My neck and shoulders were killing me so I searched "massage near Carnegie or Robinson" (I had a 3…read morehour window while my kids were at a dance class). Green Spa came up as one of the only options that had same day availability so I figured I would give it a try. It is fairly easy to book online, but you can also call or walk in. One thing to note is that they have to locations in the mall. One on the lower level and one on the upper level. When you book, make sure that you note which location because I initially went to the one downstairs but needed to be at the one that was upstairs. (which was an interesting challenge because at the time, most of the escalators and elevators in the mall were out of service). There was some degree of a language barrier which made it a little difficult to communicate preferences, but they were able to ask about pressure of the massage and what areas you would like to focus on. If you are looking for a relaxing spa environment, this isn't it. You hear noise from the mall and some chatter from employees. It is also no frills in terms of waiting areas or decor. But if you want a massage without needing to make an appointment weeks in advance, this is a great option.

And the others employees where making so much noise cleaning the place the whole time I was there, that I could not relax The guy I think John was giving me the massage set a timer on his phone and kept looking at it. When I was leaving two other employees where sitting in front looking not so nice cause they must all drive together so they had to wait for me to get done. Don't people drive alone to work. Just very odd. I tipped $10 still and they I got a dirty look and started talking in a language that I could not understand. Will not return here ever

I decided to treat myself and purchase a Swedish Massage and Custom Facial Package. I easily booked…read moreonline and was so excited for my treatments! When I arrived, the check in process was clean and easy, and I was greeted warmly. I only had to wait a few minutes in the waiting room before Marisa was ready for my massage. Marisa immediately asked if I was allergic to any scents and/or body products, which I truly appreciated. She then asked if I had any specific concerns or areas I wanted her to focus on. When I told her about my TMJ flare up, she was very responsive. My massage was amazing! She was truly knowledgeable, open to feedback, and made me feel relaxed. After my massage, I went on to my facial. This was my first time ever receiving a facial, so I was super excited for Kaylea to work her magic. However, it turned out to be a rather disappointing experience. First of all, the walls were so thin I could hear every conversation had throughout the building, which made it very hard to relax. Secondly, I thought a steamer would be used, but warm towels were used instead. When she asked me what type of face mask I wanted, I wasn't sure of my choices. The only choice she gave me was the hydrating mask, so that's the one I ended up going with due to my lack of knowledge. While the mask was on, she was on her phone right behind me. It was super awkward... I definitely wish they would leave the room while the mask is setting! My skin felt great afterward, but the entire experience was uncomfortable, and it was so hard to relax! Overall, I probably wouldn't return to Element Day Spa. I don't treat myself often, so I rather pick a spa that really is more relaxing.

I feel lucky that she is located so close to my home.. but she is ABSOLUTELY worth the drive if you have to come from across town. I was experiencing a skin issue that was new for me & my skincare products and routine just weren't working in this season of life. Instead of my own trial and error I went to Dana for some skin recovery and expert guidance. I am about 2 weeks out from my first facial and a new low maintenance routine and my skin is glowing again! Her skincare routine suggestions while low maintainence were also affordable. Looking forward to my next appointment and being in her space and energy! :)

I've had several friends visit Dana and rave about the experience, so after the new year, when life…read morehad me feeling not so great and I really needed a lift, I decided to treat myself to one of her winter facial specials. "The Glacial" winter glow revival facial included an herbal steam, double cleanse, facial massage, dermaplane and snow algae face mask. It all added up to one of the most wonderful self-care experiences I have had, and the way my skin glowed afterward -- and has continued glowing and looking improved overall in the days since -- far exceeded my expectations. Beyond the results, though, I have to talk about how wonderful the experience is from the moment you walk in. Dana opens the waiting room 10 minutes before your appointment time so you can fill out basic paperwork regarding your medical history and skin goals. Then you talk to make sure you're on the same page. The session itself starts and ends with a short deep breathing exercise, helping you center yourself and focus. Everything felt so blissful and relaxing that I drifted off several times, and kept having to bring myself back from the mini dreams I was slipping into as I didn't want to miss the experience! The facial massage especially was wonderful, and a helpful starting point toward my skin goals. I think what I most appreciated is that when we discussed my typical skin care routine, which is incredibly low maintenance and a bit directionless right now, Dana could not have been kinder or more judgment free. She didn't push any products and gave me a sample to start out with, which I'm applying morning and night alongside one other product I'm using. Her other advice was to wake up and hydrate my skin in the morning with a splash of cold water. Seriously, free cold water. What a refreshing change from many estheticians; you genuinely get the feeling she cares. This is a gem of a small business, and I will absolutely be back to continue working with her.
