Five Star was the only shop that would make the time to get my truck in and repaired as fast (and properly) as they could. They even stuck by their work with a follow-up I had to do in another state. Long review: I noticed a major transmission leak 60 miles just outside Amarillo mid day and limped it in after calling around a bunch of different shops that quoted HUGE lead times. They got right on it and worked tirelessly to inspect and rebuild the whole thing and made sure they didnt cut corners and did it all the way it should be done. a couple short days later they had us back on the road. Even when I got a flashing O/D light halfway to my destination on the west coast, they got in contact with a partner shop and had it taken care of for me. Avoid at all costs. The old owner (Son) passed away from Covid 19. Whoever this new owner is he is…read morenot a good guy. I spent 4000 fixing a transmission of my ford explorer. Within a year, the transmission line began to leak at the radiator. I took it back to this new guy who was supposed to fix it, a water pump leak, and a palstic housing that was leaking and a few other things. We paid more than 800 to get these fixed. Got ti home and the transmission line is still leaking badly at the radiator. This transmission was destroyed in the first place by radiator fluid getting into it. He charges the fee and didn't fix the main problem. He is very rude and his estimates are super expensive. There is more negative interaction to this story but I am running out of space. Avoid S&S. It is not what it was when Son was alive!
