Poor & insensitive management. I rented 3 tables and some chairs for my daughter's birthday party over the weekend and knew that the items needed to be delivered back to the store that following Monday. This was a non-issue until my husband (who is a first responder) got ordered into work on Monday with 48 hours notice due to low manpower. For anyone who knows anything about police-work, knows that order-ins are non-negotiable. Since my husband got notified of his order-in after Taylor Rental had closed for the weekend, I wasn't able to call them until first thing Monday morning to explain the situation that we were in. I was home alone with a 1-year-old that day, with no truck or trailer to get the tables and chairs back by myself. I explained this to the management and said that my husband could bring them back first thing Tuesday morning. Instead of being understanding, they chose to charge us $54 (half of the total rental price) for bringing the items back just 12 hours late, due to circumstances completely out of our control. If it had been a weekend day, I'd be more understating as a customer, but it was a Tuesday. They did not need those items. This was just a quick & easy way for them to make $50. They said this is "policy". I work in government contracting, and there is always an exception to any policy- It's called humanity and Taylor Rental does not have any. As a loyal customer for 2 years, I won't be going back. There are so many rental options out there nowadays- Save your money and go somewhere with better and nicer management. read more

Horrible manager. I drove 45 minutes to rent a concrete mixer after calling, they didn't bother to tell me on the phone that renting before 3:00 on Saturday requires a 2 day rate, and that I'd have to wait until 3:00 to get the 1 day rate. Even after explaining to the manager I had just drove 45 minutes and perhaps he'd work with me a bit and that as a contractor I'd done thousands of dollars worth of business with another branch, his only response was "we're independently owned and policy is policy". What great service! I rented a professional grade paint sprayer to paint a good size deck, it did the job great. The staff was helpful in answering some questions I had about using the unit and made the experience hassle free! The rental price was well worth the quality of the unit I rented. read more

Very rude to do business with. Reservation and pick-up went well, but return was a disaster. Staff was very rude to me and my son and refused to apologize. I had to take the tent I rented down by myself and it was a wet, rainy day. The tent was soaking wet, heavy and muddy and I was unable to get it back into the bag. Instead of being understanding, the staff told me to get help next time! What was I supposed to do, wave my magic wand???? Glad I bought the damage waiver because otherwise I am sure they would have claimed I damaged the tent. The next time I need a tent, I am going someplace else read more
