Would never use them again. I do not recommend them at all. Approximate $20k job for sod/irrigation, path & wall finish installation. Sloppy work that is permanent - there is colored stucco splattered all along my 100' wall atop the flagstone. White stucco coloring splatter on my wooden & block garden boxes that wasn't cleaned. Various stucco puddles on the ground where equipment was cleaned - cleaning it myself. Gophers already eating grass because wire didn't go beyond grass edge - fixing myself. Pointed out the work quality to his face and did not like the truth and left the job unfinished. I've got a laundry list of shortcomings. Did not get what I paid for. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Teri and his team. We had been away and came back to our home that had flooded due to a faulty sprinkler system. We had mentioned some issues to our previous landscaper and he told us it was just an issue with the batteries in the sprinkler system and he would change them out. WRONG!!! There was a major leak in the system and it had been flooding for weeks and weeks causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to the interior of our home - the water had gone underground because French Pipes had not been installed correctly. Teri and his team took control. They had to start from scratch, repave etc. They installed a sprinkler system with solar panels- genius - and we have peace of mind. THANK GOD for Teri! I have been a fan of TCT landscaping for a few years now. Driving by their jobs or seeing pictures online. I never thought I would have the opportunity to use them, But dreams do come true! My husband decided to remove a few trees and add a patio. I ask him to call TCT for a bid. Terry returned our call within 30 min. That was the first good sign! He came by shortly, we showed him around, told him our ideas. He listened, then gave us a few more ideas, an suggestions. We came up with a plan, he gave us a bid and timeline. After a short delay due to rain, his crew showed! They were GREAT! On time everyday, cleaned up everything at the end of the day. Took pride in their work and did a marvelous job. 5 star views are a joke. SERIOUSLY. If you value your money and time at all, do not hire Terry and TCT Landscaping. At first all is well. He comes out to the house discusses the plan and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy about working together on the project. But then you give him money to secure you spot, and that's where it all goes down hill. There is no oversight, actual work takes 5 times longer than it should, so many excuses and the work is done poorly. Actually, that's not 100% true. His crew is fairly good at stone work. But that really is where it stops. We have spent so much money having to repair the work he did - replacement plants because gopher cages weren't used, replacement plants because the drop system was done wrong, replacement plants because they were planted incorrectly (too low, not enough dirt, etc). Issues with wiring for our lighting. Issues with drainage. The list goes on and on. We hired him twice, I guess the joke is on me. So if I can spare anyone else the wasted money and time, I hope this helps. read more

Then we found TCT Landscaping. Terry came to our house to look at the space and hear our ideas so he could provide us with a quote that was within budget. He was very kind and courteous and helped us figure out exactly what it it was we wanted. Once we scheduled, my expectations were totally blown away! On the first day, Terry and his crew arrived for demo and were done in record time. At our request, they removed a concrete pad, irrigation system, lawn, and several stumps from a hedge we had taken out. What would have taken us weeks to do on our own took them mere hours that morning. We were in awe of how quickly and accurately they worked. When they were laying out the flagstone for the patio, Terry kept in contact so we could make adjustments where we wanted before it was cemented in. We never felt like the project moved on ahead without us, and we were able to give our input every step of the way. The finished patio is more than I could have dreamed of. It turned out beautifully. Soon they will return to put in an updated drip system for our plants. My yard was once a great source of stress for me, but it has been transformed into a space I want to spend my free time in. read more

We hired Terry to transform our home's dirt backyard & hillside into a idyllic wine country retreat with swim spa, outdoor firepit, and vineyard. Terry suggested flagstone as the primary flooring which turned out to be a lovely & practical choice. Think of Terry as both a general contractor and the manager of his own crew. He and his excellent employees handle most of the work including design, flagstone, plantings, drainage, watering while he uses reliable contractors for carpentry & electrical. Terry's an excellent choice if your goal is to hire someone to get the whole outdoor job implemented beautifully without having to spend too much effort as the homeowner in the details. The job did take longer than expected to complete, but that feels reasonable in hindsight after seeing the end result (and of course that job was completed during a pandemic). Terry, owner of TCT, and the entire TCT crew, were wonderful. We live on .5 acre and we were on a tight schedule to landscape the back yard (about .3 acre ) which, to my surprise, Terry said they could accommodate. Over about a 5-6 week period this past July and most of August, the team worked to meet our deadline of late August. During this period I was gone 2 weeks and had to trust that Terry's vision would align with ours. We had a specific wish list: NO GRASS, only permeable hardscape (lime dust base, gravel, stone and Polymeric sand (or stone dust) drought tolerant natives and mediterraneans but also using a few roses we already had on hand, several somewhat large rocks strategically placed, a tall pot/urn fountain, a gas fire pit, up-lighting in our 3 large trees, and smaller perimeter lights along some hedges. He suggested, and we agreed, that utilizing slate stone we already owned would save us money. We wanted gravel patio's with interesting native plantings, and somehow - with all of this - make our flat yard look unique and interesting. But how to do this on our budget...? Terry and the TCT crew set about demo-ing our existing dirt yard and laying out our stone hardscape in the heat of this Summer. I was anxious that they wouldn't make the deadline but Terry's resolve never wavered. He said it would be done 2 days before our Saturday deadline - and it was. They used the 2 additional days to fine-tune and attend to a punch list, and our yard looked great for our event. In the end, based on our conversations and brainstorming, Terry was on time, on budget, and managed to give us something that we're so happy with. A few monetary overages were due to our added requests. Yes, there are still a couple of punch-list items that need tweaking and Terry is handling it. You can see a couple of early photos, but I'm excited to see how the yard evolves in the years to come when things mature. I would recommend TCT to anyone. read more

We moved into our new home and TCT Landscaping was recommended. We called and Terry quickly returned our call and setup a meeting. We met and I knew immediately that Terry would be a person I could work with. He took my ideas and came up with a design. He told us it would be a fluid project and we could tweak things as work was being done. He quickly gave us his bid and we accepted. He had a blank slate as this was new construction. They cut back the hill in our back and front yards and built beautiful bolder walls. We have flagstone patios, walkways and a beautiful sitting area with a gas fire pit. He suggested that the kitchen be built on the side to open up the backyard and keep smoke from entering the house. As work was being done they quickly addressed any and all of my concerns. I have no clue why this landscaper received such glowing reviews unless he has friends reviewing him. He had done several homes in Skyitt Mesa way over charged, didn't complete work, sloppy workmanship, wanted me to not let city inspector in my yard to review his work which was not to code. Terrible, terrible, terrible con artist. BEWARE. I finally had to kick him off my property and threatened to have police arrest him if he returned. He lies and says he landscaped certain properties I found out later he didn't. My neighbors complain but I am the first one to take the time to write him up. read more

We started with a blank patio area behind our condo, and wanted something relaxing, easy to maintain, and dog friendly. Terry came with a design proposal that met all of that. Turf for our dog, succulents for my wife, and installed a watering system to keep it all healthy without any intervention. He even came back several times to check on the plants and install a hose splitter for us. I went out there today and just felt a sense of zen relaxation. His team were very quiet and didn't disturb us during the work (we have an infant), and they finished it quickly. My only complaint is that he is quite busy and he wasn't able to start as quickly as we hoped. I would definitely use him again for my next project. read more
