She did a quick intro and immediately inquired about my health as she looked over my recorded information I filled out upon arrival. After I finished my spill of why I felt she was a Godsend, she did something I NEVER EXPERIENCED. She said, Now, let me tell you a little about myself!". Of all the doctors that I have visited throughout my life's journey - no other has ever opened that door to make me feel comfortable to that degree. Yea! Many come in that room and immediately ready to have you breath in and out, talk for two minutes and have you on your way - NOT DR. V. I explained my extenuating circumstances and she assured me she and her staff would be able a accommodate my situation and a workaround option as well! She truly listened, was able to get my medications to the pharmacy in a timely manner, she assured easy accessibility deemed necessary and made me feel at ease to open up to her. Ironically, Dr. V used to work with my long-time physician of 10+ years who I hated to leave at Chen and he hated for me to go. When I extended greetings to him for Dr. V., he told me that he's glad that I'm in good hands with Dr. V. - that was my second confirmation. I thanked God for his guidance. I am even changing my son's primary to Dr. V. I am going to get more family members to follow me as I did in the past. It's quite rare to find a good physician in his/her OWN, PERSONAL PRACTICE - I've been blessed. Now, I don't have to be held hostage by political beauraracy, preferred internal networks, board members who has never met you waiting for approval to refer to outside specialist, incentives granted for patients healthcare, doctor referrals propaganda, doctor office being ran like the insurance company, too many patients, yet, not enough doctors to thoroughly tend to patients, etc... OASIS is the opposite and Dr. V. resolve is to tend to the patient's health solely!

It was made very clear that if I did not make it before 11am she would not see me...So I rushed from the downtown area..When I go there the receptionist with the light eyes was the worse I had ever experienced. I never got to see the doctor. She was the most un-assisting front desk person I had ever experienced. She does not give a D&^n if you are helped at your sick time of need or not. I explained to her that I was not well and had made my way from my job and please I needed to see the doctor. She explained some "procedures" and I asked her if she was telling me I would not see the doctor today and she said "well the system takes 24 hrs to update and without the update visible in the system the doctor is not going to see you." She never considered any alternatives to me seeing the doctor. Instead she was ok to turn around a sick patient. By the way did I mention I was referred to this doctor... (hahaha) SO when I left I felt that because I had been referred from a reliable individual there must have been a mistake. I called back the office and asked to leave a message for the Office Manager or the Doctor to give me a call. To date, I have not received anything from either. My insurance allows me to receive two free doctor visits every year. The first time I came they were charging me $45 for a doctor's visit. Under my plan a doctor's visit is suppose to be $35 not $45. So of course I complained about why I'm getting charged when I should get 2 free visits. I ended up getting the visit for free after they called my insurance to verify. The receptionist mentioned her system didn't update. Then I go again for my 2nd visit, mind you per my insurance it's suppose to be free. I go in and another receptionist this time tells me I need to pay $45. Again I tell this receptionist that this is my second visit so it should be free. This time she says oh I see let me ask my manager. She didn't ask her manager but just let me get my visit. From my experience it looks like they don't check people's policy so they just charge a specialist price unless you speak up. So if you're coming here make sure you know first how much you have to pay before getting charged incorrectly by the receptionist. The only reason I have a three star is because Michelle Powell is an above average doctor.

I normally don't write reviews for doctors, but her exceptional experience and me seeing it for myself really showed how much effort and time Dr. Glassman and his staff puts towards his patients. My cousin found out about Dr. Glassman from a referral through a friend who was also treated by him. Scheduling an appointment was very easy. When we got there, the front staff was very courteous and didn't wait long at all; probably about 5-10 minutes from front door to seeing the medical staff. Dr. Glassman then talked to my cousin about her pain issues and how the previous doctor at a Miami hospital totally mismanaged her pain after her surgery and got her dependent on pain meds. Luckily, Dr. Glassman corrected all of that, and he spent a lot of time talking to her, evaluating her previous medical records, and did what was probably the most thorough physical exam my cousin and I have ever seen. Prior to coming in, my cousin and I came up with a list of questions to ask, and we discussed it with Dr. Glassman and his medical staff. He made sure to answer every one of our questions to our satisfaction. He took the time to fully address all of our concerns. Again, Dr. Glassman and his staff were super thorough and set a new standard for my cousin and me!

There's a few spots on the side of the building as well as a lot behind the office. The front desk staff has always been very kind to me- helpful and nice. I think they appreciate the fact that I don't come in here demanding anything or complaining so they take care of me because I have a solid understanding that your wait time is always long & that you'll see the doctor for about 10 min. The main reason for the 3 stars is due to the wait time. That being said, the average wait time is usually an hour to 1.5hrs. My recommendation is to get the earliest appointment you can- everything backs up and when I've had an afternoon appointment, the wait can be 2+hrs. If my apptmt is 8:30, I expect I'll be seen around 9:30/10. It's annoying but I know that's what to expect. The wait is worth the service- all of the doctors on staff have always been super attentive, sweet and genuinely care about my health. I feel like I can always be open and honest about any health issues and that they'll be addressed. So to me, it's worth it when you find a doctor with great bedside manner. I'll take that any day over a doctor who doesn't know how to talk to their patients and treats you like a payment not a patient. I don't think they have any male drs on staff but I prefer a female doctor anyways.

Dr. Sztern the MD is very popular, so I've become more familiar with the PA and ARNP. They accept most insurances. They do collect blood specimens on site with a one time charge. They have a policy about calling only if results are abnormal, but no call just to "let you know everything is okay." I moved recently about 30 minutes away into another county and I still make the trip once a year and as needed to this doctors office. They're really nice about seeing you earlier before your appointment if you came early and they're not too busy. Definitely make an appointment though.
