It's my second time going to Tattoo people, and on a somewhat walkin basis…read more My requests are somewhat basic as a copypasta and remix type of person. Response time is prompt about tattoos as long as you're clear about what you want You get to discuss the way the tattoo ought to change and they make live edits on the spot. The venue is clean and they seem to take appropriate sanitary precautions. The first time I got a bashful psyduck from a Korean woman who seemed to understand the sensibility I was going for. I had sent 2 reference photos and neither had a full body but she was able to match it very well. We even had the body adjusted so he looked rounder. The next time I got an Iranian artist who took incredible time with the fine lines although I asked for something quite simplistic. I appreciated his attention to detail. Would return.

Exteemely unprofessional customer service. Unreasonable and selfish…read more My mother and I booked in with Lizzie for tattoos for Dec 20th, in November. We arrived at the studio for our scheduled appointment to find the doors locked, and checked our emailbs to pull up her Phone number. once we opened the email we saw that 1.5 hours prior to our scheduled appointment lizzie has emailed with Covid concerns. She stated that as I am a paramedic she was uncomfortable doing my tattoo today due to Covid. While we understand and appreciate concerns of safety and want everyone to be comfortable, we felt that these concerns could have been expressed earlier than 1.5 hours prior to the appointment, and we could have gotten rapid tests or rescheduled. As these concerns were not handled in a professional manner we requested a refund for the 150$ deposit and were told we would not get a refund.

I've gotten tattoos here twice and know a handful of people that have gotten tattoos here as well…read more First of all, both times I've been here the receptionist was SO cute and had such a great personality! I don't remember her name however I did remember her pretty red hair! She was very patient with me as I'm very critical when it comes to tattoo sizing, font, etc. After I chose the correct font, sizing, etc. I was ready to get tattooed. Both the tattoos I got done here were done by the same artist. The first time I went I got a word in script on my wrist and wanted some of the colour to be done in pink. The artist didn't have pink ink on hand so was mixing red and white ink to get it to a pink colour while tattooing me and my skin started bleeding a bit and getting irritated by that which I never experienced since I had a previous tattoo there before. It also turned out to be a light pink when I wanted a darker pink. The second time I went here, I went with one of my friends who was also getting a tattoo. This time I got a script quote tattoo on the left side of my chest. The receptionist was once again really nice and patient with me while trying to find the perfect font and size. I got the same artist as last time (I got this tattoo about a week or two after the previous one) which was no problem with me since I really did like his personality and he seemed really genuine. This tattoo went a lot better, didn't feel any pain at all, and had good conversation with the tattoo artist. This is a VERY small tattoo studio, they have very affordable prices so i'd say you get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend getting any graphic pieces here, all my tattoos are script at the moment so I don't care too much for who does it. I wouldn't recommend this place to get a portrait or any graphic done, come here if you want script done but not anything else. I hope to get my wrist covered up by a professional working at a higher end tattoo studio, my wrist tattoo looks pretty meh.

Since I was in high school, I've always wanted a tattoo with a very specific design - a realistic…read morehand holding a rose. Lucky me, I got my friend to sketch the original design pour moi, and it looked almost identical to what I envisioned it to be like. Since then, I started doing my homework & researching different artists' and shops' styles available in Toronto. After coming across two other major Toronto parlours in realism tattoos, a friend recommended Black Widow to me. I decided to do a round of consultations with all three shops to make the final call. Black Widow, and specifically, my artist Jazz @tattoowool, REALLY stood out of the other two when it comes to the consultation process. Not only was she detailed & precise throughout the consultation (asking all the right questions, e.g., how the hand should look like, the orientation of the rose), but she sounded very caring and compassionate throughout the conversation. These were all the green flags I was looking for from an artist who would leave a permanent art piece on me until the day I die. The consultation was very reassuring and a lot more promising than the other two consultations I had; hence, I made up my mind to go with Black Widow & Jazz. After another call with the shop manager, Jackson, I e-transferred the shop deposit. Upon my arrival, all staffs working at the shop were amicable and welcoming, especially my artist, Jazz and Jackson. I felt relaxed and let Jazz do the magic while listening to a podcast. The whole process went smooth like butter, and the end product looks exactly like the way I've always wanted it. Due to how I wanted it larger than initially discussed on the phone, I booked a second appointment a month later to let Jazz finish the piece by adding more shading/colour. After both sessions, Jackson reached out to me via email to ensure that I was doing fine while reminding me of the aftercare. Thank you for all these follow-ups, I made sure that the tattoo received the proper care & I recovered well from it. I want to say thank you to Jazz & Jackson again for the amazing experience & the elegant piece of art on me forever. Without a doubt, I'll be back soon.

Hon Tattoo is now doing piercings!…read more My friend and I came in to inquire about them and was able to get piercings on the spot. The piercer that was available at the time was Serena. Serena was so amazing! She explained all we needed to know about getting piercings, even though we've already gotten them done before elsewhere. She sterilized the area very thoroughly and walked us through the process and every step she was going to take. She also explained how getting 2 piercings at once will mean the 2nd might bleed a whole lot more because of the pressure. Serena really made sure we were ready for when the actual piercing would begin, that we weren't feeling faint or anything after, and that the areas were gently cleaned up before letting us head out. She was also just totally fun to chat with while we waited for our ears to finish bleeding. Amazing experience with Serena and would definitely recommend! Prices are also pretty good! Very comparable to piercings you'd get at tattoo shops. We both got one lobe and one helix piercing, total was $70 before tax and tip. I don't know which costs how much, but I believe it was something like $50 for helix and $20 for lobe. Since piercing is a new service for them, they actually haven't gotten a full range of piercing jewelry to use yet. At the time we went, they just had the basic stud.

I had sent them the image ahead of time with another image for an idea of shading. We talked to Bahador & made an appointment for the actual tattoo session for both of us. The day of the session we waited a bit as Bahador was with another client & finishing up. We showed him the images again & decided on the size & placement of the tattoo on each of us. Hubby went first & I waited on the couch nearby. It took about 1.5 hours for his session. Then I was next. Hubby had his tattoo placed on his forearm & I had mine placed on my left shoulder. Bahador was professional & nice. I kind of wondered if he was bored because our design was really simple. But we picked him because we really liked his other work that we saw on instagram. I think if I get another tattoo that is more elaborate I would like him to do it. He's very talented. The receptionist Talin (spelling) was really nice also. Her personality is friendly & bubbly. She offered us a drink while we waited. I opted for a simple bottle of water. There is a single washroom on the main floor for customers. There is also a lower level where some other artists work but we didn't go there so I'm not sure what it looks like. The main floor though is very brightly lit. The floors are white tiles. And the walls are white also. The tattoo chairs are black with silver hardware. Everything is very clean. Anyway, we were very satisfied with our matching tattoos. We also think the price was reasonable. I would come back here if I ever get another tattoo. Hubby has been here before & so has my SIL.
