A year ago (May 2015) I hired Bob Taylor and his crew to pave my driveway. It's my first home and I wanted to make a good investment towards improving it. When finished with the job, there were lines in the asphalt left from the steam roller. I was left with the impression that with the summer heat and traffic on the drive that these would go away (after all, I'm not in the asphalt business, so I took the man at his word). They did not. It is approaching one year and the end of the driveway is beginning to break off in small pieces with bits of the gravel pulling away. Recently I contacted Bob to ask him to come out to look at the issues I was having, he told me he would look and see what he could do. I waited patiently for a call and one month later, called again. This time I left a detailed message of the issues, my home address and return phone number as well as reminder of the last time we had spoke. Again, no return phone call. Recently I called another company to take a look and give me an evaluation. He was all to familiar with the problems that Bob Taylor had given customers in regards to the extreme lack of quality and expertise he provided. The man who evaluated the work Taylor had done showed me stress marks in the asphalt that comes from rolling the material incorrectly. He pointed out several other things that come easy to someone to spot in his line of work, such as uneven distribution of the asphalt..... So, If you are considering calling Bob Taylor, think again. It's not worth picking up the phone even for a quote. If you want quality, this is not the man that will give it to you. He will however take your money, throw some asphalt down and skip out on any follow up repairs that even his invoice states he will stand by in regards to quality and workmanship. read more
