TD bank sucks, this location especially. Terrible customer service.
They don't tell you that you you're being charged for going under 100 dollars(I had 97 a few days) until a month later, so when you've sent your rent check they hit you with ANOTHER 35 dollar fee on top of the 14 dollar one that apparently occurred last month but wasn't charged until a month later.
Furthermore, I called about the initial charge and they were like "we have no idea why this is here, we need to look into it, we'll call you back" -- TWO WEEKS LATER I still didn't have my money back OR got a call back.... SO THAT IS WHY I WENT OVER. After calling 2 more times yesterday I got put on hold for 15 minutes and hung up. I drove over today, and it was a total waste of time -- as soon as I got there they told me to expect another 14 dollar fee next month.
There's no doubt I'm being charged for their inability to get back to me when I initially called. I am ROARING with anger right now.
This unexpected charge stuff has happened many times on my account, but in the past they've always said it was a mistake. It happened twice last year, including when I've had well over 1000 dollars in my account, and I didn't speak up about it. In other words, a bunch of these charges have been BS; it happened when I was younger and the Reading bank took the charges right away.
However corporate TD must be cracking down on how much money they can take from people who really don't make any; they must really want to reach into people's pockets who can't afford to keep 100 dollars in their account.
Thanks TD bank, I'm a teacher aide with 2 degrees and I make 16,000 dollars a year; but I'm glad you're cool with taking another 69 dollars of mine this month: 2 14 dollar fees, a 35 dollar fee, and now 5 dollars a month for the account so I can go under 100 dollars when I'm broke from BS fees.
