I tried to get three different kinds - rice and beans: very dry and flavorless - cabbage and mushroom: ok, but nothing to write about - spinach and feta: well i asked for it but got the ham and cheese instead by mistake, and it was ok All the empanadas had thick flavorless skin with hard thick piping at the seal, making it ceramic like and unpleasant. These were probably the worst empanadas I've ever had.

I can honestly say it's one of the best little cafes we've ever visited. I had never tried ube before, and for anyone unfamiliar like I was, it's a purple yam. I ordered the Banana brulee Cold Foam, and it was incredibly refreshing and packed with the perfect blend of flavors, topped with fresh bananas. It was absolutely delicious! The bread completely surprised me. It was evenly baked, incredibly moist, and somehow crafted to pure perfection. The ice cream was a treat as well, but honestly, everything we tried was phenomenal. We can't wait until our next trip to Massachusetts just so we can enjoy a few more bites. I also loved the purple theme throughout the cafe, although maybe I'm a little biased since purple happens to be my birthstone! One of my favorite touches was the owners' book, where you can see pictures and learn more about their story. It really adds a personal touch to the experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we would definitely recommend this place for a quick snack, dessert, or beverage. There is some temporary street parking available as well. If you're in the area, Kuya Jay's Ube Cafe is absolutely worth a visit!

The wait wasn't too bad and the menu had a good selection of ube flavored drinks and treats. The spot is located in this public space with nice lighting and some seating. The area also does cooking classes and has some areas to study. I actually got two drinks to try both and they were tasty - not amazing, but not bad given the price. Overall, I didn't mind the experience, but I have seen some troubling things online regarding permits that deter me from coming back unfortunately. Drinks tasted fine though!

I especially liked how it wasn't overly and artificially sweet. They also had a variety of breakfast options such sandwiches, bagels, and muffins. Coffees and food also come out super quick which is a huge plus!

That would be a below average grocery store bagel. And together, it was almost $15 after tax. Although the service is friendly, it tipped into too obsequious territory for me, so it doesn't get a pity upgrade either. Way better options in the area.

I've even popped into the photobooth on a quiet day, which was a fun experience. Today I ordered ahead and found a seat near the back. I went up to the pickup counter a few minutes before the estimated pickup time and watched as people got their orders. A few minutes after my pickup time when the rush died down a little (order status was still pending), I still didn't hear my name or see my strawberry lemonade and bagel sandwich on the counter so I checked in with an employee. I gave them my name and the employee gestured to a hot latte. It obviously wasn't my order so I asked again if there was an order for Deborah and again, the employee rather impatiently insisted that the latte was mine. I had to clarify my name again before they finally took a look at a bagel that had been sitting right in front of them. They didn't even apologize and said something about someone else taking my strawberry lemonade before finally making me my drink. My drink was good but my sandwich was lukewarm. Weird interaction that left a bad taste. I've never had a strong reason to come back to Diesel but I now have a reason to stay away.

Man, this place really gets vegetarian breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, and baked goods!!…read more At most places I go, the vegetarian sandwiches are super raw, always contain hummus or are cold, or are the same as the meat sandwich, just without the meat (and without enough salt to compensate for the lack of meat). BUT---------the sandwich I just tried at Page&Leaf had delicious, quality cheese! And interesting sauce! And a well cooked egg! And was prepared with creativity and care! And is served all day! Impressed with the ingenuity of the Garamond and the Rockwell. The Rockwell has delicious pesto, quality cheese, roasted onion, a yummy veggie sausage, spinach, and a perfectly over medium egg on a hearty sourdough roll- ideal for a cozy pick me up on a cloudy day. The Garamond had quality cheese, perfectly over medium egg, a thinly sliced and perfectly ripe tomato, spinach, and tangy flavorful CHILI CRISP MAYO. I also loved my berry almond butter smoothie and the bite I had of my partner's peanut butter M&M blondie. Staff were very kind. Okay -- it's time for me to review the S*nk. It's been a long time coming…read more I am both terrified and in love with the baristas at the S*nk. They don't like me and I'm a people pleaser which is a toxic combo but I think that's what you pay for at the S*nk. You also pay for the sometimes good but often kind of bad music that they play into the S*nk seating area which is lit with a red light? Kind of makes you feel like a rotisserie chicken which I guess is kinda cool. I like their drink names, so fun. Cinny Vanilly is so fun to say but a little foolish when you have to say it out loud. The best drink is probably the Hot Karl (but cold!). The Lucy in the Chai was just okay (the chai part is not great) and the Soylent Green was also just okay. I honestly think I subtracted one star because I know if I applied to be a barista here I would not get the job.
