What I like about this place is that they are not chintzy. They are generous with their servings!…read moreIt wasn't immediately apparent from the overhead menus, but 1.) Their pasta dishes - comedically and nostalgically called "Suppa Time" - are served with homemade bread. In these current days, any bread served for free actually matters. But this bread is homemade. 2.) Their salads also come with homemade bread. 3.) All burgers, sandwiches, subs and wraps are served with chips. You can also upgrade to other sides. 4.) You can get not one but two sizes of calzones. 5.) You can also get two sizes of apps and sides: small and large sizes of wings, french fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings and homemade bread. You can choose from 9 types of salads here and 24 pizzas, not including the make-your-own pizzas. I'd love to try most all of the combinations as they look high quality and tasty. As for the calzones and strombolis, I always thought they were the same. Apparently, calzones are circular and crimped like empanadas. Strombolis are rectangular. Both are filled with toppings and cheese. Another thing I was never aware of: Buffalo mozzarella is actually made from Buffalo milk and that is the type of mozzarella they use in their pizzas here. As a foodie, I really always thought Buffalo mozzarella was named as such because it was a big ball of cheese. But it is actually Buffalo milk which they say makes the pizza more creamy. I did not notice a difference but did enjoy my slices. Cantore's Pizza has been under new ownership since Jan 2024. I enjoyed the pizza and good selection of beers and drafts. The slices combo I ate was good. I loved that it was a family atmosphere and people were friendly and festive. I love that you can sit up at the tiny bar and have a draft but shorter patrons, take note: these bar stools are tall.

I stopped for a lunch break at Ming Cheng on Pleasant Street, just south of the downtown area…read more Ming Cheng serves up the standard Chinese dishes, appetizers, and chef's specialties for takeout or dine-in. The prices here are pretty good, most items are priced under $11 with a few special dishes $11.05-$13.75. 25 Daily Combination Platters served with choice of rice and choice of one appetizer are offered for lunch ($5.55-$6.15) and dinner (after 3PM $7.45-$8.05). This is the typical order at the counter Chinese restaurant with self serve booth seating for eating in. The temperature in the dining/waiting area was on the very warm side. The kitchen area is not open, but visible through the revolving door. For takeout, I ordered the Lunch Combo 4: Shrimp Lo Mein with Pork Fried Rice and 2 Chicken Teriyakis. The food was ready in under 10 minutes. The portion of food was a good amount. The lo mein noodles (light yellow) were soft and slightly overdone which had minimal vegetables (carrot & cabbage) and tender soft shrimp (cleaned). The lo mein dish had an unusual sweet taste. The pork fried rice (light tan) was decent, which had a mix of soft firm rice, egg, and tender roast pork cubes. The chicken teriyaki sticks were sweet tasting on the outside and the boneless chicken was chewy consisting of some yellow chicken fat, which I needed to trim off before eating. Overall, the lunch was filling, the price was reasonable (for lunch), and fairly decent and not bad. I may be back in here for lunch. NOTE: No checks accepted, but they accept MC and Visa.

I usually get the same thing, General Tso's Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and two Chicken Teriyaki sticks. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the Chicken on here, so I'm going to put my two cents in. As someone that gets it regularly I quite enjoy it, the sauce is definitely thicker than a lot of other places but it doesn't really bother me that much, it still tastes great! As for the Pork Fried Rice, overall it's got good flavor, can be a little dry from time to time and usually color wise it looks pretty dull but definitely a good option if you're not a fan of white rice. The Chicken Teriyaki is consistently good, it's always tender, moist and flavorful. Overall, although I'm not familiar with all of their food I'd definitely recommend going and trying it yourself!
