If you don't want to read my whole long review here's a paraphrase: it was a course where the…read moreinstructor is incredibly arrogant, but you will leave more comfortable with your gun. If you have female genitalia, you'll probably want to avoid it. I was really looking forward to a beginner class. I had purchased it for my father and myself. We got about three text notices that the course started at 10:00. We got there at 9:50 and were told it didn't start until 10:30. Then, the instructor walked in and talked to friends and such in front of us until 10:45. So we had already been waiting almost an hour before the class started. Also, we had to pay an additional range fee that wasn't discussed so my bday present to my dad just got more expensive. Ok, the class was 70% of Kevin talking himself up and 30% learning. I understand that he was trying to show us how ignorant we are and how awesome he is, but I'm pretty sure we were in the beginner course because we already knew we were dumb. We didn't need to be made to feel that way repeatedly. He'd ask a question only to yell "wrong!" or "no!" It didn't matter if we answered correctly, he'd find a way to tell us we were wrong. Then, he smoked cigarettes the whole time he talked and the wind blew it in our faces. Now to the shooting. It took a loooong time of listening to how amazing he is and watching videos of him shoot at targets that we couldn't care less about. I had actually already watched the videos when I signed up for the course because I thought he was going to be a great instructor like the reviews stated. He was GREAT at helping us hold the guns and show us appropriate posture. He gave very thorough instructions and I was much more comfortable with my gun afterwards. The kicker? The whole time we were there, he loaded my gun for me. I thought "wow, that's really nice of him." At the end of the class, he pointed out to everyone that he had done it solely because I was female and he "would have been there all day" if he had let me load my own magazine. He didn't once even let me load my own. It was ridiculous. As a former boxer and bodybuilder, it took a lot not to get a little violent right then and there. Watch out, ladies. Your lack of male genitalia apparently keeps you from putting a bullet in a magazine. My dad was pretty upset so we just prayed that if he didn't have any daughters he's raised believing crap like that about themselves.
