two teas. One pot of each -- earl grey and a French caramel. Half way through we were able to switch to a different tea and try another flavor. The third one had coconut in it. So aromatic. They have 2 "full" tea services. The larger is served in two courses and starts with quiche through desserts. It's $28 per person. The second is a lighter "southern lady" tea service, a bit smaller, for $23 per person. As this seemed like a huge amount of food, we each chose a Royal Tea "Lunch". Each has a different name. I chose their "King Edward" which was two small croissant sandwiches with soup or salad. I got tuna and their soup of the day, tomato. Ariel had their Lady Isabella -- quiche of the day (spinach) with salad and a scone. Kaye had the "Lady Rose" which was two scoops of chicken salad (pineapple, raisins and walnuts) on salad with a scone. The girls tried the raspberry vinaigrette and poppy seed dressings -- both were very good. The stand out, however, was the side of lemon curd and clotted cream to put on the scones. I could tell that this was finger licking good -- but we were trying to be mannered. I didn't get to try the scones, but next time, I'm going to be sure to have some with this topping. It was such a fun "civilized" luncheon. I could easily see coming here for a special event -- birthday party, bridal shower, etc. And as promised, we had dined, and sipped, and too soon it was time to leave. (But yes, I'll be back!). I went here with a friend for afternoon tea. Neither of us had been before, so we didn't know that you needed to make a reservation before visiting. The woman who checked us in was nice about it and fortunately they were able to get us a table. The whole experience was so cute from start to finish. Before you even sit down they let you take photos in tiaras that they have near the entrance to the dining room. The dining area itself is set up so nicely with a variety of teacups and antique looking chairs. There was another group of women in the dining room with us who were all dressed up and it looked like they were celebrating a birthday. (I'll be sure to dress up the next time I visit.) I ordered a pot of strawberry green tea to drink and it really hit the spot. And the tea trays they brought us were so cute. Each table is color coordinated with the napkins, tablecloth and glasses. We had great service directly from the owner. Our tea included quiche & soup or salad. They have three types of dressing. The salad is romaine lettuce. The soup was a creamy roasted pepper. Five different sandwiches included: cucumber, salmon, egg, spinach, and a sweet cranberry bread. The scones were warm. The clotted cream is delicious...feel free to ask for extra. The lemon curd was tart, sweet and lemony. They give you a variety of teas to choose from. We had two different flavors. THe servers keep refreshing your cup. There is a little gift shop in the lobby. There is parking in the attached lot. Overall, we had a great experience and will return. I had no idea this little gem of a tea room existed and so close to my house!! When you walk in, you immediately get an old Victorian era feel. There is furniture right out of that time. There are teacups, hats, and other tea lover related items for purchase. The tea room is in another area. We had a large group and when we arrived, there was a hat and boa on each chair. It was set up with lovely china. We ordered a few flavors of tea to share. One was the crime brûlée which was delicious. We also had the strawberry which I liked even more. There is a regular tea experience menu that can be ordered as well as various lunches. I had the quiche with salad, tuna salad, chicken salad and a heart shaped cone which I put globs of the delicious lemon curd and clotted cream. Don't worry if you didn't dress in your Sunday best, they provide hats on each chair and other accessories like scarves and beads. Even my daughter who would never in a million years wear a floral dress got into the mood and consented to model a hat. We had a great time taking pictures. They offer a full tea of 5 courses but time was a factor so we settled on the lunch options. They have tea place type food like tuna and chicken salad, quiche, and green salads. Our lunches came with two pots of tea to share. We had an Earl Gray, the favorite of the Queen, Crème brûlée, and Blue Heaven which was the house tea with kiwi, strawberry, and coconut. Blue Heaven was my favorite. As you finish a pot you can switch it out for a different flavor. I enjoyed my quiche and salad. The salad dressings were phenomenal, especially the poppy seed. My favorite part of the meal was the scone and the lemon curd with clotted cream. The lemon curd was divine. I would have bought that in jar if they had sold it. I would have gotten the dessert platter but we were out of time much to my daughter's disappointment, I will have to plan better and try it next time. This is the kind of place you don''t want to be rushed so you can sip and savor your tea. Even so they did an excellent job meeting our time constraints. I even got $10 off with my Yelp check in which was extremely generous, You can get an affordable English Tea here as opposed to places like Whitehall and the Biltmore where it can easily go for over $50. That makes it nice for the mom's to be table to take their daughters and friends here for a real tea party. I would have loved to have known about it when my daughter was little. The only reason I have to give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they said they were open until 5pm, we arrived around 2pm but they stopped serving us tea at 3pm. We only got about 4 pots of tea and 2 of those teas were mini pots. There wasn't supposed to be a limit on how many teas you were able to get, and if they had given us a warning about that, it would've been fine/we would've planned accordingly. Outside of that it was amazing. The woman serving us was a sweetheart and fun, the hats really added to the whimsical nature of the place, the food was good and flavorful. What a fun little shop! We had reservations for 11 and stayed four about an hour and a half. We had four "Victorian" options. They let us have two rotating pots of tea and we could circulate as many flavors as we wanted. We were able to get through four and they were all true to descriptions and tasty. I think our favorite was strawberry fields for the lightness. The quiche and roasted red pepper soup was scrumptious. The tower of finger sandwiches, desserts, and scones was beautiful. The warm scones with some lemon curd or cream smeared on top really hit the spot. Makes me want to do that with tea as a wind down all the time! We're excited to come back. I made High Tea reservations for Friday 11/3 beforehand over the phone and spoke with the owner. Originally I asked for 11am, but she asked if 11:30 would be ok. Sure, it would. I'm flexible and was excited for my first High Tea experience. My mom (the birthday girl) and I showed up promptly at 11:30 to a closed and dark space. The sign on the door read "CLOSED" so we were definitely confused. Should we go in? Maybe they forgot to turn on the lights and open the door? An older gentleman, who was sweet, let us in and explained that he was waiting on his boss to open up, and that she should have been there already but didn't know where she was. We wandered around the gift area browsing to kill time. After a few minutes he turned on the lights to the tea parlor area and we sat at the table. It was now 11:50 and the owner was still a no show. My mom and I decided to leave, as we weren't sure if this would effect our team. Would she rush in and throw a plate together? This was concerning and off-putting. Note: I even called that morning at 1045ish to remind the lady we were celebrating a birthday. No one answered and I thought it strange. Later that night around 8:30pm I got a missed call and voicemail from the same owner. An apology maybe? No, just a voicemail acting like she didn't know my number (hello, I just used that to make the reservation yesterday that you were late to today), stating, "had a missed call, sorry to call late." The owner doesn't seem professional or reliable when making reservations and showing up on time. I'm very disappointed in this experience and do not see a second chance in the future. read more
