We got into the store at around 4:40 PM, waited on the line and when we got to the representative, they refused to exchange the money due to the vault being closed at 4:45PM. They said that I needed to be there before 4:45 to be able to exchange the coins for cash. This was on a Friday, and considering most people work during Monday-Friday and also usually work during the hours that banks are open, I took off of work early to be able to get to the bank before they closed. I was told that my transaction could not happen, even when I was in the store and on line during the normal business hours, but did not get to a representative until a little before 5PM (I remember it was before 5pm that I got to the representative since she asked me to wait for a minute so she can ask her coworker to close the doors once the clock hit 5PM.) This was very upsetting, especially since there was an employee (the same employee she asked to close the doors at 5PM) who was walking around doing other tasks, and they even helped the person on line BEHIND me on line before I even got to the counter. There were multiple people on line after me as well, so to be told they couldn't help us but were still taking clients is ridiculous. I am definitely going to be closing my account with this company and switching to a new bank due to the carelessness and terrible service I have received at this location. I have a recording of the end of the interaction if anyone from management wants to reach out and see how the interaction was handled.

Most recently, I came in here for three things, and they literally couldn't do anything. Document notarization (which is a simple ID check and stamp of approval) take 15-30 minutes here, and ONLY here, because of "procedures" they allegedly have to follow. Because I didn't have an appointment - which is ridiculous anyway...this is a bank branch, not a doctor's office - I got an earful from the manager for that and was told they were very busy and to "come back later" even though I was literally the only customer in the branch. (Fast forward 20 minutes, I was in and out of the Citibank across the street in less than 3 minutes with the notarization). Next, I wanted to close a Merrill account, something I would have figured the guy at the Merrill desk should be able to do...nope. I had to call another number. While I was in the branch, I was curious about a "foreign transaction fee" on one of my BofA credit cards, but as you probably guessed, they were useless yet again. Finally, when depositing via teller, why is a paper slip with full name, address, city, state, ZIP, and phone number necessary when a card swipe does all that for you (and not to mention, the ATM doesn't request same)? This is part a knock at the holier than thou attitude of the managers that work here, but also part feedback towards bank practices that are long overdue to be modernized. Final thought: if the branch is supposed to be the walk-in friendly, client facing side of the business, equip the staff with the training and tools to, you know, actually do stuff...
