We called TCT Landscaping after working with 2 others that cost us a lot of $ and got us nowhere. Terry came to the rescue!! Our only regret is that we didn't call them sooner!! Terry immediately met with us in person, understood our frustration & developed a plan for our backyard that was within our budget. He included a gorgeous waterfall & pond that will be home to a few goldfish. Also an elevated flagstone patio with a firepit that gives us a gorgeous view we didn't have previously & more. Every step of the way Terry communicated with us what the team planned to accomplish that day. They all worked long hours, efficiently and always cleaned at the end of the day. Did it take a while? Yes it did but that's not unusual for large, custom projects. Terry was also extremely kind and flexible when we made changes along the way. Carlynn was a great help choosing plants, very knowledgeable & she also put together a plan for our front yard. She's very bright & capable & we liked her suggestions. We absolutely love our yard & look forward to seeing the plants fully grown. Now that the work is over, we miss seeing all of them!! read more

TCT made our property into a showplace. We struggled with high water bills, an ever-thirsty lawn and an unusable back yard cluttered with tree debris and gopher holes. Now we have a wine valley paradise with walking paths, a fire-pit, organic veggie boxes, olive trees and beautifully mounded plantings. TCT even stepped in to do exquisite masonry work on our custom fence project. A big thank you to Terry and guys! read more

Would never use them again. I do not recommend them at all. Approximate $20k job for sod/irrigation, path & wall finish installation. Sloppy work that is permanent - there is colored stucco splattered all along my 100' wall atop the flagstone. White stucco coloring splatter on my wooden & block garden boxes that wasn't cleaned. Various stucco puddles on the ground where equipment was cleaned - cleaning it myself. Gophers already eating grass because wire didn't go beyond grass edge - fixing myself. Pointed out the work quality to his face and did not like the truth and left the job unfinished. I've got a laundry list of shortcomings. Did not get what I paid for. read more

Terry and the crew did a fantastic job on our back yard drainage, new back patio and fire pit. The workers were respectful of our property, easy to work with, and Terry was very communicative answering all questions and addressing any concerns that came up. We would recommend! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Teri and his team. We had been away and came back to our home that had flooded due to a faulty sprinkler system. We had mentioned some issues to our previous landscaper and he told us it was just an issue with the batteries in the sprinkler system and he would change them out. WRONG!!! There was a major leak in the system and it had been flooding for weeks and weeks causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to the interior of our home - the water had gone underground because French Pipes had not been installed correctly. Teri and his team took control. They had to start from scratch, repave etc. They installed a sprinkler system with solar panels- genius - and we have peace of mind. THANK GOD for Teri! We have since hired Teri's garden and grounds landscaping team lead by Andrew and it's like night and day compared to what we had before. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Teri and Andrew! read more

TCT Landscaping turned my backyard into a beautiful wonderland. Terry read my mind and created a treehouse and beautiful backyard that came right out of a dream. My yard is huge, almost an acre and it has been home to weeds and gophers for nearly 40 years, now it looks like a resort! I have trees and flowers and a meandering path that takes you to a fire pit, garden boxes, fruit trees, a gate to the park or a beautiful treehouse! My grandchildren love the treehouse!! They eat, sleep and play out there all day and night. I love the way the trees and path are lit at night. I love that everything is automatic and I don't have to worry about watering. read more

I'm very happy with the work done at my home by TCT Landscaping. Terry listened to my initial ideas and then worked within my budget to create a beautiful & functional space to enjoy with my family. He was extremely responsive, and the crew was fast and produced high-quality work (I love the arbor!). I had just brought home a newborn, so I appreciated how little I was needed in person - they just came in and did the work without much disturbance (we used email to answer any questions). I've already recommended them to a friend! I can't wait to do more with the space when time and budget allows! read more

Update: The awesome guys at TCT Landscaping finished up our fence for our yard. They made coordinating between four neighbors without a fence for a bit, a great experience, and their work is amazing. They put a big double gate on our side of house that is beautiful. They cleaned up and were timely. We will use them again and again. We love TCT! read more

TCT Landscaping is INCREDIBLE! I could not be more pleased with their work they did. My entire backyard was transformed and it now feels like a resort. Terry took a plan that I had in mind and elevated it to be so much more than I ever could have imagined. He created flow and different moments throughout the yard. More than being just really pleased with how everything looks, his team worked insanely fast and hard, they were a pleasure to be in business with, and Terry was always in communication. I never wondered or worried about a thing. I couldn't be happier with the choice to go with TCT. We added a large pergola, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, lots of hardscape, and a bocce court. He even was able to repurpose some turf we had to make it feel perfectly part of the design. Most importantly, the price he quoted me never changed. I LOVE my decision to go with TCT!!! Thank you Terry and team!!! Hire them immediately. read more

TCT Landscaping helped us create our dream backyard. Terry and his team worked with us every step of the way and helped bring our vision to life. They absolutely transformed our backyard! This was the hardest working crew I've ever seen. At the end of every workday they cleaned up and left everything neat and tidy. While they were working, they were always happy, cheerful, and considerate of us. If we had questions they were helpful and willing to work with us when if we wanted a change or adjustment to any part of the project. The final result was far beyond what we could have imagined! Our yard went from someplace we never cared to spend any time in to a place that we can't get enough of. Thank you TCT Landscaping for making our dream come true! read more

Terry and his crew are wonderful to work with! Having been quoted far over our budget by other landscaping companies, we didn't think we would ever be able to finish our backyard patio. Then we found TCT Landscaping. Terry came to our house to look at the space and hear our ideas so he could provide us with a quote that was within budget. He was very kind and courteous and helped us figure out exactly what it it was we wanted. Once we scheduled, my expectations were totally blown away! On the first day, Terry and his crew arrived for demo and were done in record time. At our request, they removed a concrete pad, irrigation system, lawn, and several stumps from a hedge we had taken out. What would have taken us weeks to do on our own took them mere hours that morning. We were in awe of how quickly and accurately they worked. When they were laying out the flagstone for the patio, Terry kept in contact so we could make adjustments where we wanted before it was cemented in. We never felt like the project moved on ahead without us, and we were able to give our input every step of the way. The finished patio is more than I could have dreamed of. It turned out beautifully. Soon they will return to put in an updated drip system for our plants. My yard was once a great source of stress for me, but it has been transformed into a space I want to spend my free time in. read more

I really cannot say enough wonderful things about TLT Landscaping. They took my wild and unruly yard and turned it into a Heaven on earth, and continue to keep it that way. I just love the guys "can do" attitude its so rare and refreshing. After pruning one of my Apples trees that had not produced in years, Im getting apples galore. The are the Best! read more

I have been a fan of TCT landscaping for a few years now. Driving by their jobs or seeing pictures online. I never thought I would have the opportunity to use them, But dreams do come true! My husband decided to remove a few trees and add a patio. I ask him to call TCT for a bid. Terry returned our call within 30 min. That was the first good sign! He came by shortly, we showed him around, told him our ideas. He listened, then gave us a few more ideas, an suggestions. We came up with a plan, he gave us a bid and timeline. After a short delay due to rain, his crew showed! They were GREAT! On time everyday, cleaned up everything at the end of the day. Took pride in their work and did a marvelous job. They went above and beyond doing anything we ask. (If your a fan of Credence Clearwater you're in luck too, as they played their music on the radio.) Terry came by daily to check in and see if we were happy with the job or needed anything. I was kind of sad when the job was finished as we will miss them all. Thank you to TCT landscaping, for a patio that will be enjoyed by generations. read more

5 star views are a joke. SERIOUSLY. If you value your money and time at all, do not hire Terry and TCT Landscaping. At first all is well. He comes out to the house discusses the plan and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy about working together on the project. But then you give him money to secure you spot, and that's where it all goes down hill. There is no oversight, actual work takes 5 times longer than it should, so many excuses and the work is done poorly. Actually, that's not 100% true. His crew is fairly good at stone work. But that really is where it stops. We have spent so much money having to repair the work he did - replacement plants because gopher cages weren't used, replacement plants because the drop system was done wrong, replacement plants because they were planted incorrectly (too low, not enough dirt, etc). Issues with wiring for our lighting. Issues with drainage. The list goes on and on. We hired him twice, I guess the joke is on me. So if I can spare anyone else the wasted money and time, I hope this helps. read more

Terry's crew came in and did a great job. I kept telling me kids each day after they left, how many days it would have taken us if we did it on our own. By the end I think I estimated about 45 days at least and it would never have turned out as great as it did. The crew was hard-working, and asked my opinion about placement when needed. We're really happy with the results and get glowing compliments from friends and family who have seen it. Thanks for transforming our yard into something we'll use even more! read more

We hired Terry to transform our home's dirt backyard & hillside into a idyllic wine country retreat with swim spa, outdoor firepit, and vineyard. Terry suggested flagstone as the primary flooring which turned out to be a lovely & practical choice. Think of Terry as both a general contractor and the manager of his own crew. He and his excellent employees handle most of the work including design, flagstone, plantings, drainage, watering while he uses reliable contractors for carpentry & electrical. Terry's an excellent choice if your goal is to hire someone to get the whole outdoor job implemented beautifully without having to spend too much effort as the homeowner in the details. The job did take longer than expected to complete, but that feels reasonable in hindsight after seeing the end result (and of course that job was completed during a pandemic). The project price was fair (not cheap) and came in at the exact amount quoted in the bid. read more

Wow, I just read that review from the lady who expressed displeasure with Terry's work. No I am not a friend or relative of Terry's. I'm a consumer who has invested a lot of money and time in improving our house. I am VERY satisfied with his vision in creating a project and the follow-through. Good work takes time. We're the kind of people who appreciate and enjoy life. We enjoy being at peace with others. Now we have a beautiful front courtyard and backyard in which to spend time with friends and family. We are very satisfied. We've gotten lots of compliments. (Maybe HER review was written by a competitor.). BTW, we live in Buellton--don't know why it says Walnut Creek. read more

Wow. Terry, the owner of TCT is fabulous. He does everything a great contractor should, and more. He and his crew showed up when they said they were going to. They were respectful of me and my property. They cleaned up at the end of their work days. Terry kept me informed, every day, of what was going to happen next, and made himself available to me anytime I had questions or new ideas. He was personable, and a pleasure to have around. When I initially hired him, I already had a plan for my yard. He offered some alternative ideas, without being pushy, and truly listened to me. His ideas were terrific, and I absolutely love, love, love my new front yard. It's been totally transformed from a simple, water guzzling lawn, to sheer beauty. I have been recommending him to everyone. read more

Terry and his team did an excellent job on our backyard project (consisted of gravel, irrigation, electrical, fencing, artificial grass, gopher wire, flagstone wet set on concrete). The project was executed per our expectations, on time (start and duration), and on budget. Terry was very helpful and communicative throughout; from initial planning phase through completion. The workmanship is excellent, the staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful, and the knowledge and experience Terry provides is outstanding. I highly recommend TCT for anyone requiring landscaping needs. read more

Terry, owner of TCT, and the entire TCT crew, were wonderful. We live on .5 acre and we were on a tight schedule to landscape the back yard (about .3 acre ) which, to my surprise, Terry said they could accommodate. Over about a 5-6 week period this past July and most of August, the team worked to meet our deadline of late August. During this period I was gone 2 weeks and had to trust that Terry's vision would align with ours. We had a specific wish list: NO GRASS, only permeable hardscape (lime dust base, gravel, stone and Polymeric sand (or stone dust) drought tolerant natives and mediterraneans but also using a few roses we already had on hand, several somewhat large rocks strategically placed, a tall pot/urn fountain, a gas fire pit, up-lighting in our 3 large trees, and smaller perimeter lights along some hedges. He suggested, and we agreed, that utilizing slate stone we already owned would save us money. We wanted gravel patio's with interesting native plantings, and somehow - with all of this - make our flat yard look unique and interesting. But how to do this on our budget...? Terry and the TCT crew set about demo-ing our existing dirt yard and laying out our stone hardscape in the heat of this Summer. I was anxious that they wouldn't make the deadline but Terry's resolve never wavered. He said it would be done 2 days before our Saturday deadline - and it was. They used the 2 additional days to fine-tune and attend to a punch list, and our yard looked great for our event. In the end, based on our conversations and brainstorming, Terry was on time, on budget, and managed to give us something that we're so happy with. A few monetary overages were due to our added requests. Yes, there are still a couple of punch-list items that need tweaking and Terry is handling it. You can see a couple of early photos, but I'm excited to see how the yard evolves in the years to come when things mature. I would recommend TCT to anyone. read more

Terry and his wonderful crew of talented stone masons and landscapers did a outstanding job of creating our ideal "Better Homes and Gardens" magazine worthy front and back yards. He used beautiful flagstone walkways to connect the front and back yards and coordinated the installations of our new hot tub and pergola as well as artificial grass. He created a beautiful, large patio and increased the size of our planters as well as installed a pole for our exterior lighting. We were delighted with the way he listened to our needs and was flexible to make slight changes along the way. He and his crew operate in an a kind, proficient, and professional manner. We moved into our new home and TCT Landscaping was recommended. We called and Terry quickly returned our call and setup a meeting. We met and I knew immediately that Terry would be a person I could work with. He took my ideas and came up with a design. He told us it would be a fluid project and we could tweak things as work was being done. He quickly gave us his bid and we accepted. He had a blank slate as this was new construction. They cut back the hill in our back and front yards and built beautiful bolder walls. We have flagstone patios, walkways and a beautiful sitting area with a gas fire pit. He suggested that the kitchen be built on the side to open up the backyard and keep smoke from entering the house. As work was being done they quickly addressed any and all of my concerns. His crew was very courteous and cleaned up every day. They even blew the front and back every day prior to leaving. The project took a little longer than Terry projected but the end result is outstanding. We are thrilled with the yard and highly recommend TCT Landscaping. read more

We moved to a new home located on Skytt Mesa in Solvang in June, 2017. After taking bids from several landscape contractors and going out to see what their work looked like, we chose TCT Landscaping for our front and backyards. Terry developed a terrific plan and he and I did a lot of tinkering and tuning as the project proceeded towards completion. Terry and his crew did a great job, were fun to work with, and when I needed help, he was always ready and willing to give me a hand. I like Terry and give him high praise. read more

We LOVE our beautiful backyard created by Terry and his team at TCT Landscaping! We had a landscape design for our almost 1/2 acre in Skytt Mesa and Terry worked within our budget to get it done. Terry is extremely knowledgeable about various hardscape materials, as well as plants that thrive in the area( we moved from another area). We were able to see the quality of Terry's work beforehand, as many of our neighbors had recommended TCT. A couple of things had really impressed me.. first, Terry is super creative and had so many good ideas, we made some changes to our initial plan which we are so pleased with! Also, we received texts at the beginning of every week, outlining what would be done. I usually had questions and Terry was always right there in my backyard to answer them. He was happy to make any changes to accommodate us and we found him easy to work with. WE ARE VERY HAPPY CUSTOMERS!! read more

We were selling our home and our back yard needed a large dose of zhuzhing up without breaking the bank. Terry has a designer's eye and came up with the PERFECT design to blend with our existing landscaping and new patio. His team was awesome! The stone work was top class. They were super fast and had it ready for our open house. Our house sold that weekend! The buyer fell in love with the backyard! I highly recommend Terry and his team. I have no clue why this landscaper received such glowing reviews unless he has friends reviewing him. He had done several homes in Skyitt Mesa way over charged, didn't complete work, sloppy workmanship, wanted me to not let city inspector in my yard to review his work which was not to code. Terrible, terrible, terrible con artist. BEWARE. I finally had to kick him off my property and threatened to have police arrest him if he returned. He lies and says he landscaped certain properties I found out later he didn't. My neighbors complain but I am the first one to take the time to write him up. read more

After working with TCT for 9 months on a landscaping design and installation project that was contracted to only take 2 months, we were disappointed. TCT takes on too many jobs at the same time and focuses on quantity rather than quality. My suggestion to TCT would be to put some quality control procedures in place, spend time to supervise the work that is being done and to value each project and the clients that put their trust in your company. read more

We started with a blank patio area behind our condo, and wanted something relaxing, easy to maintain, and dog friendly. Terry came with a design proposal that met all of that. Turf for our dog, succulents for my wife, and installed a watering system to keep it all healthy without any intervention. He even came back several times to check on the plants and install a hose splitter for us. I went out there today and just felt a sense of zen relaxation. His team were very quiet and didn't disturb us during the work (we have an infant), and they finished it quickly. My only complaint is that he is quite busy and he wasn't able to start as quickly as we hoped. I would definitely use him again for my next project. read more
