Nice decor at the bar. You can order from the same food menu. I ordered the nana's egg sandwich in a pita - it was essentially an omelette sandwich with boursin, olive tapenade, cucumber, tomato and schug which is a green hot sauce which I got on the side. It was quite interesting- not what I had expected and next time I would ask to omit the olive tapenade. I asked for ketchup to add in. It was a really good portion- probably 2 or 3 eggs. Very hearty and filling. The friend ordered the eggplant quinoa bowl which comes in this sauce and very cheesy. Comes with bread - really tasty! Bartender was friendly and service was great!

Playa Bowls near Northeastern is a chain that has found a comfortable home in the area, and the…read morelocation holds up well as a go to for a refreshing, health forward meal that does not require much thought to enjoy. We walked into a relaxed space with a consistently friendly and engaged staff, making the experience feel more personal than a typical fast casual stop. The acai bowl is the foundation of the menu and it delivers reliably, with the base thick enough to hold the toppings without turning into soup partway through. The Nutella bowl is the most popular order, and the combination of the rich spread against the acai base works in a way that feels indulgent without completely undermining the healthier premise of the meal. The mango bowls are a lighter, brighter option for anyone who wants something less earthy than the acai, and the Nica Bowl is another solid choice for a more composed build. The customization options are generous and the staff is helpful in steering you toward combinations that work if you are unsure where to start. Prices land in the eleven to thirteen dollar range, which is on the higher side for the format, though the quality of the fruit and the portion sizes make it feel reasonable once you are eating it. For a post workout meal or a lighter lunch option near Northeastern, Playa Bowls is an easy and reliable choice.

I always look for healthy food options especially while traveling so it's great to see places like this in the train station!! Wanted to pick up some food for lunch on the train to NYC. Ordered the pollo supreme sandwich- it's essentially a chicken salad sandwich- looks very interesting- bright yellow color shredded chicken with cucumbers in pan sobao bread - which I had never heard of - looked it up right there before ordering- it's a slightly sweet Puerto Rican bread. Also picked up a couple healthy snack bowls - one was a parfait with yogurt and fruit and honey granola and the other was an oatmeal bowl with blueberries. They also had some chia fruit cups and their menu had lots of juices too. Service was great - the guy at the counter was very friendly. He noticed the bananas in the parfait cup were a bit discolored so he removed those and cut a fresh banana and put it in. I wasn't expecting that at all and was very pleasantly surprised by his thoughtfulness and service. The sandwich took a while and I was getting worried as the train time was close. But it was finally done! Ate only half of the sandwich as I also wanted to eat the parfait. Was mild and tasty went well with the bread. Parfait was good too. Hubs enjoyed the oatmeal cup too. Overall great experience and the service was above and beyond!

While waiting for our drinks, I made the mistake of checking Yelp and saw the photo of the rat in the display case posted by someone. I really wish I hadn't seen that. There are a few small bistro tables, so we sat and had our drinks there. Overall 2.5 stars -- fresh juice, but that Yelp photo ruined the experience for me. Probably wouldn't come back.

And I was dreading the haul home until Malik packaged everything up (by day) like you'd expect walking out of a department store. Awesome.

3 Stars for a good protein smoothie bowl, but meh customer service and a truly filthy bathroom…read more I was looking for a quick, healthy bite while doing some window shopping in the area and saw Pressed Juicery had a small location a few steps down from the sidewalk, with outdoor seating. Since it was beautiful outside, this looked like the right spot! They also had a poster highlighting their Protein functional bowl, so I knew my order. As I walked in, the staff member at the counter was on her Bluetooth headphones and having a full conversation with a friend while simultaneously trying to take down someone's order. It was confusing to everyone involved and took some time. Same when I ordered, and it looked like another friend had come in and joined her behind the counter to chat (didn't see any sign of this person working there, but I may be wrong). Oh well, a bit of an awkward ordering process is not a big deal. The bowl itself was actually really tasty. It was a bit sweet for my taste, but it was large and satiating. I'd definitely recommend! Quick note that if you are needing the bathroom, I'd wait until your next stop. It was one pretty dirty stall and left me wondering if I should have eaten there... Overall, a good product, but the service and cleanliness of the facility left something to be desired.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for an early dinner before walking around the city. We happened to be visiting during a heat wave weekend, which made our plans a little challenging, but we still made it work. For dinner, I was hungry but not sure I had enough of an appetite for both an appetizer and a meal. I ended up ordering the tofu skewers anyway because they sounded interesting, and they came with peanut sauce. For my main, I ordered the mushroom shawarma pita, which included roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, hummus, Mediterranean salad mix, shaved vegetables, herbs, harissa zhoug, and lemon tahini sauces in a whole grain pita. The pita was described as a low-calorie handheld, but it was packed to the brim. It looked beautiful, but I definitely could not finish it. I made it through one pita half and some of the filling from the second half before calling it quits. There were just a lot of flavors going on. I think it would have been easier to enjoy if the dish had focused on one or two flavor profiles instead of feeling like everything was packed into one pita. Overall, it was good, filling, and satisfying. I also had a kombucha with my meal, which was my attempt at trying to keep cool on a hot summer evening. If I go back, I'll probably keep it simple and order either an appetizer or an entree, because the portions are filling enough that I don't think I'd need both.
