I ordered my cab the day prior to go to the airport and I was supposed to get picked up at 6:30am I didn't get picked up until almost 7:30 luckily I was shooting to be early to the airport and not on time or I would have missed my flight. The dispatcher and the driver were very nice, it was just extremely frustrating and inconvenient for them to not be in the same page.

At 550am we called Yellow Cab, due to car issues, needed a last minute taxi to Orlando airport for an important business trip. Spoke with Johnny Mac who asked how soon needed, when I explained he said he was sorry but due to the distance of drivers/airport/etc he didn't think they could get there in time. I thanked him and proceeded to review list of other taxi companies. I then received a text from Johnny letting me know if another Taxi co who might be able to get here sooner to help us. What a surprise and a blessing! I was able to call them and my husband did not miss his flight. MR. JOHNNY MAC is an awesome asset to Yellow Cab. His kindness even though he clearly was busy, did not go unnoticed. Even though we were unable to utilize Checker Cab I would recommend then! I texted Mr Mac to thank him for his kindness, not only did he apologize that he couldn't meet our needs this am, he offered a discount on our next ride. Customer Service at its finest!! Thanks Checker Cab and Mr. Mac!!

Dealing with the dispatch person and the cab showing up were fine. The driver was also okay except…read morehe only put on his seatbelt when we were passing a LEO in a school zone and only signaled turns half of the time. The very bad parts were the price and the cab, itself. The dispatcher told me there was a $35.50 minimum price, which is ridiculous. But I was desperate and didn't have Internet access so I could use Uber or Lyft, which I did on my first ride of the day, from my home to a medical appointment for less than $15.00. It was only 6.8 miles! The $25+ difference in the rides was outrageous! What upset me more was how disgustingly filthy the car was. There were suspicious stains all over the seats and the headliner. I could just imagine someone projectile vomiting from the seats to the headliner. Then the door was also extremely dirty! The car was smelly (you could smell old cigarette smoke) and the A/C didn't work...at least not in the hellish back seat. I asked the driver if he could make it cooler but, I guess, he couldn't. When I got home, I took off my clothes and told my daughter to burn them. And then I wiped myself down with Lysol disinfectant wipes. I honestly felt subhuman sitting in that nasty car. I will NEVER use Checker Cab of Lakeland, again. NEVER!

Called again to RE confirm to make SURE my Dad wasn't left on the other side of town, and they guy said "We aren't available that date and time". I reminded him plans were made, and it is SOON, he merely stated we cannot do it at that date and time. I reminded him I already had a previous reservation/confirmation, NFG at all. Called Imperial, they answer their phone 24-7, and had someone there, on time, reasonable and courteous. If I wouldn't have called AGAIN to confirm, my elderly father would be standing on the side of the road waiting on a ride that never would have shown up...no email, no call, NADA. I re-confirmed as when I called the first time, the person answered was like "Yeah", so I kind of doubted the reliability/dependability, and sadly I was correct. I recommend using someone else.......or walking. Nothing worse than a business agreeing to do something, and then simply not doing it. It worked out, DESPITE them. JM

Called for an 8:15am pickup and the driver was not just prompt, but early. Chester drove my 5friends and I from our resort to Hollywood Studios this morning. Chester was polite, opening doors and putting down a seat for easy access (we took a mini van to fit us). His rate was fair, $20 flat. Later we called for a pickup from Epcot, about 30 minutes before we were ready to go, and he again was extremely efficient. He even explained where he'd pick us up. Heading home was the same flat rate too-no tricks or surcharge like uber. A++
