The store was very crowded when I went yesterday, a Tuesday at around 2pm. Very welcoming cashier worker who was patient and kind. It was my first time there and I ordered a Golden Bubble MT and Honey Jasmine MT. They came out promptly considering the huge line waiting for their drinks. Honey Jasmine tasted a bit bitter but it was alright! Golden Bubble was extremely sweet, but the honey boba was soft and chewy. It was a good boba stop nonetheless! read more

I love this shop. First off, let me start by saying this cute little boba place located in the Mekong Plaza is just adorable. It's a great size -- not too big, not too small. The atmosphere is nothing special, but it's a nice place to sit and relax after a good lunch in the plaza or a grocery shop. The staff is SO friendly. I have been here a couple of times now and every time I go the staff is friendly, kind, helpful, down to earth, and amazing at their job. I have NOTHING bad to say about any of the staff and today when I went and my tea was accidentally made wrong, they fixed the problem right away without being rude or seeming annoyed about it. I'm so pleased with how I'm treated every time I come here and I really appreciate a business that has great employees. Now, to the most important part of the review: How are their drinks, really? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I've had a lot of bubble tea (I am from Vancouver, so naturally I'm a bubble tea lover) but ever since I've moved to America it's been really hard to find GOOD authentic bubble tea, and I have to say, they have THE best milk tea boba I've had in America...ever. I have not tried their shaved ice (snow) yet, but I am excited to try it next time I come. Mom and I have tried a few slushy flavors (taro, durian*, soursop*, and blueberry*), and they've all tasted very good! We do wish there were more chunks of fruit in these... Mom really likes the durian, while my favorite is the soursop-- can't wait to return and order it again! :) If you try the blueberry, which is made with real blueberries, you may want to ask for no sugar added-- the original version they gave me was TOO sweet- ugh! (And if you've read my reviews, you know I like my sweet breakfasts and treats, so I'm not against sugar at all.) The unsweetened version was perfect for me. The staff is comprised of teens and a few young adults, and a few are friendly. Most are eager to please and are helpful with samples to help you make up your mind on which milk tea to try-- not all teas are available to sample, just a handful. I try to tip a buck, or two every visit, and some of them say thank you, while others just stand there, waiting on the next customer. Will order soursop and mung bean on my next visit! p.s. The decor is pretty inviting and you can hang out with your friends in this bright color place and drinking boba. They also have other toppings besides boba. I stopped here specifically for the snow and left loving their Basil seed drink. Don't get me wrong, their shave ice is delicious and much better than any option in Minnesota but the crazy topping to snow ratio had me experience a major sugar high I haven't felt in months. I ordered the taro and pistachio snow with red bean topping -- they were out of match green tea (shedding a tear as I type this). The snow itself had great texture, was not all melty, and was perfectly light. The red bed topping was what took the dessert way too far - way too sweet, thick, and overwhelming. Next time, I think I will just get the mochi topping and call it a day. Now, to the best part about this place, the house special basil seed drink. It looks creepy as hell, like there are a million spider eyeballs poured in there but the second I had a sip I knew I would somehow have to find a copy cat recipe to bring this deliciousness back to Minnesota. The drink itself is really refreshing, not overly sweet, and a great combination of pomegranate seeds and lychee with the melon flavored basil seeds. I would really recommend this specific drink to anyone trying this place out because there aren't a lot of boba houses that have this drink. You can get bubble tea any where now a days..but this basil seed drink? Truly a special treat. A note about service: super nice, friend, fast, and helpful. It's a small little shop located inside the market, and there seems to be a line every time. However, they're pretty fast with making your order so that's a plus. Stopped in here after a trip to Mekong. What a fun place. They have sooo many options and we're so kind to allow me to sample various boba (get the traditional tapioca kind) and Vietnamese coffee. I love the idea that you can get half and half on certain drinks cause I could try 2 difference flavors with 2 straws. The Vietnamese coffee was delicious and strong and the coffee milk tea was a nice contrast that offered a more non sweet tea option. Wanted to try out the shaved snow at this place. Tried out the Green Tea and loved it. The texture is definitely unique as I don't think I can say I have had anything like this before. The boba is good however the milk tea etc. I think is powdered (bummer). Overall, the tea & boba is not really unique but decent.
