Truth be told it's been a really long time since I've actually stepped into a physical branch of the TD Bank. With the one closest to my home having closed up around the time of the pandemic the only other option was one that is about 11 or so blocks walk with a couple of avenues tossed in as well. All that aside I did find myself needing to drop in because I still had a very old bankcard and needed to replace this and make sure the very latest information was on file for me just in case of emergencies. After checking in at the self-check in kiosk, I sat in a comfortable chair and waited my turn. It was mid afternoon and not too crowded and I was third up. Once I got to the branch representative that was to help me I was able to sort out my issue of the bankcard and get any modifications that needed to be reflected on my account done I was off. The whole experience was smooth as silk and the representative very cordial. As a consumer who pretty much uses online and mobile devices for everything, its not a regular occurrence to stop into a branch. At this point I'd rather pay with a card or mobile than even use hand cash. Personal preference of course but I do like using TD Bank. read more

This shouldn't be an accomplishment but this is one of the few banks on Fifth Avenue that doesn't have homeless people sleeping inside of it, at night. I only recently added a secondary account here and have come here on a few occasions to take out some quick cash. The space is always neat and they have three ATMs although on my first occasion here, only two were working. My only other issue is they just seem to close very early because last Friday when I passed by, there was no staff inside and it wasn't even 6PM yet. Other than that, the bank is decent and fits my limited needs. read more

I had accounts at previous banks and was always disappointed with the service. I've been at TD now for over 5 years and finally found a bank that really cares, especially the manager, Grace. who is super knowledgeable, caring and patient. and deserves much more than 5 stars. In addition, every single teller always has a smile, a hello and is very efficient. I have been in business for 48 years and truly appreciate the employers at TD on Fifth Ave he and 82nd Street. They all deserve to be complimented. Helena De Paola. Owner of Indoor Outdoor Gardener read more

Do not bank here. They are refusing you service even if you're vaccinated unless you wear a mask. They were rude and when I tried to speak to the manager they stood against the door so I couldn't enter. People this irrational should not have your money! read more

Customer Service isn't the best in this branch. There seems to be a line every time I come here. The only three good things I like in this bank are the free pens, the coin machine to change your coins for paper money, and the free doggie treats. read more

I went to the bank today in need of a notary public. The gentleman who greets people at the front door, was rude and not helpful. I asked first if there was a notary and he said I don't know. I said we called and was told yes. He then went to a blond woman at the desk to the left of the entrance. When he came back to me he said yes but there will be a long wait. Then I asked can you find out if the branch on 4th avenue, had a notary, so we can park in the lot and my husband can then wait with me. He then said you have to call. I said well can you check for me and he said no. Then I said that he was not helpful and very rude to not speak to me. I called the other branch they did not have a notary and I left. I went to a pharmacy on third avenue where they were very helpful and polite. I though TD Bank prided themselves in their customer service. I guess they lied! read more

Been awhile since I dealt with TD but needed a new account. Had me waiting a long time with no one in the place. Seriously, why am I waiting if there is not even a line for the desk. Had a offer for bonus if I opened new account but could not do it here because the reps were not from this branch. Went down the block and had new account opened in ten minutes. Always liked past dealings with TD but this branch is worse than any other. Customer service is lacking. read more

I only give this place 3 stars. The ONLY positive thing about the place was an amazing teller today ashref (I think that's how it's spelled) who was so efficient and helpful with my transaction. I came from philly to visit family in BK and my phone dies. Being away from home I needed to charge my phone- I had a charger but no outlet. Obviously for security reasons he couldn't charge in the back but his seniors said I needed to find an outlet. I am standing right in front of them and they couldn't even make eye contact with me. Americas convenient bank? Apparently NOT since I was an inconvenience to THEM. Ashrifs warm attitude and polite manner left me leaving in smiles. Which apparently is rare at this branch according to these Yelp reviews. read more

Opened up a checking account here not to long ago. Friendly staff tellers bankers etc...but shall we say not the brightest bulbs by far. So, if you don't mind an IQ bell curve of an average of 81 and you hold a lot of patience in your wallet with a few extra quid to open up what should be an incredible simple task but takes forever.....This place is for you!!! On a positive note they are open Sundays read more

TD Bank - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

The customer service at this bank is horrendous. I called twice today hoping to speak to someone who would be helpful and Irene who was answering the phone would not do anything to make my experience better. All she kept saying was I have to come into the bank to resolve the matter when I already went to the bank to resolve the same matter last month; which was closing a box I had at the branch. They specifically said it was taken care of and I wouldn't be charged and I got the same charge today on my account. I have a job and work late it is not fair that I have to waste my time and go back to this branch because Irene is not trained properly in her job. I specifically spoke to customer service and they said the branch can resolve this issue over the phone. Also when I asked IRENE to speak to a supervisor she said no one comes in till tomorrow night. I never heard of there not being someone else in the bank to speak with. Irene showed laziness, poor work ethic, poor communication, and I also will be leaving a complaint to cooperate TD on the staff that currently does not do their job at TD. I wind up coming into the bank speaking with Sherihan and she said she couldn't do anything because it didn't post. I said but the money was taking out of my account so how can u not be able to refund me. She said to call tomorrow and she will take care of this matter over the phone when it post so I wouldn't have to come in. I called the bank today and asked to speak with her and they told me she DOES NOT COME IN TILL TUESDAY! This is absolute insanity that she lied. read more

I just stepped in this branch to retrieve my company online account password. Right by the door a lady (K) told me why I am not calling to the customer service very rudely. I put my name on the list, waited at least 20 mins and representative told me (D) that she can't help me, her supervisor told her that I have to use the phone, they cannot waste their time with calling. How rude? I did call, eventually customer representative on the phone couldn't help me because I needed my latest transactions which I can't access to see. So waited again in the list for a representative at the branch. Horrible experience if they eager to help me in the first place everything would be easier but somehow I don't know why they are not willing to help. I never write review in anything but this time I'm really pissed. read more

Does TD stand for Too Dumb? My Mom passed away, and I am the executor of her estate. The estate received a check from the State of New Jersey, making the check to me as the executor with the name of the estate in the memo column. The bank opened an account with my name and the estate name months ago, so its not like I'm a stranger to them. Now they will not accept that check for deposit. I wasn't even trying to withdraw, just deposit. On a positive note, if they ever got held up, they wouldn't honor the stick up note either. Shame on you folks for running around grieving family members. read more

Horrible customer service! The staff who assisted me was highly unprofessional and rude. I went to this location planning to open a convenient checking account. So, the staff put in the wrong information in the system and she wanted me to sign the document with the wrong information on it. It doesn't make sense for me to sign a document with the wrong information, so I refused to sign it unless she can fix it. She refused to fix it and demanded me to sign the document. So, I didn't open the account after all. This is highly unprofessional in the banking industry. read more

If I can possibly give it zero stars I would! There were two customers at the counter along with the two tellers when I walked in. Filled out my slip and now I was the first and only one on line. I'm watching a third person overlooking the two tellers. Five minutes okay looks like they're almost done. Nope wrong another 5 minutes and now I'm texting my husband that they suck. Oh now I call him and tell him I'm going home. This is ridiculous and now close to another 5 minutes. I turn around and see the line is long. I decide to rip up my slip and leave. I keep telling my husband to close the account and go back to Capital One yes Capital One! I'm saying Capital One is the best and I'm so happy with the service from any branch I go to. I'm praising another bank on this review because Capital One is the One!!!!! read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Negative stars. Have you ever read Dante's Inferno? The writer descends through the nine circles of hell, starting with purgatory. Well this bank isn't purgatory. It's the ninth circle of hell. The phrase of TD Bank is "America's Most Convenient Bank." It seems this branch took that as a challenge. This place regularly has a long line, and it's not because they are awash with clients. The two oldest business account relations ladies are incompetent, bordering on absentmindedly negligent, even helpless. The reason I say this is because: 1) after meeting with the oldest (the one who claimed to have "over ten years of banking experience", lets call her Head honcho) she promised me she would put in a request for my account/deposit summary. This is a standard, basic statement. I left her my cell phone number to contact me when she received it. When I called three days later, someone else answered, and informed me that not only was this statement not available, but that I would need to come back, and sign a form requesting for it. This begs the question: why didn't head honcho have me sign this form from the beginning? 2) I returned to the branch, and waited for forty minutes, before being served by a new girl, who had no experience and couldn't help me. 3) I had to wait for another ten minutes for the second most senior person, M, who also could not help me. She was nice enough, but helpless. 4)Luckily head honcho was sitting near her, although she could not meet my eyes. When I confronted her about her lack of following through, she blamed the company for "moving files around every year." That's a poor excuse, especially for someone who claims to be the most senior person, and have ten years of experience. After five minutes of searching, she found it. Doesn't seem to be that hard to find. The icing on the cake was when, after signing the request form, M asked if I wanted to open a personal account. I coolly informed her that I had opened one five years ago, but had closed it within the year. All in all the total amount of time to get this statement was about 2.5 hours, so in terms of convenience, it ties with the Bank of China. Good job TD Bank! You're tied with a bank from a country notorious for bureaucracy, corruption, and incompetence. tldr; Don't got to this place. If you have an account, you know how terrible they are. Close your account, and move somewhere else, because I promise you, that hassle pales in comparison with dealing with this terrible, terrible branch, filled with the blind managing the blind. read more

Worst customer service. I waited a few minutes to see a personal banker to open a new account. I had gone through the long process then at the very end the banker asked for a deposit. I told her I would deposit the funds later in the day. At this point she tells me we can no longer open the account even though she had given me checks and an account number. She takes away the data with all of my personal information and puts it in a draw. This is very unsafe and illegal. This branch needs to be put out of its misery. They are not SEC compliant. This branch has terrible staff and terrible management. read more

My husband and I were happy valley national customers on third Ave, but we are moving upstate to a town where there is no valley national, so we decided to open a TD account. We probably won't give up just yet but I'm already regretting it. Very poor costumer service, tellers are rude and disrespectful. closing my bank account a soon as i can.

This was once a bank called Commerce Bank and it was amazing. Free checking and great cust service. I used this bank only for online transactions and had another bank for main banking. I kept between 50-300 dollars in my account because it was only for online activity and purchases like paypal. Then TD consumed this bank. I was assured the policies would remain the same. Alas, it was a lie. I was charged by box.net AFTER i canceled my account because of a security breach. I was not expecting a charge so I had not added to my account to cover it and addition of monies would have gone in later that week. This charge created a bounce at TD. I went down and explained this issue and how it was an accident on the part of the seller and not on my end. I asked that they remove the charge on my account that left me in negatives. The representative told me too bad, TD will no amend this problem and I owed them. I explained, at the moment due to the unemployment of my husband and I , we could not afford this. The representative told me it should be easy to get a job. After exhaustive job searches this insensitive remark caused me to explode into tears and cancel my account. I called TD central to explain why I have canceled my account and they apologised profusely and offered to reimburse if I cancel, the account cancellation. I agreed. WORST MISTAKE EVER. I was not informed that they also would be implementing a new policy. No free checking if account is under $100. I had deposited a little less than 100 into account and had not realised that due to monthly fees they emptied my account and then added another nearly $60 in fees in the few months I left my $ TO LINGER. I wasn't purchasing anything and had no auto payments so I didn't realise what had happened until I got a letter from them saying I owe them. The letter instructed I call a number to rectify this before they take action against me in 30 days. I did so numerous times. Either I was sent to an unending hold or hung up on. This went on a little bit longer than a month until I got so frustrated that I went down to open another account at a local bank before I go to TD as it was on my way. I was informed I was unable to get an account with ANY bank because TD put me on CHEXSYSTEMS for FRAUD/THEFT. I went down to TD to pay them IN PERSON and straighten this out. The manager that helped me had a problem herself with taking my payment and had to go in through a backdoor to make payment on my behalf. And despite payment, I remain on this chexsystem. TD refuses to unlist me. This trashed my credit even more than the affects of unemployment. NO BANK WILL ALLOW M E TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT now. DO NOT USE TD BANK. THEY INSULT, STEAL, and then ask you to pay for the theft while destroying your credit. read more
