He slept 20-22 hours a day. Got up to use the bathroom and grab a bite, then zonked out again. No energy. He had congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy and cardiomegaly. He was only in his 40's! He lived with me and I felt like he was a dead man walking. I asked Dr. Christy if she could see him. That was about 8 years ago. He still has those conditions and he's diabetic now, but she turned his life around. First a lot of tests, then med changes. He actually has a life now. He can drive, go to the grocery, the movies, take vacation with us. He was really given a new lease on life. It's like you have high BP and the doctor gives you BP pills. You also have kidney issues, so more pills for that. However, Dr. Christy wanted to determine if his pressure was high because his kidneys were failing or were his kidneys failing because his pressure was high. I'd say it was maybe 5 or 6 months of tests and medication tweaks and changes and he started being able to live again. She absolutely rocks. I would say I'm her number one fan, but I know too many people that claim they are her number one fan. She's just a good, old-fashioned common sense doctor.

About 2 months ago I went to this so called urgent care facility for a drug test. Wait time was…read morehorrible. I can't believe in this day and age of computers, I had to wait over an hour to see someone to administer a drug test. It wasn't like they didn't know I was coming. The company I was starting to work for overnighted the paperwork to them the day before. After sitting in the "2nd waiting area" for over 30 minutes I was taken to a room and the "nurse" decided the best place to remove my hair for the drug test was my legs. The way she collected my hair was placing a sheet of paper on the ground and shaving my hair onto it. One of the problems with this was there was hair from the previous drug tests on the floor, so I know my test could have been contaminated. I believe this establishment can improve in many different ways in order to make the patient happy. Hopefully they recognize what is wrong. If they change for the better I will update my post.
